I have literally never seen anyone crouch mid chase except for to hide behind a pallet in preparation to drop it on a killer, never seen someone crouch mid chase after vaulting a pallet or window. And to clarify mid chase, I mean them being right on you and one wrong move can lead to a lunge-hit, when you have the full blast blaring music.

I will yield to the tier 3 miscommunication on my end. I misunderstood there.

Nemesis is the only person who has a method of hitting you without ever being near you. Sure pinhead has those chains and they can be a serious nuisance, but they cannot damage you. Sure, like the tentacle strike, first zombie hit will infect you. Sure you might have idiots that walk into walls and rocks, but I've literally had one drop from the second floor of the main building in Glenvale, drop right on top of me, and force me out of hiding right in front of the killer. They literally impart the exact same affect as the killer does onto the player. What's worse is that yea, you can go take a vaccine for it, but the vaccine comes with 2 problems. A: your aura is revealed to the killer. Not too big a deal in and of itself, plenty of other things reveal your aura for a duration, but the biggest problem is B: there's only 4 in the entire game. Meaning either you ignore the vaccine from the start and for the whole game, dealing with the infection if you get got, or you risk having to deal with it forever once all 4 have been used. Plague has a similar feature with her vomit shots, but you have like, 8 or more shrines to cleanse yourself, and the shrines eventually return to it's original state afterwards, allowing them to be reused should the game drag on long enough.

Now please, don't get me wrong. While I extremely believe that Nemesis needs a nerf, he is indeed in no way a BROKEN killer. Here's a damn good example of a nerf, or I guess a tweak, that he needs and it pertains to his hitbox.

I had a game in the "The Game" map, mid chase I hid behind a pallet in preparation to drop the pallet on him, he charged his tentacle strike, released it, and AFTER the strike had already pointlessly hit the floor but before the entire animation was done, he side stepped and the game registered that he hit me through a solid game object. I'm talking straight through the still standing pallet, as in even a huntress hatchet throw would register that it hit a solid object and thus never reach the player.

Crouching mid chase after a vault is literally the counter to the tentacle. Good survivors do it to me all the time. Why not play the killer you’re crying about? He’s not that great. In fact high tier survivors usually give me compliments for playing him because they’re tired of the same 3 mega killers

  • I’m having the same issue, prominently Macmillan and Autohaven back to back.

I actually made a thread about this a few days ago but it didn’t get too much attention since it’s not complaining about noed or coh

  • One too many matches where at your first hook there’s only 2 gens left. Killer just isn’t possible the way survivors are playing now, so killers make it possible by playing scummy.

    usually goes:

    hit survivor

survivor uses speed burst to get to shack or strong loop

    thunderbolt op boon

all pressure gone in about 10 seconds

    gen pop

  • take the sound and leave a rocket launcher and I’m on board

If you find a cheater ignore them. But in return dont burn the rest of their team . Just play around and give chase. Its not their fault they got paired with a loser. Maybe hook one, kill time, explore the map. Let it go. Dont ruin regular players game because of some loser cheater.

I really wish we’d be able to see who is in a party together in lobby. Not even just to know whether people are in cahoots with the cheater. I just want to know if I’m having a chill game or not

  • Had two Fengs continually run up to that library one match. The entire time I was ignoring them to kill the other two they were spamming a window near the library to try to get me to go up there like I didn’t know what they were doing. Ended up having to slug them both up there, one had no mither so it was 4 minutes of me having to hit a feng to death. Engaging gameplay.

  • It’s just boring playing against the same four survivors every match.

oh boy thunder so now coh is in play… wait that was my ruin… ugh

oh wow I actually outplayed them… oh they hit e and are now at a new loop

would sure suck if this person running to the double L’s has iron will… wait what am I saying of course they do

hey I finally got a down, and I’m near a scourge hook time to get some momen—oh they dc’d *gen pops*

  • I don’t use corrupt because I find it incredibly boring and half the time it ends up shooting me instead by forcing survivors to split up.

I use borrowed time because it lets me have a crutch to make a bad decision. Yes, I ripped my friend off the hook in front of the killer’s face. Yes we’ll both be running away now.

Maybe encourage survivors to either use the perk slot or learn when to take people off hooks. If you’re going to rip someone off the hook without bt, it’s now on you to take that protection hit. Otherwise it’s your fault your friend is now on second hook.

It’s not a set a rules, I’m just saying that you guys can literally take the fundamental fun part of the game away if you felt like it. Survivors can’t stop you from chasing them, they can only be good enough to stop you from winning, but killers can deprive the lobby of the game experience if they wanted to. If I drop every pallet and loop you until the sun comes out, you still got to chase me right?

The chase is the whole fun part of the game. They can definitely make the chases less fun by being skilled, but the overall experience of losing a chase is not as boring as not having one at all.

Again I’m not saying killers can’t camp or tunnel and it’s never the right move, I’m just saying that when they do they can take the fun out of the game in a way we can’t do. And I don’t see how that’s more fun than trying and losing. That’s just my opinion.

survivors absolutely can deny the killer from playing the game. I gave examples in the post you quoted. Being immersive—a valid tactic—denies killer any interaction and leads to games where gens seem to repair themselves. Which isn’t fun for killer. The inverse example would be getting tunneled off hook or face camped at first hook: the survivor is being denied their experience.

There are no concrete rules, the devs won’t ban a killer for tunneling or a survivor for being over immersive. But there are social rules, and while I’m fine with this idea so both sides can have fun, what disheartens me is on display in your reply. Killer should make sure survivors have fun, even if they lose, but the survivors bear no such responsibility.

I play 70% killer, 30% SWF. I won’t make claims about solo survivors because I don’t play solo survivors. While I can point out what I feel is unfun with solos, I have to respect if a solo player tells me I’m wrong. You seem like you don’t play killer much, if at all. Why not give killer a spin for a week or so? Try to empathize with the other side. If more people did this then these forums and game would probably be a lot more fun.

  • Good survivors can definitely be boring. Hold w the moment a heartbeat comes up, urban evasion or shadow step away, pre drop every pallet if they notice you’re a killer who has trouble with that, hide in lockers for twenty minutes once two people get killed … it’s crazy to me that killers have a set of ‘rules’ they’re meant to abide for a “fun” match, yet survivors never are expected to slow down a fast match for the killer’s fun.
