I guess the devs really didn't like that wicked and resurgence was a basement camper's nightmare

I would say the majority of players just don't care and want to play the game. What the license is, is less important than how the power works.
a lot of them don't, but they're also being drowned out by the supporters of the chapter
-
And if this is considered political, please note that this is official content being added to the game that players are genuinely concerned about.

If someone has 9/10 of my qualifications to donate to, I may have to look passed that 1/10 and get over it. Just an example. I think people honestly try to take this to the next level simply from not liking FNAF but go on to pretend its murder to prove their point. I'm lesbian and I've never had a problem with FNAF coming into DBD, but again I know that this random person contributing to something like that actually affects me in no way whatsoever at the end of the day.
The problem is that is does. As a fellow queer person, you should know that giving financial support to those that advocate against you directly allow them to continue to spew their hatred. Feel free to spend it however you'd like, but I think ignoring the fact that money talks is wildly problematic.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Actual maturity is dwindling these days. Way too much sensitivity. Find a nice middle ground I say.
middle grounds are nice when it's not about civil rights. all here for middle grounds and compromises on different pizza toppings, but messing with people's right's is a bit too much to try to find a middle ground on.

This video looks into a bit more if you're interested
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmrtnEzxEzM
He didn't donate to anti-LGBT organizations, but he donated to politicians who shared anti-LGBT views. But when he donated and when these views were shared don't line up in some cases. This video is kinda long but it's the clearest i've seen this situation explained
Just finished watching the video. Really interesting takes for sure. It still really feels like the whole, "I can't be homophobic; I've got gay friends!"

A viewpoint he is entitled to have in the country he lives in. You shouldn't let someone's viewpoints stop you from enjoying things they have created.
I fully agree when it's not giving them monetary support. I'm a huge fan of lovecraft, but he was a nightmare of a person. I just can't justify giving money to a person who supports people fighting against civil rights

But none of these are actual hate groups is the problem I'm kinda having here. From the way everyones framing it I was expecting something like project 2025 or worse but its just him doing donations to mainstream politicians
this is a good point. From what I can tell it's more the fact that those politicians are very anti-lgbtq

Scott is a great guy. You people are just angry he's a Christian.
Us people are upset he's donated to people actively fighting against our civil rights and less about his religious beliefs. I've got quite a few friends from a myriad of religious backgrounds. Theology is fascinating and can genuinely help people in their journey through life. This has nothing to do with that

From what research I did I didn't see Scott donating to anti LGBT organizations. I dont like FNAF and never really wanted it in DBD but I don't think this is the right approach and as a trans woman I would like to see proof someone is actually transphobic before I start pointing fingers. I could be wrong and missed something but I didn't see groups which were specifically anti LGBT or hate groups on the list
oh that's why I posted the wikipedia link lol. Just above the highlighted sections is where his donations were made public via a doxing incident

He is the creator and deserves the money for his creation being used, so he will rightfully get it. And Putting his content in the game is not an endorsement of his viewpoint obviously.
Giving money to someone directly supports their livelihood and further goes to establish their viewpoints

nice. I know I’m of the minority but I always felt nightfall should be much darker (lights out), should inflict oblivious, blindness, and give dredge undetectable with no glow.
I agree with the blindness and undetectable, but visually it's a bit too dark and constricting right now. In my opinion anyways

OH, I forgot to mention in the previous comment. In terms of the sabotaging gens thing. It'd be a slower gen kick that takes twice as long, but it regresses the gen by 20%. It'd be disguised as if you were working on the gen like a normal survivor.

So as an update on The Shadow survivor perk, I think some clarification is probably needed. The shadow was intended to be a high risk high reward sort of play style. While it may be powerful for survivors, the one using the perk would need to be close to the killer at all time. Due to this, I've made these changes!
1) The perk will be continuously active, so there will be no cooldown.
2) It will only activate in a 15 degree cone in front of you. This means it will go through walls, but it also requires you to basically look directly at them.
3) The distance you need to be to reveal the killer should probably be closer to something like 4/6/10 meters. This means that survivors trying to embrace this play style will really have to bite the bullet in terms of keeping an eye on the killer!I really appreciate the feedback on this. Y'all are awesome

This is a pretty cool idea, man
