If you want some insight of how Behavior adds achievements in this game I can give you some info that I have myself observed. They add achievements every time they add new content to the game that usually is DLC either original or licensed. If the DLC has both survivor(s) and killer there will be six new achievements. If there is only a killer or only survivor(s) there will be three new achievements. Both sides get three achievement if that side gets a new character(s) in the DLC. At least one of those achievements is always the adept achievement and all new characters added will get one. Killer usually gets one achievement that is linked to them and is not achievable with other killers. If there is a survivor(s) in the DLC and there is a new map added with the DLC then one of the survivor achievements is fixing the gen in the main building achievement. After this the rest of the achievements usually have something to do with the new characters added but are not always linked to them only.
Examples:
Dungeons & Dragons added one new killer, one new survivor and new map. This makes them add six achievements as there is a new killer and survivor. First one becomes the new killers adept achievement. Second achievement is made to be achievement linked to the killer and third becomes universal achievement that can be got with any killer. Fourth achievement becomes the new survivors adept achievement. Fifth becomes the fix gen in the main building of the map achievement. That leaves one achievement for survivors that is made as universal achievements that can be done by any survivor.
Castlevania added one new killer and one new survivor. This makes them add six achievements as there is a new killer and survivor. First one becomes the new killers adept achievement. Second achievement is made to be achievement linked to the killer and third becomes universal achievement that can be got with any killer. Fourth achievement becomes the new survivors adept achievement. As there is no new map so no gen fixing in the main building achievement. That leaves two achievements for survivors that are made as universal achievements that can be done by any survivor.
Steady Pulse added one new survivor. This makes them add three achievements as no new killer. One of the achievements becomes the survivor adept achievement. The other two achievements become universal achievements that can be gained with any survivor
Five Nights at Freddy's added one new killer and new map. This makes them add three achievements as no new survivor. First one becomes the new killers adept achievement. As there is no new survivor in the DLC there is no gen fixing in the main building achievement. This leaves two achievements left. One is made to be achievement linked to the killer and the second becomes universal achievement that can be got with any killer
The Walking Dead added two new survivors and new map. This makes them add three achievements as no new killer. Two of the achievements becomes the survivors adept achievements. The last achievement becomes the fixing the gen in the main building of the map achievement.
Yeah, i understand, but at least back then, like my 2 examples, they wouldn't always follow this formula that they do which is why it's boring and nothing fun or exciting comes out. Challenges and achievements you would earn without knowing they exist is not as fun, and id hope everyone agrees. The Walking Dead is the worst example to me, 2 adept and a gen why not stick with 6 always or even more and do fun things, I know it's harder on Xbox and PS5, so I don't expect them to add achievements any other time than a DLC.

I agree, Achievements are fun to do.
Except there is a bunch of people around, who only focus on completing Achievements and they will complain about every little thing of it if its too hard to get. They seem to forget achievements are the fun we have along the way to get it.
Personally I want more achievements.
Yeah, I understand some of the event challenges would make people play in an unfun way for a week or some book challenges. But I think in the long run, it would be fun because I think we all get bored with the game sometimes, and these fun, creative challenges that wouldn't hurt things would be nice. I'm an achievement hunter myself and have done most of them already. I've had the game since launch on Xbox so I've basically done it all. I just personally hate the ones recently, which is hit a survivor at the exit gate or escape a chase in a locker, they are lazy and not fun.

The achievements are boring is what I'm saying and some are problematic one recent one was escaping a chance by hiding in a locker it makes people only aim for this and ignore playing the game normally same with some tome trails just makes some matches a dud from the beginning i would hope to see achievements to prestige characters and killers and tied to toms specifically for finishing them or even each tier to add more value to updates.

The latest patch includes a new achievement, Power Moves:
Equip 0 perks, repair generators for a total of 1 full repair and escape 8 times in public matches.
You need to play as Survivor, with no perks, repair the equivalent of at least one full generator and escape. You need to do this 8 times in total.
When you play as Survivor, do you want a teammate who is running no perks, or do you want a teammate that is using perks?
When you are playing Survivor, and you want to play normally, you can be disadvantaged by another player on your team, because that player is going for an achievement. I think that's bad design. Your team is weakened for reasons outside of your control (= someone doing this achievement) and there is not really any way to prevent that.
It should have been a Killer achievement instead: Kill everyone Survivor without using add-ons, offerings or perks. Do this 8 times.
You need to play seriously to get this achievement, so you are not ruining the game for the Survivors, even though you make them play against a significantly weakened killer.
Yeah I agree the perk does encourage u to play selfish but its a difficult challenge I wish they would make achievements for a complete build and escape (and not the adept ones which is similar) like a healer achievement but one thing i love about this game is they release achievements each chapter update i wish they would make more though.

Then why have ranks im confused, personally thats a very terrible decision if new people pick up the game why would they play if there lvl 20 playing against people who have played for years i got a few matches today with all 20s as survivor and i looped the guy for all 5 gens and he said hes refunding the game why would new people pick up the game makes no sense.
