We all know Sony is the main obstacle so why not just do cross play with Xbox/PC/Mobile/Switch but exclude Playstation?
Other games have done so. Any bad PR will all be on Sony's door not Behaviour's.
As a PS4 player, I fully agre with this approach. Sony needs to be pressured more on this, and I sincerely hope that they change their policies by the time the PS5 comes out.

That's what I meant. I was speaking specifically about DBD when I mentioned no crossover saves on any platform 😉
I thought as much, just wanted it to be clear 😊

No platform has crossover saves.
Your best bet is to get a new ps4 if you want to play as fair has little to do with it when it comes to business.
Not entirely true for all games, but for DbD it certainly is.
Another issue with allowing transfers in a game with microtransactions is what we are seeing with Sony's reluctance to allow cross-play/progression with other platforms in their games. Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/Apple etc. take a cut for everything purchased on their platform. None of the platform holders are particularly interested in customers buying cosmetics on one platform, and being able to use them on theirs. MS and Nintendo are pushing for this, because at the end of the day, there is a bigger chance of more purchases being made on their platforms from people spilling over from the PlayStation playerbase, whereas Sony risk losing a significant amount of money allowing this.

They won't be allowing the transfer of progress. The mobile game is built as a free to play microtransaction based game. You get 2 killers and 2 survivors, and you'll have to spend money to unlock the rest, unless you want to grind for months on end. Transfering progress and/or characters from the base game would take away their opportunity to milk players for cash. Also, transferring unlocked perks and addons won't work, due to the way you individually level and learn perks per character.
As it currently stands, it'll cost 10200 Auric cells (300 are given for free) to access all characters, not including any cosmetics. I'll let you all do the maths in your local currency of how much that'll cost you. This is also just for 12 out of the 16 killers, and 14 out of 17 survivors. The full roster, once added, would be equal to a grand total of 13700 Auric Cells. Again, you do the math.
In summary, the mobile game is just another mobile free to play game designed to milk players of money through microtransactions.

I've tried both the Steelseries Nimbus and Rotor Riot controllers, and all the buttons work like they do on console, except for the right stick, which makes using a controller quite useless at the moment. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Also @preetygoodforumsofar, if you are using iOS, the new iOS13 coming out this fall will allow you to pair the PS4 and Xbox controllers to your phone, in case you don't want to invest in 3rd party MFI controllers.

I litterally had a game go on for twenty minutes after third survivor was killed, and only one gen and all totems were done. No crows. I looked everywhere, listened for the caws, patrolled the gens that remained untouched, there was no sign of the last survivor. After twenty minutes, one of the spectating survivors started messaging me, telling me that the last player had been hiding in the same locker the whole time, and bragging to the survivor group in chat that he'd get me to rage quit and get a loss. In the end he told me which locker to look in, and I secured the final kill.
I don't know if AFK crows are bugged on PS4, but I have had several situations like this, and I can only remember a single time where I spotted some crows circling in the distance, helping me find the last survivor.
Long story short, I'd like to see the crows working properly, before seeing a nerf.

If you purchase the DLCs through the Playstation store they become available for everyone on the console. Not exactly, it depends on the DLC. If the DLC is an actual download, it will usually work for other users, but if it's currency or DLC that simply needs to be unlocked, it will be tied to the account. Auric Cells fall under the latter.

The way I see it, if a survivor is last man standing without the doors being powered, they have failed as a team. Maybe instead of rewarding points for escaping through the hatch, a penalty to bloodpoints would make more sense. This way the survivor wouldn't leave without getting some points, but would still be awarded considerably less than completing their primary objective. Maybe this would encourage the survivor to try for the gates. Also, if the survivor lost the item they were carrying to the entity when using the hatch, it would make sense for them to give the gates a try as well.
In the end I would welcome anything that encourages survivors to keep going for the gates over the hatch, but still leaving the hatch as a last resort.

I haven't gotten below a 3K with Legion since I got them. I find it really easy to down survivors, and I like the utility of their power.
The way I play: Find a survivor, frenzy and stab them. Take a quick look around, if there's another survivor nearby (as in an achievable distance), I got for them, stab and repeat. When there are no more survivors nearby, I continue chasing the last survivor I hit in frenzy. I do NOT hit them a second time, as it gives the survivor a speed boost along with my stun. Instead I use my speed to catch up right behind them, and then I leave frenzy, taking the stun while keeping my eye on them. The stun doesn't last long and doesn't disorient too much, so I catch up fairly quickly with my 110% move speed. One regular attack, and they're down.
During this chase (which doesn't actually last too long), the other players have been mending, and not been working on gens. Sure the mending may not have taken too long to finish, but it helps. In the end, I rarely "lose" a chase, unless I decide to change targets along the way, or i I occasionally mess up. I can use my frenzy to end looping, as I simply jump over thrown pallets, take the stun and resume the chase, and I am rarely forced to break pallets, as survivors usually panic when you come flying over those things, and leave the loop.
Another bonus of the Legion, is that survivors rarely bother to heal, as they always expect you to hit them in frenzy. That just further shortens my chases, as I don't hit injured survivors in frenzy, unless I suspect others are nearby, but simply use it to shorten my distance to them. Again, the stun really isn't that bad, and the fact that you can often maintain line of sight, makes catching fairly simple.
Long story short, I use frenzy as a tool and not a weapon, and I have had great success with this. I constantly assess whether I should use frenzy against a survivor based on their health state, their distance from me and whether there might be others around.

Wow, I created this thread because I was surprised to see Sony encouraging a strategy that breeds toxicity (not patrolling a hook, litterally camping it). I'm aware that the strategy is "legit" and the devs condone it, but it doesn't make it any less unsportsmanlike, and survivors witnessing this behavior time and time again are sure to employ equally toxic strategies in an attempt to counter this. Furthermore it's a boring strategy for both the killer and the hooked survivor. New players reading the blog post will end up thinking that this is how the game should always be played, and will end up walking away from the borefest that is staring at a hook with a struggling survivor.
Once again, I'm a killer main, and I pretty much never play survivor. I'm not above admitting that I've used the strategy from time to time, but I much prefer running perks that reward moving away from the hook, as it's a lot more fun, and in my experience a much more effective way of winning games. I don't buy into the "it's not my job to ensure my opponent has fun" attitude many people in this thread seem to share. The way I see it, it's in all of our best interest to ensure that some fun is had on both sides, otherwise we'll end up with a toxic mess of the game, that will be so far from enjoyable, it'll die out.

Camping is a legitimate and officially endorsed strategy. If they can't handle losing, they probably shouldn't be playing PvP games anyway.
It's a terrible strategy, that more often than not leads to a loss for the killer, and plain boredom for the hooked survivor. Not exactly something that would encourage players to stick around.
Camping is sometimes warranted if you know for a fact someone else is there, people shouldn’t follow the killer to the hook trolling or continuing a failed flashlight save unless you are pretty certain they can wiggle free and body block. Those are ALWAYS the ones who message me after the match calling me a [BAD WORD] camper , telling me to go jump into oncoming traffic etc... I just know when I play killer if I see little Claudette and meg running circles around me while I’m hooking another survivor I’m pitching a tent, roasting marshmallows, and singing campfire songs.
The way I see it, this isn't camping, but rather remaining in the area, while you search for the survivors you know are nearby. The way the blog post is written, it encourages camping all hooked survivors, whether teammates are around or not, which isn't exactly sportsmanlike behaviour.
