  • I think pallets, just loops in general like the really long rocks in Temple, where the killer can do absolutely nothing except bloodlust are genuinely awful. A killer should either be able to mindgame it, be forced to break it, or both. The survivor shouldn't be able to endlessly loop, never drop the pallet, and not get punished for it. It doesn't require any skill, it just forces the killer to walk in a circle, disrespect the pallet, hope the survivor messes up, and for what? A measly hit after .

I know there are other but I can't think of them. Regardless... they're horrible. Nobody's having fun, nobody's really winning, and if you're not an anti-loop killer it makes you wanna leave the game and that's not fun. (However if you are an anti loop killer they don't even try to loop they just run in a straight line, dropping pallets, and overall not even attempting to loop. I say all of this when people do this vs bloody Ghostface like... you can not be a less interesting survivor.)

  • The one I've found recently, is that a lot of survivors are just disrespectful. I play so nice, going out of my way not to tunnel, not to camp, just going for chases to farm bp. And what do I get? tbagging, clickies, keys, dcs, and salty end game chats. I am trying my best to accommodate everyone, so that we can all get lots of bloodpoints and plenty of emblems, but no one seems to care.

It's getting really tiring, I just wanna have a long and fun game but they survivors just wanna speedrun and don't care about my feelings.

  • "Oh no, the item I brought was useless!"

Well yeah.... y'all do realize that the killer is supposed to be the dominate force right? Like... survivors shouldn't have anything that straight up counters anything the killer can bring.

Now this changes with things like maps and totems but that's because sometimes it can be unfair and they're good for learning spawns.

  • I can understand why survivors just see this as good fun but imagine it from the killer's point of view. How frustrated must they be? They got hit by head on, are just tryna get the grab, and are constantly getting loud noise notifications.

  • To me it has only ever happened when I played really badly. Like I'm playing Nem, I can't m2 for the life of me, and I've basically given up. I'm in a chase on Haddon once and literally 3 gens popped at the same time and I just stopped mid chase, the survivor looked at me, and I just kinda looked at the ground and walked away. I was done, I came back and continued chasing, cause if I actually gave up I woulda ruined everyone else's time as well, get no hooks, and just overall having a terrible time because I was already defeated mentally.

One of the survivors thought they'd be nice and let me hook them but to me I just felt pitied. I didn't earn it, I didn't win anything, there's no feeling of having overcome adversity. It didn't actually help me in any way, I just want to move on. That's honestly the worst part, is that they think they're being nice and giving you a hook or a kill, and maybe some bp, but in reality they're often just wasting your time. They are trapping you in a terrible mental state because you honestly tried but just couldn't do anything.

Besides, if I wanted a free and easy experience I'd play survivor.

  • There's this constant thing of

    "Do bones!"

"But I don't wanna, I wanna do gens, and besides I need a map to find totems."

When the answer is very simple, if you see a totem just do it. If you get to EGC and NOED activates then someone messed up or things are super hidden, oh well that's the game. Now you can either run the killer in circles, try and find the totem, or just leave.

As a killer you have to assume, until proven otherwise, that your opponent has dead hard, iron will, sprint burst, lithe, deliverance, unbreakable, etc. and you can choose to respect it, or you can call their bluff. Sometimes you get DS'd, and sometimes you get another hook.

Saying that survivors shouldn't have to go out of their way to respect anything the killer might have brought is a bit silly, especially if they're not even bothering to count the killer's perks. Only bothering to cleanse a totem when it's obviously a hex tells me that BHVR should add more hex perks that work with dull totems. Or they could add totems that buff survivors and call them boon totems but that'd be silly, survivors are already overpowered they don't need more, right?

  • This, this is good stuff, I like this.

  • @GeneralV said:

For some reason, events are capable of summoning the worst possible players, and this one has been much worse than others.

My advice? Focus on leveling up your characters and ignore toxic behavior. It will be better that way.

That's what I've been doing, at the cost of ranks it seems. I feel lucky to black pip, hell a pip up would be amazing.

  • I've not played RE2 so I can't comment on it but as a DBD map it's probably the worst they've ever introduced. It's huge, it's intricate, it's almost entirely indoors, every game is just killers unable to find survivors and survivors just unable to find gens.

  • Hi, yeah, I made an account just to comment this.

A lot of you are getting the point in that "killers shouldn't chase into deadzones or for very long!". But what you are failing to see is that in a match you will often have 2-4 survivors who do just that. So now you've broken off one long chase into a deadzone to go chase another survivor who just books it into a deadzone. So what do you do? You break chase to find a different survivor who then books it into a deadzone. What is the killer supposed to do then? They are an anti-looping killer with no mobility... but the survivors refuse to loop. The killers complain because it is unfun, the survivors complain because it is unfun, the killers start tunneling and camping because if survivors want to play in these unfun ways just to win why can't they? Then both sides complain that the other is being toxic, unfun, whining, or some other thing.

"Well they got rid of all the loops!" Yeah, because it was oppressive. Tier lists were based entirely on how good a killer was at beating survivors in loops.

How to fix this? I don't know. The game is fundamentally flawed and I genuinely have no idea asides from fix the maps and that's all I can really say cause I'm not that smart.

I do love browsing these forums though, you guys are hilarious.
