  • Just ran into this issue twice yesterday over the course of maybe 2-3 hours. Hardwired PC with no internet issues that I'm aware of, playing from Colorado, USA.

Ran into it while playing survivor just as I was unhooking my teammate. Progress bar for unhook showed up, but nothing happened and couldn't move until disconnect.

Second time was while playing cannibal, I vaulted a window (don't think I had any vaulting perks) and same thing - froze immediately before the window and couldn't move until disconnect

Why DLC specifically? I see no difference from disabling whatever killer you dont like. Yes it's annoying but it encourages you to play other killers/differently from time to time.

I'd be down for being able to disable all, but DLC specifically as it's a choice to buy the DLC. The game shouldn't punish you for buying DLC

  • I would get pretty upset when I got hit as survivor when I didn't think it would connect, or when the killer would seemingly appear out of nowhere. I actually found a screen recording program that had a replay buffer (I'd hit a button and it would record the last 30 sec of gameplay or whatever). Whenever I got angry at something like that, I'd hit to record right after it happened and watch the clip after the match. A lot of the time, I saw things I missed in-game ("Oh... Yeah I guess that hit made sense", or "Oh crap I didn't see the killer turn right there. That's how they appeared there", etc.). Didn't help when I got tunneled or saw a hit that didn't make sense to me, but definitely helped with a good chunk of times

  • Such an improvement! I appreciate the response to feedback. I agree with everyone else, would love to see horizontal portraits (or at least a reason why vertical was chosen maybe?), adept pictures (easier to see changes like colored slashes for injured, etc. and fits aesthetic more), colorblind-friendly status indicators, and minimizing of killer power/addons. Hook counter does seem a bit unimportant for its size as well.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, when a survivor is on a hook, the struggle progress bar no longer appears in the middle of the screen for them. I wish this would be returned to how it was since it was easy to be looking around while keeping that bar in the corner of your eye (also easier to estimate 50%)

Once again, thanks for working with the community on this one and listening to feedback

  • To preface, I'm a survivor main. I'm against the new HUD. I'm neutral on the animations (think they'll take getting used to) but am very against the movement changes associated with the new animations. All that said, I think the communication is the largest issue in causing frustrations.

    Communication

A lot of people don't feel heard in giving negative feedback from the PTB, etc. Not sure about others, but for me, it feels insulting to hear "You'll get used to it" or be outright ignored as a community when trying to give feedback. The PTB was released more than a month ago now and only this week have I seen anything that indicates that the negative feedback from the new updates is being taken into consideration (other than some of the colorblind feedback for the hud. Props for hearing/implementing some of those!). I LOVE that BHVR is asking for early feedback on Object of Obsession. That said, based on recent events, I'm not hugely optimistic that feedback will affect much

    Movement

People spend hundreds/thousands of hours in this game perfecting the mechanics. Some stuff will have to be re-learned due to new animations (e.g. how best to hide when standing tall when not moving, etc. - small things in my mind) but think the bigger issue is making previous movements that people had practiced (like 360s) completely different. I really don't want to sink a bunch of hours into a game learning fundamental mechanics when those fundamental mechanics might change with no reason given for it (which brings me back to communication)

I dont get motion sickness but I do get strained eyes, like when you have to search for something very small for a long time and you start to feel discomfort in the eyesockets.

Same thing here, and HUD's on 100% size :(

  • My second game or so as a killer I had a red rank survivor loop me until I gave up on them. Then I got harassed in the post-game menu by 2 of the survivors

  • I ran into this one as well but couldn't video at the time so I'm glad it was captured! Believe it was the same map/placement

I'm gonna try to be helpful here, but ultimately you don't have a lot of options.

The main thing is like you said, do totems. You will learn totem placements in time, but even then sometimes gens must be your priority. There is perks to cut down on the time in takes to find totems such as Small Game and my personal favorite Detective's Hunch. You could also use a rainbow map if you have one. Apart from that it's the only tips I can really give you. It's a perk that has needed changing for a while and should probably be reworked all together but don't hold your breath

Awesome. I hadn't tried Tapp yet and Detective's Hunch is fantastic. I think I'll run it for a while until I learn totem possible spawns better.

From all the responses, it sounds like it's somewhat broken at higher ranks but avoidable through knowing typical totem spawns at lower ranks.

  • Just ran into something that seems similar but a different flavor. Tapp's badge this time. Also realized I forgot to attach log in previous post

  • I don't think this is a ping thing. I've had ping of around 60-70 when I've checked and get hit like that all the time (and have made some "Wait, what??" hits as killer as well). Not sure if a hitbox or validation issue or something else

  • I've also seen this in my games as Meg. I'd say it happens for me at least once every 5-10 games or so (large difference in odds, but I'm not counting each game it happens). I haven't changed any user settings outside of the in-game menus (not sure if that answers your question, but that's all the info I have on it)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I asked my friend if he saw the same glitch on my character while in a game with me and he said no - Not sure if he was talking auras or character model though
