  • I would not say it would make it oppressive, but it would require you to pay close attention to the Killer more and how they play around chases or play in general.

  • This might be embarrassing to say, but it was Technician that I was way too stubborn to remove.

I thought I needed the perk to work on generators peacefully and the stats themselves convince me that it was actually a meta perk. I mean the killer cannot hear the gen your working on within a certain range or the skill check miss penalty minimized? A good fine addition to my perks, since I preferred playing stealthy at those times and I was quite frankly new.

My friend really did not seem to mind up until a certain point, in their point of view at least, I was experienced enough that I would not need the perk anymore. Still I refused to let it go, but they kept pushing me to try other perks as I might get stuck and not adapt.

Luckily they convinced me alot and I eventually gave in.

  • The perk is fine allowing ways to trick survivors, but the problem is the most common way of tricking them is standing where the hooked person is and waiting for them to come rescue.

You could do many things with Insidious LVL 3 you could ambush survivors you know would come back to a gen, possibly mind game survivors during a chase, and possibly give a false sense of relief to survivors knowing you have allegedly left their area.

Yet no one taps into its potential enough that the only logical conclusion you may get is to camp, but if the survivor hooked has kindred and your aura dissapears within 6/4/3 seconds there is a good chance you will be standing there without someone trying to rescue.

  • As far as I am aware of there really is no way of telling when will there be a discount or there will ever be a discount, but you could keep yourself up to date with DBD's forum or Twitter to know if they may have discounts for auric cells.

  • It might just be the queue times or the time of the day you are playing. Some servers are more active then others during specific hours.

  • Although flashbang can make saves much more easier or might be used as a distraction, flashlights are still my go to.

Mainly due to how versatile flashlights usually are not only can you flashlight save or blind the killer. You can also counter Hag's traps, ability to get your teammates attention or communicate in a way, ability to get the killer's attention, and you can extend the life or make the flashlight even better with add-ons.

  • Hex perks in their current state seem fine, but the totem spawning spots are either the easiest or a nightmare to find.

The second option seems interesting and gives a new spark to totems. The only thing I want is to be precisely careful around what the "dying" totems last breath of power would be or the extent of its power.

  • There should/are servers in West coast accommodating those who have cross play off, but the problem is there may not be players during the time of which you played with cross play turned off so the game moves you to East Coast servers to compensate.

  • Decisive strike is used for anti-tunneling if your teammates decided to unhook you without Borrowed Time or the killer continues to chase you after BT has ran out due to either the killer waiting BT out or the killer has already hit you and BT activates.

Personally I would not use DS at my first hook state, but rather when I am at my second hook state as it is the time when your most vulnerable and the 60 second immunity is reassuring.

However it could also backfire if the killer has a mori, see what offerings the killer might have and use DS accordingly whether early or late game.

Using DS early can also allow you to not reach the second hook state instead remaining at the first until the killer decides to go for you to which they most likely will. It allows your teammates time to do gens, totems, position themselves if they have flashlights, and saving you from the hook.

  • Both sides are toxic towards the other, but the only difference is there is four survivors and one killer. There probably is no spike to my current knowledge, but it gives off an illusion of one.

While clicky clicky flashlight survivors are a nuisance, it is a viable strategy to get you to chase them, they are usually confident in their looping abilities or are experienced loopers. Paying no mind to them may waste their time trying to get your attention.
