I'd say it depends on everyone's level of play, not saying it's a bad perk its actually a great perk but if all 4 are high level it's not needed
Pros of kindred:
- Can see if the killers camping
- Can see who the killer is if you dont know already
- Can see the direction the killers going in
- Can see if you need to go for the save
- Gives surveillance in the area if the killer sets up traps
- Allows you to remain hidden easier if you're already close
- Let's you see which pallets are being used/dropped while someone is on hook
Why high lvl players wont run it
- It's a perk slot, I know but you have to understand there are lots of great perks and at the highest level is this one better than all the rest? Not really
- We know the time it take to get to the hook, we can sit on gens most of the hook state and only save when needing to.
- Having kindred doesn't mean people will do gens or stop multiple people coming for you, this is very annoying to see when you use the perk .
- Perks like windows can give the same info on which pallets are gone/been used but permanently so it counters that benefit.
- Higher level players tend to be more aware of what their team is doing and where they/the killer is located.
- Dont need to know who the killer is which counters the one benefit, high level players aren't really afraid of most killers because of how weak they can be and most high level players will have a pallet, window or route planned for when a killer comes to chase. Also stronger killers like nurse have huge audio tells.
It's a great perk, but if I'm being honest the only reason I'd use it is to try encourage players I think are bad to be more efficient on gen/saves and not any actual personal benefit. Good perk though, definitely not a bad perk to run in any game unless you're on comms
Swf main confirmed

Thanks all, I do this myself but the other survivors don't. SOlo q :(
-
I've tried all of your recommendations. Survivors are usually far away when hit by a swarm of crows. By the time I get over, they hold 'W' somewhere else, or jump into a locker so the crows are pointless.
I'm quitting Artist for now, and switching to Nurse, as I can't take the entitled survivor swf's any longer :/

It’s ironic that Dead Hard came with No Mither.
If those who rely on DH so much, had to use No Mither, they’d drop DH altogether.
It’s as if the perk designers don’t think about the balancing of perks when used as teachables. They only see them in their sets.
In context, DH was created to give leeway for the 1 health state of No Mither. But now it’s the most abused perk, much worse the DS.
Why hasn’t it been nerfed yet? I play survivor 50% and never use DH, and I think it feeds mistake and makes you a lazier/selfish survivor.

It would be nicer if they just showed us our MMR privately, so we have an idea of what we should be matched against.
What should also happen is if, the matchmaking fails to put you with similar MMR levels, it should state such on a message. Something like: “MMR has been disabled for this match, due to not enough players”
Better yet, bring back SWF icons to show who’s in a co-ordinated duo or 4 man.

You guys get people with less than 1000 hours of playtime. My average opponent is usually around 2.5 k hours. Not that I care.
I get 5k hour survivors sometimes with my nurse. Doesn’t make it easier for an OP killer.
I feel your pain.

We all hate it.
I use it on solo survivor due to knowing how unnecessarily powerful it is - even in solo q.
It’s a big problem for killers to provide map/gen pressure. And the good old hit and run a survivor no longer exists.
The twins has had the full brunt of this unfortunately as you’re probably aware.
Plague is a good choice to run right now, if CoH gets too overwhelming.

It's hilarious when her 2nd blink was delayed, and I was constantly failing chases due to it, not knowing there was a bug (as it's so difficult to notice), I thought my muscle memory was way off!
But yes, she's much better now. Love our Sally! <3

I know 90% of players LOVE Dead Hard, but it's a huge problem and a (cheap) 2nd chance perk. It's super powerful for loops. Can't it be nerfed a little? Extend the cooldown? Keep the cooldown after being unhooked?
-
I main Nurse and I have to state that I prefer playing in RPG with Nurse as it's harder for survivors to know where you're going to blink, and it's easier to apply gen/map pressure.
In Eyrie of Crows, it's very difficult due to survivors always having line of sight of the killer, and not feeling as pressured to get generators completed.
It's also a bland map and boring to look at. It would be cool to have some rain or something, to give it an ominous supernatural feel.
If you're Hag or Trapper on Eyrie... your place will be in heaven.

Pinhead for sure. When trying to solve the box, chains will rapidly attach to you, stopping you from solving it. It feels like this is completely RNG related, sometimes the chains take a while to target you, other times it's constant, and when time is tight, it's annoying for the chains to steal that precious few seconds you need to avoid your teammate from getting downed.

Got this in RPD of all maps :)

Stuck grabbing a survivor off a gen in RPD

Sumtime ur blinks gets blocked by survivor coilison if u didnt know
Yeah, I was aware but its been significantly worse. Even when trying to take down a looper, the tight loops are non-traversable from a short blink (dead blink)

So, I posted to the community asking why my muscle memory had been struggling on our beloved Sally. Low and behold, we’re all having the same issues with her 2nd blink - or dead blinks I like to call them.
Its been an eye opening yet painful experience trying to loop down a survivor around a small obstacle, trying to tap-blink through, only to be stuck in place.
Think it’s safe to say that we should avoid Lery’s at all costs.
I really thought I sucked with my Nurse, and I still probably do - but i’m glad there’s an excuse for my poor chases and blink plays around tiny rocks.
