the game genuinely crashed so much that i got a 24 hour ban :,)
after some trial and error i changed some settings and found it made a HUGE difference in the amount of times ive crashed, now averaging 7-8 games before the game decides to hit me with a 5-15min ban
(dx11 made the biggest difference, although my game was a bit stuttery when i used it)
launching via dx11 has helped reduce it for me, also going into nvidia control panel and changing the settings (Low Latency Mode → Ultra, Texture Filtering - Quality → High Performance, Vertical Sync → Off, Power Management Mode → Prefer maximum performance, Max Frame Rate → On (60 FPS))
i play on xbox on pc and i have the game on epic as well, helped both clients crash less (they still crash tho)
if you disconnected from a game you should restart the game and try to ready up (even if you cant play immediately), as the ban only counts down once youve done that.

this is a copy of a message i sent in the official dbd discord (and later as an answer to someone on the subreddit) and i want to add a bit more to it:
ive tried using epic games at first since i thought it was an xbox on pc error but no, crashed on epic too. pretty much every game crashed (less in any killer games though). i tried looking up any suggestions on how to fix it but couldnt really find a fix (besides "lower your graphics and turn off fsr!", which didnt make it any better)
launching via dx11 seems to have had the biggest impact overall, although the first round after starting up feels a bit more stuttery at first than it did using dx12
while yeah, as ive said (in the copied message) it has helped reduce it greatly but the game still crashes... now its been giving me max. 15 minute of being banned from matchmaking though, which i count as a partial win :)
issues for me started shortly after the 'the judgement' update while i had no problems before that
it also doesnt seem to be triggered by a specific action as far as i can tell. it crashes no matter if im standing still, moving, on hook, hooking, doing a gen, etc.

doesnt mean it isnt shameful that this game is so disastrous atmhelped change the game from crashing practically every single game to once every two is hours
