Guaranteed two deaths per trial.
Every single group of Survivor/MMR range is sub-50% ER.
The general outcry of Survivor.
You are certainly NOT guaranteed two deaths per trial. I've said this before to people in these forums, hyperbole DOES NOT help when you are trying to have a debate, or discussion about any topic. Making hyperbolic statements such as "Guaranteed two deaths per trial." makes it difficult to believe you. I'm not 100% sure what you're 2nd line of text is supposed to mean, but if you're saying every survivor has less than a 50% escape rate that is objectively untrue. Finally, let's be honest general outcries are FAR from objective. I'm not trying to berate you or anything of the sort. I was just hoping you had some kind of objective metric for which you were making your claim.

We've seemingly entered the same era for Survivor.
So, what's to be done about it, I wonder.
People keep saying this but I have yet to have anyone back it up with evidence. Do you have any numbers, data that actually supports this claim? Genuinely asking. Because if it's solely based on the mult that survivors have right now, that happens with EVERY new killer release. Not to mention the simple fact you need four survivors to one killer. I was playing today and there was only a 1.25x mult as survivor, and my killer queue times were only about 3 minutes.

As much as i agree with your statement i also disagree about the whole fun/winning part.
Listen i lost a lot of friends (irl ones) who got sick of me saying i play games for fun after i come home from work and i cant really grind games like they do since they are students and do online classes and spend most of their time playing video games at home.
I myself have a full time job and i cant afford practicing same move over and over and knowing every map and call out etc.
Same goes for dbd, why should this game be unwelcoming towards adults that have jobs and other tasks irl that prevent them to ever being sharp players.
I made a post about this and i think its best for devs to add AI in pre-lobby that works by checking real time stats of all players, my original post was about preventing SWFs from stacking perks but it would also be good at preventing miss match between matchmaking MMR, aka when que times are slow the match puts you in with higher tier players, so in those times thats when the AI shines and decreases the values of certain perks that players might use to have a 100% winrate againts lower end MMR players.
Because i honestly think the issue why people are not having "fun" is because on other hand you have killers that run certain builds that stack haste and ability and then you have survivors that do the same preventing other side of coins to have "fun".
So as much as PVP stands for what you say, as long as there is no ranked mode in the game official ranked mode, there is a singular mode and i know why devs went with it instead splitting modes, they are not crazy they keep their players in one singular mode to not lose players, if ranked is added it would split the playerbase in half and so cause the game to die out because people like rewards, progression, tiers, ranks, emblems.
I understand what you're saying. I'm a variety gamer, and I'm not great at DBD either. But I don't boot up Call of Duty and expect to do as well as the people that strictly play Call of Duty. Devs can't balance a game around some people being able to play 8 hours a day and having incredible game sense in comparison to the average Joe that gets 2 hrs to play on a good day. That's not feasible. I just accept the fact that I'll never be at the skill ceiling and sometimes I'm going to get rolled. But that goes both ways. Even with my mid at best skill I still go against some killers and loop them like I'm JRM. It's not other people's responsibility to make sure I have fun every game. Nor is it mine to make sure someone else is having fun. There are alot of matches that end in my team getting 4kd that I still had alot of fun.

Steam player numbers, Thursday had 115k, last night at the same exact time I checked of 7PM EST, there was only 70k on, that is a 30% loss. Which is peak time for central and eastern NA.
And that's where you're wrong, because the majority does not want to try their ass off to just play the game. They want to have fun and not act like their literal life is on the line sweating every single match. DBD is not a competitive game, there is no place for people trying that hard in publics. Actively making the game unenjoyable for 4 people; which is exactly what survivor players deal with every single time they load into a game, is what killers have been doing with their "legit" tactics. If BHVR took even a second to realize the majority of the community is not the top 1% sweatlords, and just want to have fun, then we wouldn't even be having this conversion to begin with.DBD is a PVP game. PVP games are inherently competitive. Everyone is playing to have fun, you're right. Winning is fun. People play to win to have fun. See how that works? Just because YOU don't want it to be a competitive game does not mean that it is not.
It's funny how this graph tells a different story than what you're saying.
And if you look at this one, you can see the spike in players when FNAF released, and….. would you look at that, there is more players in the low than in the highs before FNAF came out . They've literally GAINED players and you're trying to say they lost 30%.
-
Well, that's where you're wrong. As I said in this thread I am enjoying it. I don't expect to win every game, and I understand that when I get camped or slugged my team will just have to escape without me. Queue up again for the next match. The difficulty of survivor is where the fun is. Trying to outplay a killer who is tunneling or slugging is very difficult, but man, nothing in this game beats the feeling where you are able to make a killer regret tunneling/camping.
Where are you getting these numbers from? You keep referencing "the numbers" in this thread claiming BHVR lost 30%of it's player base. Based on previous posts you've made, I'm inclined to believe that you are just making these numbers up in an attempt to make a point.
Simply the queue times? That happens every killer release because people want to try the new killer.

If you don’t understand these posts then maybe you shouldn’t comment on them? But you’re so right, nobody can have an opposing opinion on anything in the game and if they do—they shouldn’t play the game. The devs have had YEARS to rework this event, but that’s ok. They can’t even balance out the normal game—for the most part.
Maybe putting more thought into events that celebrate their loyal players (whom also try and recruit new players) and longevity of the game isn’t the best idea. Thank you so much for showing me the light and freeing me from all of my dumb opinions on this game/event. You’re so smart.I didn't say don't play the game. I said don't play the event. Two completely different things. I didn't say people can't have a different opinion either. In fact you're the one acting like I'm some villian for enjoying the event and quite literally telling me not to comment. You should really check your passive agressive, sarcastic attitude at the door.

I'm pessimistic because I like the game and want it to be good. The problem is that BHVR and players like you think the game is fine just because Killers are having fun. You can deny and claim I'm ignorant, you can ignore the problems the game has - but that's the number one killer of every game. Ignoring the problems doesn't make them go away and the only way to get it through the thick skulls of bad developers is to be pessimistic.
I disagree entirely. The number one killer of games is devs listening to the vocal minority that hate the state of the game and they end up ruining the game for the people who actually enjoy the game. With record breaking numbers it's difficult to believe the majority of players hate playing the game. It's simply people's hyperbole mixed with new players coming in and deciding they don't the game. Retail World of Warcraft is an excellent example of this. Is there problems that the game needs to fix the game? Yes, of course 100%. But complaining and saying the game will never be good again is not only not helpful, it's actually detrimental to the game. You act like fixing the game is a simple fix but the fact is it is an enormously complex problem. The power discrepancy between killers like Nurse and blight compared to Trapper and Hag is so big that any blanket nerfs to killers in general would decimate the low tier killers while barely hindering the higher tiers. I never said the game is perfect, or "just fine because killers are having fun". I'm not telling you to ignore the problems, I'm telling you to quit acting like it can't possibly get better, or move on to a new game.

There is a 0% chance any future events will be better. BHVR has made it clear they don't care about Survivors, and that's shown in literally every event. All future events are going to do is the same crap happening now - Survivors get useless crap to work with while Killers get their hands held.
If you're going to be this ignorantly pessimistic just go play a different game. If I disliked a game as much as you seem to dislike this one I wouldn't still be playing it…
-
I don't understand these posts. Just don't play the event. It's that simple. I have went from 70/30 killer main to 95%survivor main simply due to the crazy amount of BP I can farm. Between the instant Qs, the 1.5x mult, and all the offerings I'm getting 200k BP on a bad game, and games are only lasting about 10 minutes on avg as survivor. I don't feel like having the devs take time and focus to balance a 20 day event over new content, or base game balance is a good way of keeping the game going. If the event balance bothers people, they can just play norms.

Because, my friend, the Knight is not meant to work in close proximity with his guards.
And if he is supposed to work separately from the guards, they need to be a threat, otherwise the killer has no power.

Tbf, Knight is in no way op
What is the counter play to the fast one? The one with the brand I think it is? Is it just vaulting? I understand if you grab the flag they go away, but I can never seem to make it anywhere without that one catching me.
I'm not saying they are OP, it just seems inconsistent to me that they are the only thing in the game immune to pallet stuns (outside of suped up Singularity), and I'm trying to figure out the counterplay.

The guards are ghosts, and through other machanics like windows they simply phase through them. Stunning them lore wise and machanic wise is impossible, but it dies slow them for phasing through something
I mean… Stunning most killers with pallets makes no sense lore wise. We literally have three (if not more) Ghost killers, Nurse, Onryo, and Spirit. I also don't see how it would be impossible mechanically. Just make it so that the stun… stuns them. You don't need to be able to kill them like nemo zombies, but the stun should apply. That's just my opinion.

80% of games there is at least one person DCing. I can sit there getting a 8 hooks and letting them all leave and someone will leave the game, I can be playing survivor and someone will leave as soon as they are on the ground for longer than 15 seconds, or left on hook for longer than 10 seconds. The vast majority of games have at least one person leaving before abandon is even given as an option.
Do you just blatantly lie in every one of your posts?

The average hours of people in my games has been over 1k, not to mention the stats on BHVRs end are known to be wrong, they have admitted themselves they aren't portraying the correct time played. And no, I will not play those killers, because I don't find them enjoyable, that's the entire point of the game is to have fun.
"The average hours of people in my games has been over 1k"
Another bold faced lie lol. You have a habit of asking each survivor after a match how long they've played the game? No? Just making something up again trying to prove a point. Just stop lying. I'll give you that on the play time, so tell me, how many hours do you have playing killer?
The reason those killers aren't enjoyable is because of how incredibly weak they are. M1 killers are notoriously weak, and the power discrepancy between high tier killers and low tier killers is at an all time high. But killer is so easy, it plays itself right? Surely you could just do it to prove yourself right…

Legion I was farming the event with, as blatantly shown by the amount of hooks and BP earned.

And here are my most recent games along with my kill rate. The bill from the 4th game killed himself on hook almost immediately, every escape was because I gave them hatch.
"100% of my games are hard stops at 5 gens no matter the killer, I consistently get 10-12 hooks a game with all people alive until the end."
I have no way of 100% proving or disproving the 5 gen claim… but, based on the amount of blood points the survivors gained in your matches I don't believe that to be true. You don't earn 40k BP without finishing a gen. Also, your avg hooks is 7.8…
I find it convenient how you showcase your Legion and Animatronic hooks, but leave out Spirit and Ghouls. Your most played and most recently played. You also are only showing a whopping 22.9 hrs played as killer. Indicating that you are going to be matched with mostly very inexperienced survivors playing a Meta Ghoul build. If you think that's an accurate representation of all killers you're simply being ignorant. Play a few games as Trapper, Pig, Or Michael Myers and let me see how well you do with them.
My point is that your hyperbole actively works against you. You make these claims acting like you have 10k hrs. played and know everything about the game, when you're actually quite inexperienced. I'm not going to claim I'm an expert either, I'm mid at best, but you talking out of your ass trying to make a point actively discredits anything valid you do have to contribute to the conversation.

The killer role does play itself. Yet again, I have almost exclusively been playing the role for nearly 2 weeks now (played 50/50 before then) and have only "lost" games when I have purposefully let them escape. 100% of my games are hard stops at 5 gens no matter the killer, I consistently get 10-12 hooks a game with all people alive until the end. I have never once tunneled or slugged and still have a near 90% kill rate on every killer I play. The "role" is a joke, it does entirely play itself, which is exactly why survivors have such an awful time. Why the escape rates are getting lower and lower. You have to actually try to play Survivor in this game meanwhile killers can just do whatever the hell they want the entire game. Survivors have to deal with 3 completely random variables when the killer doesn't, Survivors have to know how to loop correctly, know every single power of every killer, know every add-on of every killer, know every killer perk, know where generator spawns are so they don't 3gen themselves (if they make it to that point, which they most likely wont), when safe unhook times are, on top of having to trust in their RANDOM teammates to be able to do the exact same thing. This is and will always be an "us vs them" because one side is coddled and babied when the other side has to play nearly perfectly every single time or they will be miserable.
Just rename the entire survivor role to punching bag at this point, not like its anything different. Not going to lie, I simply do not believe your claims here. Let's see your stats. Pics or it didn't happen.

if you dont find any of these things “healthy” you are not playing the correct game. Dbd is a horror themed party game not the up and coming competitive masterclass with millions of dollars in it. It never will be. You constantly throw around the word “macro” which means practically nothing in a game that is so one dimensional, what macro other than killer powers even exist? Because it doesn’t, patrolling gens isn’t macro, tunneling isn’t macro, slugging isn’t macro. Using terms from much more complex games to confuse isn’t a good strategy to get people on your side about gaslighting devs? Apparently? And yes I do directly call out how you blatantly talk about “playing against better players” because its a rare occurrence. Not something that is happening every game, which is exactly what your incredibly confusing comments portray.
Posts like this, where you pretend like there can't possibly be any strategic play to being killer, discredits anything you say. You act like the killer role plays itself. I don't like tunneling or camping either, but I'm not delusional and saying there is no scenario where it makes strategic sense to do it. I play both roles btw. I don't understand why people have this us vs them mentality in this game. "I play the skilled role, and the other role is unskilled easy wins". It's okay that you don't view this as a competitive game, that doesn't mean others can't.
