For devs is new UI Quality of Life improvemnt. Yet same thing for killer, in some mysterious way, isn´t. Don´t expect it. You can expect Nerfs, but not something what improve anything on killer side. Becuase devs are out of touch with the game. So they don´t know what actual state of DbD is.
The killer not seeing specific information is a balance and a design decision.

yeah 200 envelopes = 400k bp, i'm annoyed that they sit there doing nothing, i think bhvr should ALWAYS convert unused unusable offerings, items and addons to bp when events end, saving them for next year makes absolutely no sense, they are way too common, it's a bp sink in a super heavy grindy game, its a little backwards
-
no thanks, they already said the killer wont get that kind of info, ever, same with other killer powers etc
-
this makes sense, i'd love to see it, or at least get rid of chain blinds
-
sure if survs can opt out of facing certain killers /s
-
you pray i guess, most of the time you're just dead regardless but you pray the spirit makes a mistake so you can live for 10 more seconds
-
sadly they dont do balance changes based on peoples feelings, they go by mass collected data, if things need nerfed they probably will be

There's a psychology at play in many instances. It can be the killer's way of saying "You're not the power role, I am!". It's the same reason that many killers will completely throw a game to nod at you if you corner tech them even if they can hook you. It's a baby killer/noob-ish response, but it is what it is.
in most instances, this is probably true, i've seen killers throw the game just to down, hook and camp people for the slightest things, although i prefer that over the baby/noob killers who just tantrum quit, i've seen a killer DC for being pallet stunned it's that wild

I don't think this is a good idea, personally, and it boils down to two main reasons why.
The first is the balance/fun side of things- if Trapper starts with all his traps, then it'd be trivially easy for him to just set everything up around the first hook he gets, and this would be problematic if that first hook happens to be in the basement, or some other easily defended tile. That wouldn't be fun to go against, people would rightfully complain, and that's why the Trapper Sack has that downside- at least as far as I can tell.
The second is the side of the argument I personally find more compelling, which is that it removes the cerebral, plan-ahead nature of the Trapper. If you don't have to juggle your traps, and if you don't have to think about where survivors may run or what spots would be best to trap (because you're just setting up around your first hook), that completely undercuts the entire mechanical fantasy of playing Trapper. Needing to think about what you're doing and where you're doing it is a big part of his identity, and having all his traps at the start with no limit removes that.
However, I do think that his early setup is dismal and needs significant help. The main way I'd look to fix this would be to change the spawn logic of his traps- have them no longer spawn on the opposite side of the map to him, and have them spawn on his side of the map, trending towards the centre. There are other avenues to look down too - I've seen it suggested that he reload in lockers like Huntress and Trickster, and I saw one interesting suggestion that proposed changing his arming animation to be more like Freddy setting a snare, where he gets an aiming circle and tosses the trap to auto-arm after a few seconds instead of placing it manually - so it's not that Trapper is hopeless, just that starting with all his traps has too much downside, not enough upside, in my opinion.
they should make it so all his traps always spawn in loops and are spawned already open, this would add some danger for his early game, not sure how strong that would be, but it's a start
i mean in a random spot around a loop, as long as its near the loop in some way right off the bat, maybe its a dud or maybe its a god like spawn, it's up to survs to pop them or for trapper to move them
-
Survivors grabbing the standard should DEBUFF them not buff them, not sure what they were thinking with that one, also not being able to use your power when close to anything makes him a joke on indoor maps and some main buildings, bhvr dropped the ball big time on this one, he needs fixed
and yeah, his add-ons are garbage with 2 yellows and a brown being the best ones 😂
-
why would anyone dodge because of someones prestige lmao
you can have one surv at 100 but be playing a less played surv and be at prestige 1 with them, prestige is no measure of skill at all and if you dodge because of it, you are probably not very smart 😆
-
people throwing pallets at 5 gens while healthy and it's not an oni 😡
-
they should take what rocket league does, if someone DC within a certain time of starting, anyone else who DC after gets no penalty, or add bots
-
@Saiph said:
I don't ever see the DC problem go away, my hope is that they will fix it through reworking game mechanics, eg. having a bot survivor replace the person who left, or making the 3v1 less unwinnable for survivors (which would also partially fix tunneling).
yeah, i think a bot would be so much better than what we have now, still have a penalty but also give us a bot to at least do a gen or take up some killer time, right now someone can DC straight away and then the other 3 are pretty much screwed

Let him use his power when up against an obstacle you want to break, and something so you aren't trying to draw patrols through narrow obstacles at high speed and getting stuck. I dunno, just phase through the wall and correct the path?
this, for the god loving monke, this... too many times i'm screwed by this, makes him not worth playing
-
that seems too much, windows is fine and does a very good job at its purpose, the fake pallets are the killers power
-
Fair points, maps might be a problem i can see that.
i think an optional secondary objective might help though, challenges are okay but they can just happen naturally while playing except the glyph, i'd prefer something that perhaps affects the trial or somehow changes the flow, tbh sometimes it feels stale playing, resulting in resorting to randomizor builds, meme builds, make your own fun kind of stuff
-
kids with too much free time, an incurable plague of online gaming, best to just say gg and go next or you will lose brain cells interacting with people like this, unless you enjoy your sanity slowly being sucked into the void
-
The HUD icon update has given me a reason to play again, i play exclusively solo and now it is actually more enjoyable, it sucked being in the dark and just relying on random luck when making plans in trial
as for killer buffs, i'd say they are in a good place already, some perks could use buffs to dilute the gen kick meta, buff the unused/worst perks to meta level and ill be even happier, i want to see a massive choice for meta builds, same for survivor

I'm sorry, what about this screenshot is supposed to be the issue? Which one of these builds is "broken"? Is it all the Borrowed Time? Lithe? Distortion?
Also, out of curiosity, what do you think your MMR is at?
i was gunna say something similar, there's nothing wrong with those builds, quite standard really, even i run lithe and distortion these days and would say they are pretty fair perks
-
ye i agree, people suicide on hook or DC is one of the things that annoy the hell out of me, kinda makes not want to play because you just queued for 5 mins into a match that's already lost before it got going because of some salty pion giving up for x reason, give us bots, at least a bot will do a gen and be useful
-
extremely doubtful, killer mains would have a meltdown if bhvr tried to fix tunneling, tunneling is the easiest and most effective way to win, the community has been begging for mercy from camping and tunelling for years so......
-
locker blinds is not even close to locker CJs, it takes skill to pull off, if you want to talk about exploits to remove, trapper dodging pallet stuns by placing a trap should be up there, this though, not so much it just sounds petty
-
i do think they should give survivors being tunneled more, like base kit boil over and a faster wiggle, just so they cannot be tunnel out but don't hold your breath for them to do anything about it this decade
-
not even in the slightest
-
i agree, it should be focused on the gen not the killer, like a reverse wire tap
-
throw in a flashbang after the head on to add some extra spice
-
only way to fix SWF is to buff solos and killers
-
doubtful, limited time modes would b amazing and fun, so, probably not

Let's hope so. As survivor I'm tired seeing others bless totems instead of doing gens. SWFs can make good use of COH but we want to close that gap between solos and SWF so at this point it's bad for everyone except SWFs
boon perks are a great idea, what holds them back is the fact they are unlimited, imo they should work similar to hexs, one time use and the totem should break when the killer snuffs it, this is the cost of totem perks as with hexs
-
i've come to conclusion it is to avoid potential toxicity
-
i don't think so, haven't seen anyone run those together specifically, i've seen a couple of boil overs because people say it works with new wiggle, but breakdown, haven't seen that for a long time, not sure why they would do anything for current killer meta of gen regression/kicking
if you want a counter to current killer meta, use repressed alliance, blast mine, wiretap, things like those

My guess is that it's the same bizarro reason why we can't see MMRs/SWFs in postgame - they are worried about 'more toxicity'. Which...oof.
If a lot of people are dodging lobbies with a specific perk in them...maybe the perk is the problem.
Yes, I'm talking about No Mither.
i can defo see some throw shade and abuse just from seeing peoples perks, i guess i don't care what people run and i have fun playing solo, so i didn't see that angle

Survivors should really be able to see each other's perks in pregame. If BHVR's goal is some sort of parity between solos and SWF, it boggles my mind that this isn't the case yet.
completely agree, they should add a tooltip style box when hovering over the survs in the lobby with their perks, this lets solos plan their perks, sounds like a pipe dream though

Pre-game chat is essential. Yes, there's always 1 player who doesn't use it and 1 player who only speaks Tagalog, but at least I can reduce the chances of there being 4x Kindreds and 4x CoH in the match.
i suppose pre-game chat might be fine but i've seen trolls and bigots and majority never use it, so i just closed it anyway, we do fine but i see the merits of using it
-
@Hannacia said:
Just give killers shattered hope as basekit and Coh and other boons are solved. Survivors will actually have to look for other totems instead of booning the same over and over. Also they have to be careful not to overboon.
I just want to break them without using a perk that should have been basekit from the beginning.
i wanted shattered hope to be base kit too, seems wild they made it a basic perk, a whole perk slot for just that doesn't seem worth when compared to the power, well the potential power survivors could bring with their perks
-
turn off names, close pre & post game chats, enjoy, the game is only as fun as you make it out to be
-
i wouldn't mind seeing it at the end screen if it happened but why, it seems kinda pointless, i doubt they would waste the time as it adds nothing of substance to the game
-
dead hard can't hold a 3 gen for an hour tho can it lol
-
a nerf to CoH would be the end of boon perks, althought it's bhvr so i wouldn't be surprised if they gutted it
-
@OldmanOIverbeck said:
Survivors are so demanding. You are constantly whining "we need a nerf!", but in this case, start playing against bots already. Spirit, Nurse, Deathslinger -- they all get nerf. Soon there will simply be no players for the killers, there will only be a face camp Bubba. So then play with him.
dramatic much?
nurse is busted, other killers are fine, you say others are whining as you whine yourself 🤣
-
the "nerf" was not enough, she still is unfair to go against
-
the wiggle nerf was kinda stupid really, it was fine before, no one wanted the change but bhvr do what bhvr do

Turning the camera with a controller is wayyyyy slower than with M&K. It's not that we don't wish to look behind, it's just so sluggish and time-consuming to do.
this is not true, i played probably 1k hours on controller before switching to m&kb and was able to look behind fine in chase, if you aren't looking behind you in chase then you are not playing the best you could, you probably look like a noob to the killer and get tunneled thinking you are the weak link, i've heard many killer streamers mention players not looking behind them and how easy prey they are and i agree, if i see someone like that, chances are they are new or lost, you just have to suck it up and stop being lazy or hover in low mmr forever
-
it doesn't have anything to do with player skill sadly, it shows how much you have done in the match, a person looping for 5 gens will get less points than the people who rushed to unhook as an example
-
because it's extremely easy
-
for me it's clowns, i hate clowns, either they are really bad and camp/tunnel or DC, or they are gods and your just their playthings, no looping these monsters, who mastered the art of using both slow and speed at perfect spots on loops, your best chance is to pre drop pallets and pray the gens get done
-
best perk rn
-
this game would be so much more fun if killer got emotes too and more surv emotes would be great, i'd buy them
-
i want them to improve their bots so when my team DC cause they were downed first a bot takes over, only for survs, a killer bot is a joke
