I do not believe so, killers get accused of hacking a lot when listening to sounds you should be fine, and if you do get banned you should be able to appeal it.
tysm, i'm just really worried about it so thank you

Nah everything will be fine. Killers will keep playing. They will just do what they are forced to do. It will be the survivors that quit. There are enough tools and basekit changes now to counter everything "fair" the killer can do to get pressure on survivors. Split hooks, split damage, pressure gens/multiple survivors... the only efficient way to play killer now will be hard tunneling.
The only pressure you can get is forcing an early 3v1. And since it does not make any difference if you hit the unhooker twice or the unhooked with his 80 sec Endurance, basically being an insta unhook health state, it is just logical to go for the guy that is closer to death hook, when both chases will take equally long.
And that's how it's gonna be. Deadlock, Pain Res, Corrupt and NOED, just to get as much time as possible, and then hook survivor A,A,A, then B,B,B and so on. I always smiled at people yelling that DBD is gonna die. Such a game doesn't die so fast, thesy really need to F* up. But that's how it feels to me now for the first time. Like they intentionally F* up, like they want to kill the game. They always had strange decision making and explaining the opposite intention of what their changes actually do. But this patch now is beyond my understanding...
Absolutely not. Read through some of the other forums: hundreds of killers, including myself, are planning to uninstall this shitshow fiasco if it ever goes live. Any Killer main with enough braincells to catch an urban evading meg can see that this is ridiculous and should not happen. Majority are leaving, again, including myself.

Honestly I'll take camping and tunneling over slugging any day. At least it's semi engaging and goes by quicker.
I agree, but making unbreakable basekit is not the way to go through with this
-
The devs wanted the 60/40 kill rate anyway and now they're pulling crap like this LOL. I agree, ALL of the ideas proposed are god AWFUL and need to never show their ugly faces again.
Who wants to come play F13 or Outlast: Trials with me LMFAOOOO

Also before someone tries to bring up that this is in response to the new mechanic where everyone being slugged will auto-end the game no matter what:
One badly designed auto-kill mechanic does not justify another badly designed basekit self-pickup mechanic. Remove both.

I've got more playtime in killer alone than you probably do overall. Try again.
So many players on these forums with very little game experience talking like they know what they are talking about...
You got 4 and a half thousand hours on killer and have been playing since early release? man i'd love to see some proof to back that up.
"two hooks within hooking distance"
too many times I've played as nurse or huntress and had no hooks close enough to reach. I'm not running Agi + iron grasp every match cause I need other perks instead. Don't try and show up strangers on the internet, you just make yourself look like a clown. The fact of the matter is this: all players have different experiences, most share experiences. the most shared experience is that there are multiple hook deadzones that survivors constantly exploit, especially if someone's dead and there was only one hook in that corner or if you're on midwich and a hook spawns downstairs in the hallway but not upstairs. "I've got more playtime in killer alone than you do overall" you're not all mighty and powerful, kid, lets calm down x3

Sabo plays and hook deadzones? What..? There are almost always at least 2 hooks in hooking distance. Boil over? Lol.
A couple areas will need to be looked at/altered, but all the doom and gloom is really unwarranted.
uh oh, someone's never played killer before

Something similar happened to me but it wasn't a bush or branches, it was an invisible pillar chillin' in the middle of the map. I bumped off it as blight and screamed

Man, I love coming to the forums after an update announcement and seeing in how many ways the '"sky is falling" this time.
I'm neutral on the whole thing, mostly because I've given up caring. Changes are made so much that it's pointless relying on any aspect of the game being the same as it was a few months ago, so I just roll with the punches and adapt as I can. I will say that it does seem that behavior has buffed, nerfed, and band-aided themselves into a corner, trying to satisfy two sides who will never be satisfied as long as they perceive the other side as having too much of an advantage.
if you don't care: you don't get to talk about it. Simple. As. That. ๐

literally moaning over how well you worded this. Props to you.

Pretty sure the reason for base kit unbreakable is because they wanted to change the moris rather than address slugging.
Don't get me wrong, slugging solution is good but the whole mori thing is just complete nonsense.
even if the slugging solution was good (which... it's way to short to be a solution), it would still be hell for killers trying to get a flock of sabo squad swf's to get away from the dude on the ground.
-
They don't need BP. They need to be left the hell alone.
This endgame stuff is all really really bad, dare I say, toxic. I'd rather just get mori'd than purposefully left alone against a killer who has it out for me, brought a hatch spawn offering, with noed/rancor and whispers. Thanks

whats stopping you from chasing the survivor whos threatning the pallet save?
Do you not realize how long 45 seconds really is?
45 seconds is half a generator and 1 full self-care. But, 45 seconds is also absolutely nothing if the team around you is swarming the one survivor down in an attempt to pick him up? Mettle of Man is going to be godlike in this update as a perfect distraction perk. Honestly, if you think 45 seconds isn't detrimental, you have never been in a situation where 45 seconds can make or break your game.
It should be 90 seconds or they should leave it alone.

Yeah, which is why the basekit moris and last man standing parts of the patch are there too. It leads to good back and fourth and actual risk/stakes for both sides. We all get downed in 45 seconds? You earn that win. You leave a survivor on the floor nearly a minute they get up and reset your kill progress a bit
you got definitions wrong. it's not a basekit mori, it's not a mori at all: it's a weak attempt to make killer mains feel better after slowly gnawing away the crown that used to be the Ebony Mori.
-
Finally a good post.
Nothing you've said in here is wrong. They absolutely should not go through with any of these changes: they're all bad.

maybe if you killers didn't constantly slug this wouldnt need to happen. you reap what you sow.
what does it matter if killers constantly slug? 45 seconds is absolutely NOT enough time to do anything. Someone did the math: if a swf is running unbreakable and boon: ex, they can get someone with flip flop able to use power struggle in less than eight seconds. Literally what? "You reap what you sow." ?? There are killers literally MADE to slug and camp. Put up with it. Killers had to put up with several devastating more and hook changes, you can put up with a little slugging.
