Look, we might not be able to agree on whether it's gen times or map size, we can all agree that there is an issue. I personally think both are a problem, 3 survivors working on gens while you end a chase in only 40 seconds is 1.5 total gens done not including the time to hook and find another survivor without BBQ & chili and the initial search for a survivor. We can also look at map size as an issue because on the largest maps with 110 speed killers it can take upwards of 25 seconds to walk across the map if I'm not mistaken. The whole argument of whether killer is underpowered is only an argument among survivor mains who have never touched killer in their lives. We all know that there is an issue except for BHVR and if they don't realize there is an issue soon their game will die quick. Personally I've nearly stopped playing the game all together at this point because killer just isn't fun anymore and playing survivor I either loop him for 4 gens before he gets a hit and feel bad or my teammates all die in the first 4 minutes because they're terrible. The game has gone from an enjoyable thing to play to a boring sweatfest where if I have fun on killer I can't win and survivor just isn't fun bwcause there's no challenge. Killers shouldn't have to rely on survivors making mistakes, and they shouldn't have to worry about all the gens getting popped in 3 minutes. Things like the ruin nerf are unhealthy for the game and the gen speeds and map sizes are as well. In my opinion they pander so much to the newer audience that they just forget about the old one and ruin the game. I think if they don't start nerfing survivors for real and not the ridiculous tool box nerf that won't even make that much of a difference there game is going to go under and it truly makes me sad because just a couple months ago I planned on p3ing every survivor and killer and getting a hundred of each item and add on on all of them because I was having so much enjoyment out of it and then they nerfed ruin and made a lot of fun killers unplayable nearly and I just kinda stopped playing. I wanna be clear I have 1300 hours of around 70/30 killer survivor so you don't really have to take this seriously if you don't want to but I just wanted to vent about how I felt about the game and put in my opinion on the argument of gen speed vs map size which ones the issue. Thanks for reading gamers.

Or, or...
stop tunneling.
You don't see me getting mad about getting hit with DS, because when I do get hit by it...guess what? i tunneled them.
wow. a perk. that counters tunneling. who woulda thought a perk like that would exist in a game like this.
You can't just say "you don't see me complaining" in a scenerio where you're in a very small minority who don't think it needs to be fixed, when you can get 2 after someone is unhooked and still eat a ds without slugging the person off hook there is an issue. DS isn't used as an anti tunneling perk it's used as a perk that lets survivors do whatever they want for 60 seconds or you get punished for "tunneling" when they block your path from chasing the unhooker. The problem is that people abuse the perk in it's current form because it's literal invincibility from being hooked. I think it's a great idea for a perk change in theory but it doesn't work when put into action and that's why 90% of killers think it's unfair and just because you don't think it needs a change doesn't mean other people's opinions don't matter.

Bruh I hate when people pull bullshit like this, I play red rank both sides and I try my ######### hardest to make certain everyone has fun and yet if you go against a decent survivor team that's full of gen jockeys that push through ruin and make sure they pop gens at the same time they love to abuse you in the end game chat since you only got 2 or 3 kills and trash talk you even when you say gg. It's so toxic and it's really annoying when you think about how hard you tried throughout the game to make sure everyone have fun just to be trash talked because you didn't slug off hook and you didn't camp when it would have given you the win. I really wish survivor mains weren't so entitled sometimes.

Tunneling is not a real issue to complain about
Camping is not a real issue to complain about
Gen rushing is not a real issue to complain about
Slugging is not a real issue to complain about
Yes they all can suck from time to time but the main problem with this is that people feel the need to ask the devs to stop this kinds of playstiles when it only depends on the player to play how they feel better
You dont see people complaining in the forums of shooter games because one guy is camping in a corner
There is no need to discuss about camping, tunneling, gen rushing etc. Either they can be the most effective strategy depending on the situation or if the player does it you just move on from that game and forget about it. Nobody wants to hear the same arguments for or against the same specific strategies.
And if ,as many people say, they play against the same strategy many games in a row use perks that adapt to it if you really hate it that much
There are far more important things to discuss about. Yet we are still complaining about the same stuff over and over and asking the people that make the game to change how others play (despite they themselves agree that is just how they play)
PLAY HOW YOU WANT AND LET OTHERS PLAY HOW THEY WANT, if they play well its good on them if they losose they will learn to change their playstile
Tldr (or something): stop with the 1000 complains about tunneling or gen rushing, move on from that game if you didnt like it. DONT MAKE ANOTHER POST ABOUT IT
The problem with being hooked and camped just to be saved, downed for 60 to let ds go away, and rehooked isn't the fact we lost as survivor, it's the fact that we waited up to 10 minutes for a game just to have it ruined and that we now have to go wait for a new lobby with a 20% chance of being tunneled. You should be punished for ruining other people's games and you should be punished for only killing 1 survivor. I play both sides at a red rank level and I realized so damn fast as killer when I was in brown ranks for crying out loud that it's not fun to sit by a hook and I realized once I stopped how much more fun it was to work hard and get a 4k rather than camp 2 people on hook and have 2 escapes basically every single game. The problem with tunneling and camping is the loss of fun for BOTH sides, a survivor doesn't play the game and the killer doesn't feel accomplishment for getting kills, because they shouldn't. On the other hand, Gen rushing isn't a thing. Gen rushing is a term for a killer to use when the survivors do gens at a consistent pace and when they do it shows how unfair the game is. 1 40 second chase on killer gives survivors enough time for 3 gens halfway done and that's not including the time for finding the survivor, hooking them, or getting to a new one just to have the one you hooked unhooked and healed in 25 seconds while 2 gens get popped in front of you. Camping/tunneling needs to be punished and killers need a buff or survivors need a nerf, it's pretty obvious once you play both sides for a long time and the people who don't agree are the camping/tunneling killers, new players, and people who only play survivor (the ones who say gen times are fine). Simple as that.

Do people really still think killer should be nerfed and not buffed? Do the math, a good chase for killer lasts 30 seconds and probably takes another 10 to hook them and get to another survivor with BBQ, that's 40 seconds of work on 3 gens when they only take 80 seconds total. In other words survivors get 150% of gen work in 1 chase, not including the possible 20 seconds to find someone if you get unlucky. Not only that, but if the survivors go for the unhook and heal it takes probably 10 Seconds for the unhook then 16 for a heal, so 26 to get rid of your 40 seconds of chase and finding a new chase. This amount of time allows the 4th person to pop 1st Gen about the time killer gets 1st hit on new chase, and for the unhooker and unhooked to run back to the unhooker's gen and pop it by the time the killer gets 2nd down, AND there will be another gen at 50% from the first person chased. None of this is including perks such as we'll make it for an 8 second heal off hook or if the survivors can't hit their ruin skill check but I think just based on the fact that 60% of gens (2 complete 2 at 50%) will be done by a smart team with no items by 2nd hook to a decent killer is kinda ridiculous. I feel like most people who complain about killer being over powered have never actually sat down and played killer for a rank reset. I can tell you right now that unless you're playing nurse or spirit you will tell immediately when you make it even to purple ranks how much more difficult it is to win as killer against a good team of pallet efficient survivors. I know this is long and we could get into details about perks and add-ons and items and offerings and blah blah blah, but I think even if we look at that a good survivor team should come out on top with atleast 2 if not more escapes. I play both sides rank 1 pretty evenly so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what's up with the game, but maybe I'm wrong. That's my 2 cents but if you wanna have a discussion about it I'm up for that but I don't really check on threads often so I guess if you care enough or think I'm wrong you can hit me up on steam at Moppot.rats. Sorry for the long ass comment that probably made no sense I typed it up in like 5 minutes and I'm too lazy to read through it lmao

Here is why your conspiracy theory is complete crap. There are players like me that actively go out of their to not rank up. How do I do that? By allowing survivors that would otherwise die get a free escape. None of your theories seem to account for survivors that should have died not dying. The reality is that the kill rate should be higher.
That's completely wrong, what about survivor suicides? They're far more common than killers letting randoms go, so before you insult someones idea and be a jerk about it, think about what you say because I garuntee the 1 survivor you let go doesn't come close to the 20 who kill themselves on hook.

There is only 1 way to get reliable and workable data from any game that does not freely provide it.
Collect your own data.
Over 10 games gather up kill counts, hook totals, perks used for both K/S, Killer played, map RNGed, items brought/found by Survivors, add-ons used by Killer, game length, and offerings burnt (outside of BP boosts) all need to be accounted for. Your personal data by itself is FAR too limited though so you also need to gather the same data from at least 10 players in total.
Once you have those 100 games spread across multiple players, it still isn't enough thanks to how many total Killers there are in the game diluting the data between them all and how rank effects player skill during those games with low ranks being tilted one way and high ranks another. But it is a start.
Anyone willing to help record their data and post it? Screen cap the end game scoreboard for 10 or so games and that should be a start. The more details you can give with your data the better, but scoreboards should be effective in gathering the basics. If we get enough people in total to give enough data then the community could, maybe, form an opinion that isn't tainted by purely off of personal gameplay or rehashed opinions from someone popular.
I agree with this to a certain extent, but then it gets into 3 big issues in my opinion. First of all, no matter what you do, you're always going to have a higher skill level with certain killers versus others you don't play as much, like if you look at otzdarva, he plays all killers all the time but he easily has the most hours in trapper (atleast based on what I know), so he'll most likely have a higher kill rate than on the killer he plays the least. Another issue is skill level since everyone is different, we can't look at hours since if you are a killer main with 2000 hours and you only play every other weekend, you probably aren't as good as a 1000 hour killer who plays everyday since they're more consistent, we also can't look at rank since most people who really try can get rank 1 fairly easily. Finally, the third and most important one imo, skill level of other players. As I said in the last point, anyone can get to higher ranks, there's no real way of making sure that you get same skill level players in each game, meaning there's no way to get even statistics. I've personally in 1 day gone from 4k 5 Gen Bubba to 2 kills on Freddy, and Freddy is one of my more often played killers. I think no matter what you do the data is going to be skewed somehow, it's something you can easily tell from BHVR's data purely based on the fact nurse is the worst killer on there but people DC when they play against her since they know there's little to no chance to win against her at even green ranks. I don't think any data can be truly accurate other than to yourself, and honestly you probably know who you play best if you play killer or atleast have a general idea of who you're good at. I guess it might be a cool experiment but other than that it's not really anything that can help the issue.
