BBQ's BP bonus becomes baseline for all killers to promote perk diversity and reducing the feelbad slog to getting bbq on a killer you want to play. Survivors also get a similar bp bonus for playing well.
-
I would love if BBQ's bloodpoint bonus for hooking survivors was just made baseline for all killers.
-
If you find so many killers annoying then it might be a personal problem rather than a problem with the devs.
-
Totally agree that it's stressful. It's a great perk for the information it gives but that information is often confirmation that the team is working on that gen I really don't want them to finish.
-
If everybody has the same skill level then the game is mostly balanced, perhaps a bit leaning towards survivors but not in a real meaningful way.
I believe the rule that a low skill killer will have a solid advantage over low skill survivors but high skill survivors have a slight advantage over the killer.
Of course, survive with friends has a massive advantage over killer and I think that's where a lot of killer complaints on the game being too survivor sided come from. The survivors being able to communicate with eachother over comms is a massive advantage and given equal skill between a killer and a SWF group, the killer will lose every time. Even having two solo survivors and a pair in SWF is a sizable advantage for the survivors.
-
As a killer I think Moris are definitely stronger than keys. The Ebony Mori for sure, I'd say the other moris are mostly fine. The survivors need to complete a lot more of their objectives for the hatch to spawn while the killers don't need to complete nearly as many of their own goal.
Of course, both moris and keys are too strong and both should be reworked or removed. (I wouldn't want moris to be removed completely since they're fun and unique to the killers, but definitely reworked and the ebony probably just straight up removed.)

I got jumpscared by my own charm when I was playing killer when I turned a corner in the Silent Hill map and walked right into the scary Spirit doll with the screaming face I put on my hook.
Plus it gives me something to judge on a survivor if I'm determining to give them the hatch or if there's two left which one to give the hatch to.
-
I completely disagree. I really like the new map, both as killer and as survivor. It's actually scary like a horror game should be and there's a ton of interesting loops throughout the map. I will admit that it's unfriendly to people playing it for the first time as it's disorienting to try and navigate when you don't know where anything is, but that feeling will go away after playing it for a bit.

As a killer main who doesn't camp, I'm having trouble seeing the issue with it. If one survivor is being camped why doesn't everyone else just do gens and leave? I played survivor for a while and only saw one facecamp and we just left. The killer didn't get many points and that was that.
What's preventing the team from just doing gens and leaving? It sucks that there's a guaranteed death but that's how it goes.
-
Half of these aren't bugs and are just things you're mad about. Consider taking a deep breath and counting to ten.
-
I really like the new map, both as survivor and as killer. The center courtyard is fun to run the killer in and as killer I love all the breakable walls.
-
If another survivor is being camped, just finish gens, let them die and leave. Camping is only punished if you take advantage of it.

No one's debating whether or not NOED is fair, I find it okay after the Ruin nerf.
But this whole "I down another survivor while another is on the hook and I still get DS'ed" is very rare, I haven't seen anyone post it on the forums and I doubt it happens often. It's the killer typical excuse, "I wasn't even tunneling, someone else was on hook and I still got DS'ed."
Bull.
I play a lot of killer, it is definitely not a "very rare" occurrence.
-
Survivors that say DS is only used to counter tunneling don't play much killer. I'd say that DS isn't that bad on its own but when every survivor you're playing against has it, it has very little counter play. Survivors are constantly abusing borrowed time and DS together to make it very difficult for the killer to do anything. The normal counterplay of slugging them is countered by the survivors getting in the locker or using unbreakable.
If you're playing well there will be times where a survivor runs in and unhooks a survivor right in front of you, they eat a hit and maybe go down sure, but now the unhooked survivor has borrowed time and you gotta chase them twice just to eat a DS if you catch them. Or you could go for the unhooker but whoops, it's only been fifty-five seconds since you last hooked them so now you're stunned for five seconds again.
DS as it is now encourages survivors to play in a counter-intuitive way with very little way for killers to interact. I think the simple suggestion mentioned earlier in the thread that DS ends upon performing game actions I think is a great way to keep it a simple anti-tunneling perk. Are you really getting tunneled if you're unhooking someone directly in front of the killer?

I mean, could they? Probably, BP accumulation has no effect on gameplay. Will they? Probably not.
And the reasons have nothing to do with the game itself.
I would wager any amount of money that Leatherface is the most bought killer in DBD, hands down, not even close, and it has NOTHING to do with his power or playstyle, it's not even due to Franklin's Demise or Knock Out, it is strictly down to one perk. I am sure Leatherface has made BHVR hundreds of thousands if not millions in revenue, all due to giving him a double BP perk.
Now I ask you, as a business that has to sustain itself, are you just going to give that up randomly? Probably not.
Now as far as the perk itself, if the BP element is removed everyone just moves to using thrilling tremors. Not only do I get basically the same information (what generator to patrol next) but it can show me generators being worked on closer to me as well, it also blocks generators not being worked on.
BBQ and Chili is definitely an S tier perk due to it's BP and not it's aura reading, which is countered by a lot of tactics and is hardly completely accurate. But between the money that Leatherface buys makes for BHVR and the desire to keep people playing (that's why games have grinds in the first place, keep people playing and hopefully buying some cosmetics here and there) I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Hate to be the Debby Downer, sorry in advance.
I don't think people will immediately use Thrilling Tremors over BBQ if BBQ didn't have a BP bonus aspect. BBQ and Tremors provide different information. BBQ is better on fast moving killers like Spirit or Oni, while Tremors can be used to great effect on someone like Freddy who can fake a teleport to a gen and then lift somebody up to block off that gen.
The belief that they wouldn't make BBQ baseline because people would stop buying Bubba is a reasonable assumption but I don't think its true. Bubba is included in several of the game's bundles for free and I believe that they're seeing diminishing returns on Bubba at this point in the game's lifespan. At this point it'd be more profitable to make BBQ's BP bonus baseline as it will encourage people to play new killers. Someone may look at a killer and think they look interesting but be turned off by the idea of grinding them for maybe dozens of levels until they find BBQ. If the grind was more fun players would be encouraged to try new killers.

Unfortunately all you can do is play how you want and just don't look at the post-game chat.
You could play as fair as possible, making sure to only use perks survivors approve of, going out of your way to play suboptimally to avoid any possible accusation of tunneling and the survivors will still harass you and call you whatever slurs they want after the game.
Play how you want to play, survivors will be awful and toxic no matter what you do.

Getting all perks on one main survivor and getting all killers to a point where you have all perks and lot's of addons for all of them took me like 4-5 months of playing. Now I don't even know what to do with all BPs, so are you playing much at all? Just play games and soon you have more then you need.
But I understand if you want to prestige all killers and all survivors and get all perks to max on all of them, ok then it will take forever. But in my book that is going too far. I have not prestige a single killer or survivor, I don't see the point of doing that.
The point here is to make the grind more fun, allowing for greater perk diversity and allowing you to keep the same pace of leveling without forcing you to only make 3 perk builds. And people may not have the time to invest in the game that you do.

I’m not being rude or mean but I don’t think it’s a good change cause honestly that’s like the 1 most used killer perk and I don’t want that nerfed just like what happened to ruin, I to use it and I absolutely love it cause I can level up my killer or survivors faster which is the whole point of it as well but if it’s only just aura reading I would stop using it because it’s practically useless, and btw it’s called a nerf not a buff, a buff if where they make it stronger a nerf is where they make it weaker.
I'd reread my post. If you like using BBQ for the aura-reading then everything continues as it does now, you still get the BP bonus, you still get the aura reading. You just can choose a different perk if you want without losing the bonus bloodpoints.

Why is it that every time somebody's like "hey this game has a really toxic community" the first response is to say "bu-but other communities are worse!"
Like yeah man, there's usually a worse thing no matter what you're talking about. That doesn't mean that there isn't a problem here. Yes, sometimes LoL has a worse community but at least I see Riot trying to make changes and trying to resolve the issue. I see racist, vile crap all the time in the post game chat in DBD and I don't think the report function does anything. What changes have the developers made to try and fix their community?

Ah yes, Pig, the famously overpowered killer.
