Do you not think he's decent? His powers upon the skill checks are mental. Have you tried being phase 2 of hallucination doing skill checks going backwards ๐ especially when you think the actual killer is infront of you and its not. The man's crazy ๐
Yea Doctors tend to use their powers like crazy but there is a huge difference between a main Doctor and someone who just uses Doctor for any other reason, timing. Timing isn't easy with Doctor I mean he's predictable, using his power slows him down, you know when he uses his power, you can dodge his power, I mean overall that is why he is low tier, the killers I HATE most are trapper, spirit, and hag.

You just sprint bursted into the killer's direction while at the same time they also happened to patrol that same path... That's not even a close spawn + killer shack is a common spawn spot for survivors so killers with some game knowledge will patrol those common spots first. You could also have just hidden when you heard her getting close but you obviously wanted her attention so what's the point of this post?
Holy crap, I'm really tired of saying this, I understand that was a bad clip but you also have to consider it really isn't based on killer movement/patrol, it's just LUCK that I ran into her. Explain the second clip? I don't think you can, I mean all that really is, is BAD RNG which is the whole point of this discussion... Also it doesn't matter if I sprinted towards her, in the end if I still did gens/totems/chests/etc I would've been caught. Hiding still doesn't fix the fact that the rng is trash, I'm usually with one or two more survivors, so they should hide too? I don't think your points are good enough to define my actions/statements. NOT to be rude in anyway.

I've seen videos of survivors spawning in the killer shack with the killer.
It was a long time ago.
Yea I've seen videos on people who actually spawn looking at the killer, it's kinda sad but it happens.

Yeah he's pretty easy to outrun to be fair. I struggle out running the doctor the most or Ghost face, especially when it says in the corner escaped, you think you've lost him turn a corner and he's just crouched there ๐
Am I really the only one who likes to go against Doctor? He's annoying but struggles to be a good killer.

Me too, its always a laugh when that happens. ๐ especially next to bubba. Man's got a chainsaw better run!
LOL, Bubba = 360, ez claps
I'm joking, for some reason the devs made mechanic techs harder (360, moonwalk, etc) but yea I agree.

Wait.... that's actually pretty controversial. Spawning distance and luck (or rng) is the same thing. I looked up on the internet to see if your statement were to be true and it isn't. Like I said, minimum distance isn't said and not true but again I know what you're talking about. I think there is enough people asking questions or making posts like myself. Ok ok first clip wasn't really good proof but no one can deny the second clip, that's beyond stupidity if you try to contest.

So as soon as you spawn you sprint burst into the killer direction, and the killer sees you. Where is the issue here?
Not sure if you ignored the other posts, go take a look we already addressed this "issue" before.

Yes, the distances are random, but minimum distances are set to not have you spawn right next to the Killer, which your video shows it's still working.
Vigo's Shroud ensures lots of distance between the two of you, but it doesn't stop you from spawning right next to the Killer because that's not a thing.
Btw not trying to spam but I found another DbD forum that you can take a look at:

Hello.
This happened me many, many times and sometimes you just hide or sometimes the killer saw you because you couldn't get a decent spot to hide. However, I have played 3 games in a row where I spawned, walked LESS THAN 5 SECONDS and the heartbeat sounds. I can't do anything in the whole game. Why is this way this spawns? Why do I have to start a game, basically, in a hook?
No, I'm not a pro survivor, I just want to have fun but this is completely UNFAIR.
I even sometimes spawned seeing the killer without even moving.
Pretty much everyone agrees that it's just luck, no one talks about spawn distances and etc. NOT to be rude in anyway.

I would also like to see any evidence to back your reasoning, not sure if there is minimum or maximum distance between killers and survivors

Well the second clip is close to the killer already and also people have experienced looking at a killer by just spawning in the game. Tech there really isn't a distance set at this time but I get what you're saying. You also have to consider other people experiencing this as well.

There is a minimum distance, it's why you never get together with a Killer in the same tile in the beginning of the Trial.
It wasn't close here either, you just happened to go towards eachother.
I'm not sure if this is how it works, I'm pretty sure the spawn distances are just random. I mean isn't that the reason why the devs added the vigo's shroud? It was for people who wanted to spawn away from the killer instead of right next to them.

It's indeed not what you said, it's what i understand from what you did say.
The distance between Killer and Survivor is already big, adding even more distance between the Killer & all 4 Survivors (who can spawn at very far distances from eachother as well) would make it hard for the Killer to spawn into the trial at all.
Of course you can find a Survivor within 15 seconds if they spawn far away, all it takes is for both the Survivor & Killer to move towards eachother, whether they meant to or not.
So you didn't understand what I said, I said that there should be minimum distance from the killer so that both sides can play fair, doesn't need to be far away but as long as it's not spawning anyone close to the killer.

second clip once again you spawned perfectly fine its that you both were going to the exact same spot.
That really isn't true at all, the second clip? I spawned in hearing the music playing and also spine chill was activated.
-
@Friendly_Blendette said:
You just sprintbursted straight into her. You spawned out of her lullaby. I dont really see the issue. You sprintbursted straight towards where she spawned and she was walking towards your spawn. I dont see whats confusing about this.
I'm really getting tired of saying this, but running doesn't define me spawning right next to the killer, I don't think you've checked the second clip, your statement is invalid compared to the others that I cleared up. What about me doing gens and etc.?
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
So i watched both clips and you didn't spawn 'right next' to the killer. You ran toward the killers TR. As for killers finding you first, that's just down to luck. The killer will instantly begin to patrol gens and will try head to one fairly close to where they spawned. Not only that but just because you hear the TR doesn't mean they are close. They could be using a perk to boost its size or in doctors case, add ons. People have pretty much said the exact same thing. I don't understand why you're adamant on they're wrong in what they're saying.
So I watched the second clip back and as you can see on the bottom right, spine chill was active, meaning that the killer was looking at my direction. I felt that if the killer had a presence that I was there, he would've came right after me. I didn't even have enough time to examine the area I was in.
-
Btw I could hide but usually I have a teammate near me and I kinda feel bad for them. Vigo's shroud is in fact the best option currently but I also think that it's just really annoying. I can understand how you get the "running towards the killer and the killer running towards you" but can't say the same with the second clip. I also can't say the same with doing other stuff besides running like totems/chests/gens/etc, I mean you're pretty much standing still but given the noise, I get it.
Thank you.

Ok let's get something straight, I'm not disagreeing with anyone, I'm just saying that I don't usually run towards the killer, the killer tends to go to me. If there is a gen that I'm working on, that's not me running to the killer, that's the killer going towards me. Also most of the time killer's don't run TR perks/addons. Yes it is luck but this pretty much happens 5/6 times. If this is really "luck" in this game, then it's just down right bad.

hiding shouldnt be necessary at the start of the game
So you want free reign for the first 15 seconds every single Trial?
Cause that's just not gonna happen, spawn points can never always be that kind to you.
Making it less RNG won't help at all, it'll just make Killers remember spawn points.
Ok that's not what I said, I mean that they should add distance between the killer and the survivors, doesn't need to be much. Also I'm not sure if it takes 15 seconds to find a survivor that doesn't spawn close to you.

Mmmm, still seems fine.
You can also just hide instead of sprinting in the open, if you don't want to be found too quickly.
Also, i don't know if your previous comment refers to this clip, but there was no immediate Terror Radius.
This is immediate Terror Radius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_QBNPGCV50
So? This still doesn't make rng right, hiding shouldnt be necessary at the start of the game, but the clip that I just posted shows close to a immediate terror radius.

She walks to you, you walk to her.
You can only have so much distance between you and the Killer since there's 3 others who also need distance.
Nothing really wrong in this clip.
This is a wrong but it's fine. You shouldn't always believe that rng is right, I literally now have a clip of me hearing the killers music from me spawning in the game.

...not, run straight into the middle of the map?
I really just don't do that... so if I work on a gen what happens? You're advice isn't really that valid nor effective, sorry.

You ran to the wrong direction, that is just bad luck.
However, I understand your complaints. I've had the unpleasant experience of spawning right next to the killer many times, and I know just how frustrating it can be.ย
Yea thanks, it's just been tough ever since I started, nothing has changed.

Alright thanks for the help guys, I could tech use this as an advantage, by making the killer loop me, I could just get good at looping but most of the time it catches me off guard or I'm in a bad spot.

But he wasn't near you. He was at least 40 meters away. You ran the wrong direction, that's bad luck, not bad spawn.
usually the killer always goes after me first, what should i do instead of bringing vigo's shroud? When I do gens that I just spawned right next to with two or three survivors, the killer goes after me first
-
@VikingWilson said:
"Next to you" and it took both running toward one another to find each other. I was expecting a load-in like I had by spawning in the shack looking at a survivor square in the face. I slowly turned and we had an actual start of the match, not one that just happened upon one other.
But still doesn't need to be super close to me but just near me.
-
@bjorksnas said:
You ran directly into the killers direction for 8 seconds with sprint burst, thats 38 meters distance closer to the killer who I assume was headed in the same direction for 35 meters and saw you, 70 meter starting distance isn't bad but you just ran directly into them
How do I avoid the killer? just second guess myself? no disrespect
-
Yea but you need to understand that the killer was on me really quick, even if i didnt have sprint burst, he would still be on me, also i didnt run far, the killer just came towards me.
