Oh gosh, you absolutely don't. It's a good question. What we mean by this is that when a Survivor is hooked multiple times in a row, which directly results in them dying, this effect would come into play.

Could you please clarify if condemned or reverse bear trap kills will also trigger this?

  • Legion is not that good in 2v8. It has nothing to do with 1v4, their power really is just not that strong let alone OP. If every single player is letting themselves stay injured and getting owned that's a gameplay issue, it's just that no killer up to this point has required any level of coordination to counterplay. This is the same issue Legion has against solo queue and I don't see how they could fix it beyond completely reworking the killer or adding communication. They shouldn't be removed just because they're annoying though.

You have a million pallets to stun Legion out of their power, making them useless until it recharges. You have an entire class whose ability can instantly heal multiple players with just two people using it. You frequently also have herbs on the ground all over that can also instantly heal you. If you play around Legion well you can see just how weak their kit actually is in this mode.

Too little too late, if you ask me.

None of this addresses WHY people don't want to play Survivor. Getting rid of bots, at least a bit, helps a tiny bit.

There is currently no evidence people don't want to play survivor other than people who don't like survivor in 2v8 telling us that nobody likes playing survivor as if it is a fact. I enjoy survivor in 2v8 and the fact you can instantly getting 5 other people (7 before the bots messed with the matchmaking/lobbies) at any time of day or night, often even faster than you could find 3 in 1v4 strongly implies otherwise. There's just significantly more killers proportionally, which is all we do know.

If this ever becomes permanent, DBD will die a quick death. Have said that the past two times it was out.

There isn't enough variety in survivor gameplay. It gets old very quickly. It should be an occasional mode that releases over a weekend only, every couple of months maybe.

Its not even been out 48 hours yet and look at the response to it. Two weeks (or even more if it gets extended again) is doing so much damage to the health of the game and the effect it also has on the normal 1v4 is driving people away in droves this time around. The game cannot sustain it.

Strongly disagree. It's the most fun the game has ever been for me and the most popular thing they've ever added. I will take it over solo queue 1v4 any day and I've pretty much stopped playing survivor except for when 2v8 is active for that reason.

Things like survivor variety can be worked on over time and I feel like this is an extreme overreaction calling it damaging to the game. What we saw initially was queues normalizing after it was in the game long enough and finding killer matches became viable. IMO the only thing it needs is more content (classes and killers, unique gameplay things like herbs) and to get rid of the bots and I'll pick over 1v4 forever. Game has needed a casual mode like this for so long, it's the healthiest thing they could have added.

  • 2v8 is genuinely the most fun I've ever had playing DBD and I can't wait for it to become permanent, I will definitely spend way more time and money in this game when that happens.

Bots however have completely ruined the survivor experience in this mode and need to go. I don't want to play 2v6 and I am tired of getting sandbagged. Queue times are worse than ever as killer and even as survivor they take longer because people keep dodging lobbies or it sits there at 6 players waiting for much longer than it took to get in a match before.

  • Has there been any comment from BHVR about this? I was only willing to pay $15 for a legendary skin of basically the same character because I believed they were much larger.

I feel very mislead paying that much and being given a different look than what was in the store. I don't see why we shouldn't be able to use the larger size because as everyone said it is strictly a disadvantage if anything. :/

I would completely disagree with the pay to win aspect, as someone has already mentioned, the strongest killer in the game is free...and there's no denying the fact that she's the strongest.

What you're talking about is wanting to play the other characters, because you or your friend are better with them - that doesn't make something pay to win as you can still "win" without those characters. Playing the game unlocks more things, you can unlock characters/perks with shards etc as well as some cosmetics - this of course encourages gameplay, but it's definitely not about paying.

You can unlock perks with shards when BHVR lets us. You either have to pay for licensed DLC or wait weeks and weeks because of how the shrine of secrets is set up. Let's not pretend money isn't a factor to how well you can do in the game coming from someone with every DLC. Soul Guard has never appeared in the shrine. Lethal Pursuer has never appeared in the shrine.

It can be many months between times strong licensed perks appear in the shrine which can otherwise only be obtained through paying. If the shrine wasn't a weekly rotation with only 4 perks this argument would be fair, but it's extremely disingenuous the way you say it right now.

Personally speaking I have no problem with the way killers are set up (other than the fact that there is no possible way to access Demogorgon's gameplay if you didn't own him before), it's like a fighting game in that new characters are naturally going to be paid. The perks however are extremely defining of how well you can do and definitely skirt the line of P2W. It's 100% something that can be fixed though without changing the business model of the game at all.

  • It is clear here we have a killer who is extremely low tier and needs all the help we can get so there is no reason to remove their best playstyle. After all, it's all she has going for her. That is why I'm proposing we bring back box camping Pig ๐Ÿ˜

  • Having this bug almost every game as Sheva also. Happens at the very beginning until I do a gen then it goes away and will sometimes happen again at the post-game screen

  • I agree that this needs to happen. I also have a friend I can not get to play the game again because of Plague's power making them sick. They should definitely have an option to change the vomit appearance/sound to something else.

  • Really disappointing reward, should have included auric cells if they were gonna do this. I also already had the Plague skin so last month's reward was useless too. What's going on BHVR?

  • I am also waiting for this. They reiterated that it was still coming last month but it feels like it's taking an extremely long time for no reason. If we could at least officially know why it isn't here yet that would be nice, because I really don't understand.

  • What is the point you're trying to make exactly? That he should be nerfed because he can be strong when you compare him to weak killers and ignore his weaknesses (like how his power is almost useless at many loops)?

  • Gameplay wise I have no idea other than the speed he can go places, but it's not consistent with other high mobility killers.

I am pretty certain it's just supposed to be cool. He is the main antagonist of the biggest horror video game series and the final boss of final bosses, it just makes sense for you to feel that intensity whenever you're in the same area.

  • Where is this BHVR? Didn't you say it was coming?

  • Please fix this BHVR, my game is so blurry unless I make my entire Windows tiny for this one game :/

  • I am extremely confused by this patch all around. Nerfing Thanataphobia was justified, but making it useless except on the killers it was already annoying on vs solo queue players? Why?

    Nerfing Mettle of Man? Why?

Skill checks are apparently too oppressive so their solution is bringing back Pain Resonance and Dead Man's Switch combo meta because? What?

I don't understand the point of this patch at all, how is this intended to make the game more balanced and/or fun for anyone?
