    It's all good.

Also to be fair, if it ever does leave, i have a feeling people will pull a Stranger Things on Park Avenue & Clive Barker to bring back Hellraiser to DBD, since people don't like content that's unavailable, especially when it's full-fledged dlcs as seen with the Stranger Things dlc.

Phantasm is my most wanted license, The Tall Man is without a doubt (imo) one of the best & most iconic cult classic horror villains and his inclusion in DBD is more than warranted & deserved at this point.

Also outside the occassional fan games, there hasn't been a single official video game related to that franchise and with DBD being the Smash Bros of Horror, it might as well mark Phantasm's debut into video games.

Phantasm is a pretty deep cut, good call. Would love to see it. DBD needs to either jump for more niche/cult licenses like Phantasm or embrace modern horror (the only licenses originating from post-2004 are Stranger Things and Left 4 Dead)

  • The rights of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise are difficult to navigate at the moment. Warner Brothers still owns the international rights for the IP, but the Craven estate owns the North American rights and has since 2019.

To get classic Freddy BHVR would need to play ball with Warner Brothers (who are apparently incredibly stingy with their IPs- Fred didn't get anything for years when they owned all of it) as well as the Craven estate, who might want to play ball either- allegedly, Blumhouse has been interested in rebooting ANOES but the Craven estate has priced the IP too high for them. All 3 parties would need to come to an agreement, and considering how tough it was for BHVR to grab Nightmare years ago, it's not a great position for them.

If they did, though, Robert Englund would almost certainly be game. He loves the character and has done voice acting for him before (MK9), and the main reason he's retired from Krueger is because he's "too old and thick" to do fight scenes any more.

The hook was once without basekit endurance, it should have been added to both. It's a necessity in soloq and against crazy tunneling killers. I don't see the issue in it if killers again just don't instantly tunnel off hook/cage, plus if the cage if far it won't affect you, if it's close go for the unhooker. Simples

The whole point of the cage is that it ignores all safeties for survivor associated with the hook lmao

No Deliverance, no endurance, no 4%ing, nothing.

Well endurance isn't a perk, it's a basekit thing to help when being tunnelled or to prevent it. I'm not asking for perks to work, it just need that basekit mechanic.

All mechanics go. No carrying to hook, no chance for a save, no chance to get off that cage on your own, no hook related perks on either end, no endurance. To keep one but not the rest seems weird.

There's no higher chance of going there

According to DBDinfo (I'm not sure how reliable they are for map statistics but it's the only data I could find), Hawkins has a 15.9% Map Draw chance. That's about 5 times as likely as any other map in the game.

  • Executioner's whole shtick is throwing a middle-finger to all hook-related mechanics. No unhook perks like OTR, DS, BT and no hook perks like Pop, any scourge hook, Furtive, No Way Out, DMS etc.

Bypassing the hook mechanics is half of his power- he is rewarded for giving you Torment by the cage having unique mechanics.

  • Once the few big classic horror icons still remaining are all brought in I'd be thrilled to see BHVR tackle some more modern licenses. Here's a breakdown of the IPs and from when they originate:

1970s- Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Alien

1980s- A Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, Hellraiser, Child's Play

1990s- Ghost Face is heavily inspired by Scream (1996), Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Ringu

    2000s- Saw, Left 4 Dead

    2010s- Stranger Things

More stuff from the 21st century would be great in my opinion- they've established a willingness to delve into gaming icons with SH and RE and there's just so much potential there- Dead Space, Slender (if they can?), BioShock, The Last of Us, Telltale's Walking Dead, Amnesia etc.

  • I'd just take anything new for Shape at this point LMAOO

Zero cosmetics since 2019 and a criminally dated power- at least we know it's getting a rework but that's gonna be a while down the line when Twins, Freddy and Hillbilly are all being looked at as well.

Although he did get a new lobby animation in the PTB so all my worries have been swept away ๐Ÿ˜‰

More moris would be great- newer ones like Xeno's and Wesker's are exceptionally good while the old killers have them slap your back a few times with their weapon and call it a night. Bit of a shame, but BHVR have said that updating old moris is on their backlog, so fingers crossed we'll get something before the heat death of the universe.

  • Who are we missing for licensed Blights?

Shape, Cannibal, Nightmare, Pig and Demo, right?

I can easily see Blighted Demo and potentially Blighted Pig but there's no chance of a Blighted Nightmare (that mf still has ZERO cosmetics six years later), and compared to other licensed characters who either got Blighted cosmetics very soon after release (Executioner, Nemesis, Xenomorph) or consistently got cosmetics in the meantime (Ghost Face), Shape and Cannibal haven't had cosmetics in four years and two years, respectively. It's a shame, Blighted Myers with the serum dripping out the eyeholes like in Halloween 2 would be so cool. Besides, the license holders for Leatherface might wanna just put all their eggs into the TCM game basket (although I would KILL for Nicotero Leatherface in DBD)

  • They're fine. Like, I'll roll my eyes a little bit when a Lithe user zips through a god window and makes a ton of distance, but ultimately it's a non-issue. When Dead Hard got nerfed and now when Made For This is in the process of getting nerfed, I've seen people complain/warn about the oncoming "SB/Lithe spam", which is gonna be annoying, sure, but doesn't even remotely compare to how infuriating DH/MFT were in their prime.

People have been used to facing these perks at an incredibly high pickrate for years, it's not gonna change much when we get back to them over MFT.

What difference does their rank make? Any kind of player can be toxic.

Obviously it's anecdotal but from my experience the higher rank a survivor is, the more likely they are to be toxic. I'm not saying all red ranks are toxic but there's a noticeably bigger proportion from what I've seen.

  • I always see Claudettes, Feng Mins, Megs and the occasional Bill on the survivor side.

I also can't go 3 matches without going against a Myers.

  • -Candyman is really likely in my opinion. He's really requested, decently iconic, and would also promote his new movie coming out this year.

-Hellraiser/Pinhead is slept on, in my opinion. I think it's certainly iconic enough, would have sick as hell gameplay and a unique flair to the visuals.

-Alien/Xenomorph is a maybe and I really hope it does, but FOX might save it for the Predator game. In the same vein I don't think Predator is happening due to being the star of his game.

-Chucky could theoretically happen, he's certainly iconic and popular enough, but he'd require a huge gameplay change that I'm not sure would work.

-Jason is still in legal hell but apparently that's coming to a close soon-ish. Now that his game's dead in the water (a lot like him, haha) I think he's one of the likeliest licenses next year.

-Five Nights at Freddy's is in the same boat as Jason in that it's probably not happening this year but I think it'll be a big player next year. You can complain that it's a kiddy series or whatever but it's one of gaming's biggest horror franchises, belongs to a dev who would surely be OK with BHVR using his IP, and is still pretty popular 6 years after creation.

-Resident Evil isn't hugely likely in my eyes. Capcom are seemingly really open with their IPs guest starring in other properties but RE Resistance does exist and Capcom may not be up for promoting a rival asymmetric horror game.

-Steven King has said no to BHVR several times when they've asked for Pennywise, if I'm remembering correctly. If that's true what makes the next times any different? It's a shame that he's not more open to collaborate because IT (as well as The Shining and Carrie) would both fit excellently into this game.

-Leprechaun would be really really funny but he runs into the Chucky problem of being too short to work without drastically changing gameplay.

-Psycho/Norman Bates is really cool in theory but I'm not really sure what he'd do to make him unique.

-Jeepers Creepers would have been an excellent choice were it not for the fact that the director of the films is a convicted pedophile and doesn't deserve to have his work put into what is becoming the Horror Hall of Fame.

-I'd love a Final Destination survivor. Not much you can do killer-wise.

-I think I heard something about a Hack/Slash crossover? Not familiar with it at all but it could be cool I guess?
