  • Not fun at all to face. He is yet another killer with what i call "single player gameplay design" problems. It is a killer who was made to make everything fun, satisfying and easy for the killer player, while the survivors feel like an afterthought, if thought of at all, like an NPC that's only there to be hunted down and killed in the way that's most fun for the killer player.
With killers like this the gameplay is often a blast to the killer player but on the survivor end it feels like there's complete lack of options and counterplay, and anything that could be considered one, is extremely limited, meanwhile the killer has plenty of win/win situations. And, of course, the killer has a thousand different abilities yet again, meanwhile survivors continue to be skins of the only two actual survivors in the game, the male and the female, and then you put perks on them, that's it.

This is an honest opinion after facing him many times, it feels like nothing i try can make it feel OK to play against him, it just feels like everything is made so he'll have the game in his favor while i don't get to have any fun.
There's no reward to predicting him, you only get to do it again and again until the killer downs you, which does not take long with a power like that. If they get tired of using the power they can just M1 you because the fact that you were trying to be unpredictable put you in bad spots with no safety, because, guess what, going to safe spots is predictable and will get you killed, and doing otherwise… will ALSO get you killed! Now… is that fun? Only for the killer.

("Oh but i like facing him" well, some people like to eat excrement, but that does not make it good.)

Oooh, I'm not sure why you revived a thread from 2021 buuuuut

I now have 2715 hours! I'm allowed to have an opinion now!!!!!!

    Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

    ...I need a hobby 😭

🤣 It's just that i just completed 1.003 hours in DBD and i stopped and wondered "am i allowed to have an opinion about this game now?"... So i googled it 😂 the results brought me here. It's just so weird to me how in this community you need thousands of hours for your opinion to be considered valid :') I just think there's so many variables. I'm completely random in this game, i could play it for a week everyday for hours each day and the results for each match would be SO random, because sometimes i'm complete #########, but other times i loop the killer for 5 gens, and then in another match i'm hooked first and no one rescues me... then i'm good again in the next one, and then in another one i don't even know how to loop :') but yeah i was just curious about what people think of hours in this game in a definitive way, like how many hours you need for people to even consider your existance

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I only have 1,864 hours so I'm not allowed to have opinions yet :'(

Lol, this is the definition of how debates and arguments work in this community. It's so stupid and so funny :')

You could play this game for an entire year and people will still treat you like a complete newbie who doesn't know anything about the game, as if it was such a complex game... and it is not.

  • @ByeByeQ said:

This is a big no after 6 years.

Could you imagine someone who spent hundreds of hours on their survivor main and got them to P100 or any high prestige only for them to be given a crappy unique power or just a power that player didn't like?

It would ruin the game for many people I'm sure.

Not to mention the monumental task of coming up with 31 or more survivor powers. BHVR is not up to that task.

My gosh some people react so dramatically to this idea-

First of all no one's talking about "powers" for survivors. Second of all... how could a survivor get RUINED just because of an item add-on that they can simply not use? or a passive that's just going to give them a small bonus at something? or an emote? none of those things can RUIN any of the survivors, and they can't do it wrong if they just do something that fits the character. It would be a good ammount of work but it's not like making 31 new killers, most of the work would be coming up with addons and passive ability ideas applying it to the game. Plus, again, people have been paying the same price they pay for killers to buy survivors and survivors come with way less stuff so i think it's quite fair to add these things for the survivors that already exist.

  • Would be cool if this prototype version of Meg became her own character one day as DLC!

  • @dbd900bach said:

I think unique animations is as far as they should go. Adding unique items, add-ons and other things that affect gameplay would ironically drastically affect survivor pick rates.

It's completely unavoidable that one survivor would end up with something that becomes meta. Now all you see is that survivor. For future chapter survivors would become a pay to win character simply because they have the best add on or item.

Just to clear things up a bit the items wouldn't be unique for survivors, just the addons and emotes (or passive abilities, maybe, that's also an idea)!

I don't think it's completely unnavoidable that some survivors become meta, i think if done right every survivor will have it's value and people can choose the survivor that fits their playstyle. Killers are totally unique and different from each other, but even though there are very OP killers in the game, you can still see a lot of variety (at least i can in my games). Survivors with these changes wouldn't even be that different from each other like the killers are, so i believe we would not have extreme highs and extreme lows like with killers which is the problem. And about the pay to win situation, like i said, the survivors wouldn't be different enough for one to be OP (if things were done right), so i don't believe we would have that situation, also... don't killers have kind of a pay to win situation? since they are extremely different than each other with a few of them being OP or among the few stronger ones? i don't see the community complaining about that, why would it suddenly be a problem with survivors?

  • @SuzuKR said:

Anything that makes any survivor meta or less meta is a terrible idea because it’s a nightmare to balance and punishes people for liking a weak character.

Well... none of that actually makes a survivor meta or less meta if you do it right, what creates a meta is something that overshadows everything else and works in most situations while other things are much more specific. For example, when a perk is too strong, or when the perk is just strong but the rest sucks, it creates a meta because the most viable and safe strategy is to use that same perk over and over again, because the perk is considerably more flexible than the rest, or that it is just too good. If these things are done correctly in a balanced way from the start, you won't get everyone using just a single character for a meta, because every character can be just as strong or fun and it's only a matter of what suits each player's style the most, something that honestly makes the gameplay more fun, it makes looking at a Meg in your lobby mean something different than just "oh it's a noob" or "oh that's a pro".

  • @White_Owl said:

I actually like your ideas, especially the unique addon for each survivor and the emote. The only problem with that is that there are already 30+ survivors, so it would be a lot of work for the devs for little income, so I doubt it would ever happen.

I do agree that it would be a considerable ammount of work, but when you compare the work they have been putting into each and every killer to survivors, adding a few exclusive addons and like 1 emote for each survivor doesn't seem like that much, especially when you consider that the addons will just be icons that change item stats and the single exclusive emote each of them would get would be short and simple, especially when compared to killers who have entire execution moves. I don't want survivors and killers to have the exact ammount of content because that'd be too much, but survivors don't get nearly enough content to make them actually different from each other, and i feel like Behaviour owes us that. (Even more when you remember that killers and survivors cost THE SAME, so perhaps they have actually been receiving the income without actually doing the work that should be done)

  • @randonly said:

in my opinion, the survivors would have, in addition to the 3 basic perks that can be equipped on anyone, a unique passive system that is exclusive to each survivor and is directly related to the killer that came along in the DLC as a kind of mini counterplay .

I.E: Fengmin could have a system that made her doesn't scream with the Doctor's shocks (like calm spirit), but doesn't stop her from completing actions, she would not be stunned, the shocks would just disable the pop-up actions to appear like vault and drop the pallet, that is, you would be able to continue cleasing the totem even with shocks.Haddie Kaur could have a slightly wider field of view at nightfall.

Same thing with the rest of the survivors, some small thing that counter some specific killer, so the survivors would be unique and you wouldn't feel the necessity to always be playing with some specific meta (in case the system that makes survivors unique was due to addons as in your suggestion) .

Ps: In the case of unique DLC survivors like Mikaela, it could be a utility passive (general things), like not getting speed debuff on heal actions or not suffer from blindness, etc.

I actually kinda like your idea! i have also thought about some sort of passive ability for each survivor that gives each of them a small bonus in the trial that suits their personality and style of survival, and the bonus would be small so it doesn't get OP or overwhelming for the killer but still being useful and unique for the survivor. That variation of it being related to the killer is also quite interesting and creates some sort of interaction and link to the survivors and the killers, i like it.

Uniqueness is not always necessary. And this is absolutely true for survivors.

It also doesn't tie players to specific survivors, and allows you to play as any of them without changing your play style. And how to play as a survivor, the player chooses himself, so it makes no sense for him to "show the way."

That's not an absolute truth for survivors at all.

If uniqueness isn't necessary for survivors then why even have different survivors at all if all they have are perks that have NO exclusiveness to them? why do survivors cost the same as a killer even though they offer MUCH LESS than a killer does? Currently, nothing a specific survivor does is something that THEY exclusively can do, so what's the point of them being considered a different survivor? They're just cosmetics. You can still make your own way of playing with a survivor EVEN if they have exclusive skills, you can still equip perks, you can still equip your favourite items, you just have other small things that help make the character actually be a different person with different skills from the rest of the characters and makes it actually worth them being the same price as a killer. When you get a killer, you get a WHOLE new experience, when you get a survivor you get a cosmetic with perks.

Edit: Also, why would it be a bad thing to tie players to a specific survivor? It's so fun when characters actually have things that make them unique and it makes "having a main" ACTUALLY matter. Most people already tie themselves to a specific character in this game, people WANT to do that, the difference is that survivors don't actually have anything to set tem appart from each other, there's nothing making a Claudette main different from a Nea main appart from cosmetics.

  • @RisingTron said:

Idk I gotta disagree with the unique add-ons. If one survivor has a good add-on, then you're only going to see that survivor and I'd hate to have to play one survivor just because they have an add-on that suits my playstyle or item of choice more. I do wish they added more emotes tho. I still miss the teabag and point we were able to do for about a week.

Silly things like that just make the game feel fun again. Idc if it's cartoony.

Well, when you play killer (if you do), don't you pick the one that fits your playstyle the most? These addons would connect to a survivor's preferred way of surviving, it serves the purpose of making a survivor unique and have exlusive skills, just like the killers. We can't make all the perks be exlusive to their owners, that would be too much, but exclusive item addons would be a smaller and more viable change to make survivors not feel like just skins, they need to feel different not only cosmetically (looks, voice and animations) but also in their gameplay, they are different people! (plus we already see mostly the same survivors, i don't think item addons would really make it that different)

  • Btw sorry for the spelling mistakes and sometimes repeating words, i just had a lot to say and wasn't able to spot every mistake to correct it.

Also how do you guys feel about survivors having an exclusive special move? like a dodge or a kick or something of the sort, do you think that would be too much? how about adding an unique passive ability to each of the survivors? i think it would be cool if each one of them had a small passive ability that is unique to them, like idk... maybe being having a tiny bit faster healing speed? or getting more effect out of a great skillcheck... idk, something like that.

There's a big difference between a game mechanic that's there so Killers can sometimes get a hit around a loop and a Perk that that's pretty much a free health state with no counters and bugs out multiple Killer Powers.

It's obvious you're new to the game so please ask for help on how to get good before you start whining on the forums

i literally started playing the game around the last halloween event, i dunno if that qualifies as "new".

and no it isn't just a game mechanic that's there so killers can "sometimes" get a hit around a loop, killers use it all the time in all situations with great success and not just to "maybe" get hits around loops

chasing someone in an open field and they're getting next to a pallet with no dead hard? you can just skip some distance between the two of you and hit them! even if they try to dodge running you can still hit them even if you miss at the first moment because the animation takes time to finish and in all that time it still can hit the survivor by moving your camera

the only problem with Dead Hard is caused by this game's connection and it affects both sides

if it wasn't for connection issues DH would be just fine, just like lunge attacks

and it's not an extra health state, BT could be considered an extra health state(and it's a fair one), Soul Guard could be considered an extra health state, not DH, DH is a dodge, you swing, the survivor dodges(which is something any human being should be able to do in this game...), you miss

there's no problem in that when you consider the killer can lunge at you at any time

like i said, the problem is the connection which affects both sides

with DH you can't react to an attack because like i said, when the killer starts the animation and you try to react most of the time the game will freeze your DH and you'll get hit because in the killer's screen they have already hit you and the game prioritizes that MOST of the time

plus i just realised, how is DH a free health state when you literally become exhausted after using it? that's a drawback, you don't get just a cooldown like a killer lunge

killers can lunge more than survivors can Dead hard and even counter DH with the lunge attack

literally all you have to do is wait for it after you know the survivor has it, it's so frickin easy

  • as survivor i'm still kinda scared sometimes

ooh boy when it's a Myers the game just becomes so scary

especially when it's a darker map

with Myers there's nothing you can do if you see him looking at you, you gotta hide!

with Ghostface you can try to reveal him and stuff

but Myers? and if he has those crazy addons the game just becomes 10x scarier

i remember one match i was playing as Dwight and had just found out you can try to counter that one red addon Myers has by going into lockers

i noticed Myers killed someone and it wasn't a MORI, and btw i had met him earlier but i spotted him and ran away and hid

when i realised he could kill us as soon as he stalked us it really became a hide and seek game

i was very scared and when i knew he was about to kill me i would jump into a locker so i wouldn't die

i was the last one alive and Myers knew i was being able to avoid being instakilled so he let me live :') that was one of the scariest games i've ever had and it was so much fun

i dunno if it would be fun if that kind of thing just happend all the time but that one time it was pretty fun

but yeah a lot of the time the game isn't exactly super scary... but it can be scary a lot of the other times too

oh and when you're new the game is SUPER scary

    VERY VERY scary

but you know it doesn't help that the first thing people tell you(even killer mains) when you start playing the game is "don't be scared of the killer" :/ people just tell you to not be scared and just play the game, so i think the players themselves also made that happen along with the devs i dunno

  • it's really insane

i speak brazilian portuguese and i swear... half our dictionary is just censored

you can't say anything and the game censors it, but OF COURSE it does not censor the ACTUAL BAD STUFF

i can say a lot of bad stuff to people but i'm not allowed to say "i'm sorry" in my language, i'm not allowed to say ANY word that has an "h" in it(which honestly is A LOT of words in PT-BR, you literally can't say "million/millions" :v), i can't say anything, not even the most basic things

and that get's me thinking the same thing as you

isn't this supposed to be an M rated geme? i think i've seen the devs say curse words before while they're showing stuff about the game, why can't the players say it in the game chat? oh no actually they can but they can't say normal stuff... crazy huh?

anyway i think i'm going to try and contact behaviour in some way about this because it's really ridiculous, half my language is just cenored in this game and i'm getting tired of this BS

  • @Sally_S_gay_son said:

    No.

If you actually commit to chases as hag you are not playing her correctly, and buffing speed of ranged killers would make them oppressive as Slinger, Huntress and Trickster can all take a health state from far away, you just have to know which loops are in your favour and which are not.

And let's not even talk about 115. Imagine anti loop killers such as Nemesis or Artist ending chases even faster or Blight....

right? when i play against hag and they know how to play they usually don't have a lot of problems because they know where they should put traps and how that will help them in chases without actually needing to commit so much

i think making all killers faster would really just mess up everything

some killers who are already Easy Mode would have it even easier

You did not just call lunging a Killer version of Dead Hard

yes i did because it is

you can just look at it

    it's basically DH

you dash forward very fast and attack

the only difference is the survivor only dashes forward and has no attack

if you don't think so tell me how killers can simply counter dead hard with a lunge attack(something i did before a couple of times)

it covers enough distance fast enough to counter DH, so how is it so different from DH?

I don't mind the shards being where they're at now, because it does unlock stuff that you're supposed to pay for usually. I would maybe give a little more from leveling, but not anything crazy.

The bloodpoints is the main thing. Like there's literally no reason to have the grind for perks as much as it is. Most people don't play to unlock perks, and having all perks unlocked wouldn't keep them from still playing. At this point in the game's life you wouldn't lose players for making the grind much smaller. In fact it probably turns more people off from picking this game up than it actually draws people in.

i dunno i feel like the shards situation is bad

i don't think it should be changed to anything crazy, but at least a fixed number of rewards, you know? and maybe extra ways to earn shards even if by a little bit

and i know you need to work to earn characters you should pay for but that's WAY too much effort to get a single character from a game you already paid for

it should at least be a little easier to get them because it's way too much work IMO

like i said, it's crazy that this game requires more effort than games that are Free to Play

something should be done about the level up system and the rewards

i think it would be better if it had a fixed number of reward and you needed a fixed number of XP everytime to level up

but yeah it's pretty bad that BP is so difficult to get

you think you got so much BP and when you actually go and use it it barely does anything

  • i feel you

i'm basically a survivor main but i do play killer sometimes(i just don't consider it my style because i prefer third person camera and more human characters and stuff) and one time i was the artist

i don't know the name of the map but it had those cornfields and a big house, you know? so yeah i got a bully squad there! i don't know if ALL of them were together but at least 3 of them were, i felt a little bit like one David wasn't with them cause he was the only one doing gens but maybe he was with them i dunno

they would just bully me and not play the game normally and keep blinding me and doing flashlight saves and ######### and i just couldn't do much(probably because i'm not the best killer too and i was kinda new so i didn't know how to deal with this)

eventually i trapped them in a bathroom in the big house and i just stayed there until i felt like some of them were far away enough, then i picked David up i think and hooked him and just stayed there

i just needed one kill and i'd be done with it

eventually they saved david or something

i think i killed one of them in the middle of that

but they just kept waiting for me at the gates while i was just wondering around, i didn't wanna look at them

they let themselves die to the entity in the end but it really wasn't fun... but that was just one time

most of my matches as killer are normal and it's probably because my MMR is not very high

but i do get very frustrated playing as survivor(not that i don't get frustrated playing as killer)

killers camp, BM and do all sorts of things to make us feel miserable or they just take advantage of unfair things you can do in this game

me trying to play with my friend who's new to DBD? they tunnel him to death

we don't even try to be nasty

the killers just see him and tunnel him to death

killers tunnel people to death unnecessarily all the time

    they camp too

tease hatch and then close it after already getting 3K

Wraith and Tricksters BM the most from my experience

    anyway

it's just very frustrating on both sides

and honestly for survivors it can be worse because if the killer is THAT kind of player you're not even going to survive

after all the stress and all the unfair evil stuff you also die

with killer you at least get the chance to punish those people because you're the one who can beat them up

as survivor if a killer wants to bully you there's nothing you can do especially as a solo survivor(and i play solo the most soo... yeah it's pretty frustrating)

    anyway

i understand you, but i just wanna say it's not only survivors who are like that

it's very unfun to both sides, but hey, not all matches are like that! sometimes i get very frustrated with the killers i get but some of them are nice, some of them are too nice lol, but yeah, those killers just manage to melt my heart again after bad matches haha

  • Yes, the grind indeed got out of hand and it's been quite some time since that happend IMO.

The grinding in this game is worse than in some FREE games dude. You literally pay for this game and you have to grind your life away playing this to get something even remotely interesting and cool.

You need SO MUCH bloodpoints to get so many basic things it's crazy

try grinding as survivor to get BP and you'll get frustrated very fast lol

playing as killer gives so much more BP than playing survivor it's insane, you could have a bad match with 1 kill and still make more BP than the survivors or make what the surv would make in a good match and that's insane

i played so many matches where i was bad as killer and got a decent amount of points then played really good matches as survivor and got less than my bad matches as killer

And don't get me started on Iridescent Shards! duuude that's so fricking insane! you need to grind your entire life away EVEN MORE to get any decent amount of shards!! the Level Up reward system works in such a stupid way... it's ridiculous, and it's even worse when you realise the max Shards number you get after leveling up is 300... 300 fricking shards?!! that's the limit??!! it's so ridiculous

i would rather get at least 400 shards every time i level up and with the level up taking as log as it takes when you're in high levels

it would take a fair amount of time but at least i would get 400 everytime which would make things way more balanced

it's so ridiculous how you get like... a two digit number of shards when your level starts or restarts :v it should be a fixed number of shards from the start and the number should be at least 400, you can also make it go from 300 to 400, but the max number of shards you get should be 400 at least

there's another game i play sometimes(i used to play it a lot more since i love it) and it's called Rogue Company, it's a free third person shooter and the characters have different skills and stuff

there you can get ANY character for free and most of them cost like 15K Reputation Points(RP is like Iridescent Shards, the game's free money) and you get 500 RP every time you level up and the daily challenges give you RP points too and it's usually 300 to 500 RP

AND IT'S A FREE GAME!! how come DBD, a PAID game, has more grinding than a free game? i just think that's so insane

the characters should probably cost less and the level up system should be better and have a fixed number of reward(like i said... 400 iridescent shards)

i'm currently trying to get 9K shards to unlock Jeff and... dude... it takes forever

it takes SO MUCH effort to get even CLOSE to 9K

    it's really insane

you basically need to dedicate a whole year to get all the characters for free, maybe even more time than that honestly x_x

  • well... i don't use DH all the time, sometimes i use no exaustion perk or i use sprint burst(i've been using it a lot lately, it's quite useful and fun)

But i just wanna talk about something... sounds like you think DH is unfair or just a "mistake remover" or something

but why do people act so much like that... when killers literally can do that in their basekit? i don't see how it is unfair to the killer that the survivor can equip a perk to dodge when killers by basekit can dash and attack the survivor

it's just like dead hard and it gives FREE hits all the time

    really

i'm amazed even when i play as killer(usually huntress) and i'm just able to get RIDICULOUS and sometimes unfair hits using the lunge attack

it's even better for killer because it's more difficult to counter than Dead Hard, as survivor you can't be always looking back to see what the killer is doing or you'll bump into things and you can't really do much if the killer lunges and there's no pallets or windows(and even when there are killers often hit you on the window or pallet)

if there's nothing around at best what you can do is try to spin or bait the hit or by some miracle dodge it

but see... killers can dash forward by default and attack you and survivors need to equip a perk to be able to do something so simple... which is to dodge... and the perk isn't even good at that! if you try to use DH as a dodge you'll probably fail a lot of the time cause the way the game works doesn't allow you to react to the killer's attack

when they raise their arm to attack you the game has already stablished that you got hit and your DH get's stuck if you try to use it

so if you wanna use it as a dodge you have to guess the killer is going to attack, not react, and if you guess wrong(which is what happens most of the time) you just DH for nothing and the killer dashes forward with the lunge attack and hits you

waiting for DH is literally the easiest thing, i dunno why killers get so worked up over DH

it's very very easy to counter and it's even better cause the killer can do their own version of DH after the surv did it and it's like DH was for nothing cause the killer is basically able to cover the distance of DH and hit the survivor

    OH

and the survivor can only use it while injured so that's even better for the killer cause if the survivor is injured and they bait out DH the survivor is dead basicallly cause all you need to do as killer is hold M1 and BAM it's over

it's also funny how it is considered a "second chance" perk... because the survivor can only use it while injured, if survivors could use it while they're healthy i don't think it would be such a "second chance" cause in the first try it would work, not after you already got hit.

anyway... i just don't think DH is unfair, at least not for killer really cause the survivor needs to equip a perk to do something so basic that killers can do by basekit, it just makes sense to me, if the killer can lunge the survivor can dodge... it just makes sense :v the differance is killers don't need to equip anything to do it and they can do it whenever they want with the drawback of a cooldown, survivors need to equip the ability in a perk slot and they can only use it once they're injured and need to wait several seconds to use it again

might be annoying to some people but hey so is the killer lunge attack. killers got so many free hits on me because of the lunge attack all of them have, they go from very far away to hitting me in a second even tho i should be safe.

basically... i know DH is a strong perk but i don't think it's perfect for all survivors and A LOT of the time it fails, if you're bad and you use it wrong... trust me it won't make up for any mistakes, in this game as survivor if you're bad you're going to pay for it, you're going to suffer the consequences, there's no Dead Hard or Decisive Strike that can save you

these perks help people who are already decent and can use the perk right

when i was new to the game and tried DH it didn't save me AT ALL, killers would always get me anyways

so i know DH can't just erase all your mistakes in any situation, if you're not good DH can't save you

it might help you not get hit for one second but you'll die anyways.

  • there are many different situations that cause this like many people said here

    but anyway

when there's NOED a lot of times it's best to just leave instead of giving even more kills to the killer than the game already has

it's frustrating and unfair? yes, but that's how you deal with it unless you are lucky enough to find NOED right away

If the person is hurt and it's just you and the person, they shouldn't rescue you if they're not sure they're skilled enough to do that while injured. When i'm in a situation like that and i know i'm not good enough to save someone and i know i will just die with them, i just leave

It's better to survive than try to help someone when you know you can't.

if someone is healthy, has the perks to save you and everything is in good conditions for a save and they leave... then sure that's a very bad move of them

there's also a situation where a person is new to the game and they're too scared and probably would not be able to save you even if they tried, that's frustrating of course but you know... it's a newbie, you just gotta deal with it, they're learning, all you can do is give them some advice in the chat or something

anyway this is how i feel about this topic

  • killers already have so much stuff basekit

    a weapon

    a power

most are faster than survivors(from what i know)

they get help from the entity making the window get blocked after 3 vaults

they get bloodlust if they spend too much time trying to catch someone...

and of course... the Killer version Dead Hard that allows every killer to dash forward and attack

like? isn't that already enough? do all of them really need to be even faster than they already are?

i think maybe only some of them might need a speed boost if they struggling too much but not all of them

killers already have so much stuff to their basekit and survivors have to use perk slots to do even the most basic things ever or to counter really stupid things killers can do without needing perks

if survivors could do more stuff in theirs basekit you wouldn't see them just running all the time

unfortunately that's all a survivor can do sometimes... "hold W"

(also why don't you just say "running" instead of "holding W"? that happens so much in this community "oh just pressing E, oh just holding W"

you can do the same with killers, just holding W and holding M1 a lot of the time, that's called using the controls the game gives you)
