This is absolutely holding the game hostage. Nothing was stopping the survivors from completing the objective and leaving. This would be the same as a killer getting stuck on a glitched part of the map and the survivors just blinding him over and over again for 40 minutes. This was griefing and holding the game hostage. They didn’t try to do an objective at all. (I gave up watching at 20 min cause I got frustrated) If you wanna bully a kiler, do it and leave. Keeping someone trapped in a game because they don’t have the skill to down you is cruel. We need more killers in the game to shorten queues. And buttfaces like this make them quit and never come back. Hurts the killer, hurts the community at large, and only inflates the survivors ego (despite the fact that they have to derank to do this. Lol)

well if you actually were a good killer you'd knock other survivors after leaving and run into the same survivor while not being next to the infinite which isn't even infinite btw stupidest isn't a word 😂 just shows the intelligence of most killer mains
You insult people, but then get salty when they insult you and you demand they use “dbd logic”. Quit trolling. You and everyone else knows know that the game is typically survivor sided if all players are of equal skill and higher skill. (There are exceptions to certain maps, add-ons, etc. But more often than not, the advantage is on the survivors.) Also, you know that people call them infinites, even though nothing is truly infinite anymore. It’s just a term, you knew exactly what that person meant. You are baiting arguments, demanding people be nice to you while being condescending to them. Don’t be that guy.

Yeah, sacrificed hooks are weird. The game will prioritize the departing survivor, and even though the hitbox lingers at the hook it will snap your camera straight up. If there is someone under hook, you can look straight at them, but you swill swing for the stars. “Working as intended” lol

I am perfectly fine with gen speed atm. Chill time in the fog city. :D
I mean, that’s cool. Any more information to add? Console, Pc? Survivor main, killer main? What rank do you play at? Big Weiner Energy doesn’t provide much data. Lol Like just messing with you, but there are lots of people who have issues with gen speed right now. i’m a Rank 5 killer on ps4, I played 5 games with at least two rank one survivors but all red ranks. Four of them were groups. Gens went by way too fast. I play Rank 1 survivor and and gens seem to be an ok speed if I am playing against at least a purple rank killer with a solo queue group. If I load in with a SWF the killer gets destroyed. Its hard to balance when the squads have such a vast difference in what they bring to the table. If I am in a good group I love the gen speeds. I dont feel panicked. Chill matches. Lol But with lower skilled teammates I feel like I am internally screaming for ten minutes.
-
Gens pop too fast as killer against good survivors. SWF teams are too strong. When I play killer and have two gens left with only two or three hooks, it is gonna be a loss. You can tell when you play against teams of solo players. Less body blocking, less communication and stacking on gens. They sometimes three gen themselves. These gen speeds are fine against survivors who make mistakes. But against coordinated teams, they are done hilariously fast. But extending the time is a bad fix, because when I solo queue survivor, half the time my teammates are urbaning around the map any time they hear a heartbeat. So 120second gens would be a solo queue death sentence. Not an easy thing to balance. Its like making rules for a football game that includes middleschool teams and college teams. Lol

As a survivor main, this sounds like a solid thing to add to the game. Fits the lore, and isn’t so punishing that I feel like I am “being nerfed”. I would like to see more variety in the killers I play against. I think this would make a lot of killers more comfortable (I dunno if that is the right word) not picking only S-tier killers. It would be cool to test it out and make sure it feels fun, but it sounds like a step in the right direction and encourages interaction. I wholeheartedly agree that increasing gen times would work but be super boring. This would be a solid band-aid until the devs can run more maps thru their rework machine.

I have to venture a guess that the people who don’t have trouble hitting survivors when they 360 are either on pc or not playing red rank survivors on console. I have done every “trick” that has been offered. “Just basic attack, don’t lunge” “wait to swing” “back up a bit and wait to swing” “look down a bit before you swing” None of them work since dedicated servers. Survivors actually disappear, sensitivity is too slow to track, and if there is anything other than a survivor nearby, I will hit that. I hit the stairs earlier while looking down them. The stairs. The. Stairs.

I think it’s also possible to confuse “yes men” with the super common “internet contrarian”. “Yes Men” would only agree with Dev changes/choices. But this forum (and every other) has its share of contrarians who live and breathe just to argue. People: “Hawkins has unsafe pallets” Contrarian: “um ackshually, I loop all the time, even against bloodlust 3.” And on and on.

I played 11 games last night as a rank 10. All of them were against red ranks. I guess the pool of players is even smaller on ps4 or something. Because watching streamers you see red rank potatoes. I get none of those. I am playing against Survivor Team Six. I had a game last night with all gens done in 4:30. Quad escape. I want to play killer but unless I derank down to 15, I am still gonna get nothing but red rank SWF’s. My one game where I up-pipped last night was against an uncoordinated team of solos. At least on PC it seems there are still solo queue games and more potato-y survivors. On PS4, it feels like everyone is playing like their life depends on it. “I’m on t-walls. Get the gen done, I’m bringing him to you take chase. RED TEAM GO!! Now we sit at the exit to make sure he sees us bag. Mission success team. Well done!” Zero fun to play killer against survivors auditioning for the imaginary DBD pro-league.

I love the “just be observant” response. Yeah you can hear his cloak flapping in silence. Gen half done and burning barrel with walls around you? Good luck. Lol No amount of turning your camera is gonna take away his ability to get a free hit. My only problem with him is his busted reveal mechanic. But acting like you can counter his stealth by “being observant” is hilarious.

One thing I have noticed that has evolved is the sound design of maps. Hawkins has ominous background music and the “pulse” from the room into the upside down. This is something that has obviously carried over into Lery’s. Water drops, etc. It makes the maps more fun and gives them a more immersive feel, like you are in a place and not a map wearing a “new skin”. Has that become a stronger focus for you guys?
-
Taunting the killer: bagging/spinning/emoting after pallet drops. Waiting at the gates to bag and not giving the killer a hit for points. Messaging ######### like “ggez” “baby killer” all that trash. Those are all just dick moves. Any mechanics in game are fine. Its just bad manners stuff that is “toxic”. But some killers will tunnel me and my boyfried just for being Nea. People are weird.

So they do okay avoiding that first attack, but they walked from gen to gen... if a gen takes 80 seconds and you run to it from another gen you’re looking at 90 seconds including travel time. If you walk it can be more like 100. That’s significant time.

I use kindred, you probably think it’s a beginner perk. No amount of experience will tell you In a solo queue if you’re the closest to rescue someone from hook, or if another teammate is already in their way.
Bond has a huge range too, if I’m on the game map and I have an idea of where the two closest gens are, no amount of experience is going to tell me which one another teammate is working on already.
Limping bond into the same category as windows of opportunity is a terrible comparison.
Im guessing you think Whispers is a beginning perk for killers too?
I would argue the headstart will benefit you more than the walking hinders you. Its what I see when I go against sprint burst gamers. That boost (especially if bait a swing from an idiot like me) it had more than ten seconds of value. The benefit is MASSIVE if you are working on an unsafe gen. It gives you a head start and the benefit of getting to a safe loop/tile. It denies an easy first hit.

Every time? So when you get to a gen and just start working on it and the killer gets to you, sorry sprint burst isn’t helping you there it’s on cool down.
Unless you walk everywhere to save sprint burst, which UGH
I mean, pretty much? Forty seconds isn’t that long. If someone uses their sprint burst while not knowing where the killer is or if the killer is busy with someone else, that’s their fault. It’s not sprint burst’s. You have to play around your perk, your perk doesn’t play around you, right? And people who walk around the map aren’t that inefficient. When I play killer against a sprint burst squad, they do just fine walking until I get up to them, using sprint burst like dead hard and zooooooom.

Devotion 1 Level 59. Been playing since the Halloween this year.

I played with Spinechill for a while. But I realized that some perks work more consistently for me and I was using spinechill as a crutch. I wasn’t using my ears or camera enough. Will it save you from giving a stealth killer a free hit? Sure, occasionally. But even if its a stealth killer its only a one in four chance they are coming for you. Spine chill gives crazy misinformation on maps with two levels. And there are perks that work more consistently. Better is a matter of opinion, but Spine Chill has won me less chases than adrenaline. No contest. I agree with a previous poster that if you want a head start, Sprinto Bursto. Boom. Head start and consistent every time.

Survivor: 80% Rank 3 peak last reset.
Killer: 20% Rank 8 peak.
I am new, and have only been playing since the week of Halloween when some buddies of mine invited me to play. Since then I have been obsessed a bit. I got my first devotion already. Lol But I like survivor just because there feels like a bigger margin of error. I can loot or fail a skill check and not “lose”. Killer feels like one bad chase and I “lose”. Three gens gone and I’m being bagged at the exit gate. Killers motivate me to play them because of shorter queues and faster bloodpoints. I feel like I am still kinda scrubby as survivor, my rank climbed faster than my skill set developed. So I am trying to spend more time on the survivor side to get better, and more confident. I gotta loop better. Killer, I don’t feel as “in control of a match” so like I dunno how to improve. I dunno how to counter loops better, its not as intuitive to me. I just try and fail without understanding how I could have done better. As a survivor I typical know where I effed up. Does that make sense? Anyway...
Sorry for the novel. <3

I think people are so used to it, that the problems that bug some of us don’t bug them anymore. I have decent internet and have issues with hitboxes, errors loading, games freezing at the end of a match whether being killed or escaping. Like I dunno why people pretend like there aren’t ps4 problems. Everyone I play with complains about hits after vaulting, NAT errors, etc. etc.
