No it should not, 1v4 queues for killers are borderline 10 minutes and the average match lenght is around 7-10 minutes. this means as killer ur match can be shorter then ur queues
2v8 also are too limitied, no perks, 90% of the killers are not playable (and some of them will never be playable on it)
1v4 matchmaking is also tanked cause tell me why I am getting survivors with 300 hours in my lobbies when the killer has 5k
Also the class system is boring, its the same exact skills, no perks or build variety.
Also overall the gameplay flow is awful, survivors can sprint burst on command, drop 30 pallets next to eachother and have someone rebuild them, 0 macro or brain power requiered
The only players who want 2v8 to be permanent are those who want the game to play for them. Also if 2v8 was permanent what would happend with the other modes? would default 1v4 be removed anytime something like chaos shuffle or holiday event gets added into the rotation?

dont overcommit on the first chase
find the survivors doing gens
target switch, interrupt those who co-op
perks like discordance and corrupt exist, use those if u have to

I lost so many games in soloq cause of scared distortion players refusing to do anything, ever since distortion got changed I noticed a lot more players adapted and overcame their fear of getting chased, while yes they are more then not holding W with lithe + windows. I rather have those players then ever deal with selfish stealth players ever again. I would be fine with these distortion changes ONLY if it was capped on one token

they were never in-date in the first place. the crazy lenght and effort u have to do well on those killers vs higher tier survs compared to S tier killers with hyper mobility is insane day and night difference

It maybe a unpopular opinion, but I do love the RPD map. Not only because the franchise, but also how they made the layout of it. As a Resident Evil veteran I visited the RPD in those games so many times, I feel at home in DBD RPD. Despite the numerous versions and blocked map parts, I never get lost there. I just get into a room and I am 100% sure what a room is next to it and how to get to point Y. No other game with a collaboration gave me such a experience with a map.😮
But to be fair it is also the map where I see killers quit the match most time.
Please bring back map offerings to their old values
I also do agree. People complain so much on the "bad map rng" and repeating maps, I can't understand why there are ways to avoid it, but they are nerf😐️
the issue is not the map navigation its just how poorly balanced it is
killer POV:
You have 1 god pallet in main area at the stairs
you have 1 god pallet in leons birthday room
you have 1 safe pallet in the outdoor back area near the locker room
you have 1 god pallet upstairs near the statue room
you have 1 safe pallet in the room next to it
you have 2 semi-safe pallets on the helipad with another safe pallet near the hole in the wall
you have 1 safe pallet inside the hallway next to the stairs leading to the heli pad
you have 1 potential god pallet that can spawn in the far right hallway, showers or the room next to it
If u have play a low mobility killer it take ages to go from west to east and vice versa, gens are awkward as hell to patrol around with all the verticallity
Survivor POV:
the killer can lock down one area and hold its 4-3 gen without ever going to the other side of the map
if a team8s is hooked on one of the hallway corner the killer can proxy it without an issue and force trades or just bodyblock it and deny the unhook fully
right side basement is almost a death sentence to get hooked on, left side is also a pretty free proxy for the killer
vertical terror radius is obnoxious as hell to deal with without comms similar to midwhich u cant tell if his below u or next to you unless u have some sort of audio hint like loud footsteps, ability going off etc

It's due to the fact that Maps are selected by Realm first, then map:
Maps like Dead Dawg, Springwood, and Gideon only have one map in the realm, so they're at a 4.55% chance.
However, Realms with multiple maps have their individual map chances weighted lower, as they have more maps per realm.
According to these numbers, you're actually MORE likely to go to Coldwind, Macmillan or Autohaven than any of the one-map realms (5 x 1.37% = 6.85%), but this is probably slightly offset to be more equal due to realm repeat prevention existing.
The only weird oddity here is that Dead Sands is actually less likely to show up when Boneyard is selected. Probably because that map was a bandaid solution to complaints about Eyrie.
just remove it so it only decides the map or add map voting to the game idfk. Its such a bad system with it how it works rn. maps shouldnt be decreased or increased simply cause of the realm they in.

we were just doing fine when there was no basekit BT, anti camp meter, or suggested anti slug and anti tunnel mechanics. why this sudden uproar of survivors needing 1000 things in their basekit to play the match, tunneling, slugging, camping has always existed but that never made me quit the game

your first scenario is tunneling though. This is how you tunnel 2 survivors at the same time. Player c and d exist and you opted not to target them at all, you focused your attention on player a as soon as you could again.
so now tunneling means chasing 2 different players aka half the team?

Scenario one is still definitely tunneling..I mean the killer doesn't need to twidle his thumbs in a corner to have it count as tunneling.. further more you blame the survivor for your action aka choosing to run back to that hook to find them.
Scenario 2: I think would have just been the new meta of the update went live. And wouldn't have seen that being a problem especially if they lowered the hook count to 5. But no adjusting took place just axing the system to stop the out cry.
Scenario 3: this seems like a game where the killer was playing casually and decided to hit the ez win button because maybe they got tea bagged or getting pressured by gens. That's the issue is the killer can basically turn a game into a pretty unwinnable scenario just but taking the easy way something the other side doesn't have an option for.
I don't have a problem with tunneling its the absolute no questions asked easiest way to secure a win for the killer. It's obvious and mathematically the smart move.. while it's super unhealthy for the game playing by a code of honor in a pvp is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Behavior claims them don't like the current meta. They don't like survivors getting kicked out of matches early they spent months if not longer in dev time and costs to make this update. Claimed they would tweak it as needed if it effected the killer role negatively on mass and then axe it in 3 days.
No tweaks no adjustments barely any testing because they also added it to a PTB that had 90 different changes. And this isn't something the PTB should be testing it needs to go live and see true numbers only the most die hard fans bother with the PTB a VERY bad group to balance things around.
What is your definition of tunneling?

you understand if these changes went through you would only get nurse, blight, billy, ghouls in your match cause they are the only ones who would be able to consistently keep up with all of it right? even if u nerfed the numbers or did tweaks on it. no one would even think for a sec playing someone like Pig, sadako, bubba cause it would just be a huge miserable handicap
as someone who love playing both roles equally, my option would either play soloq surv vs a meta Nurse or play the Meta nurse myself if this patch went through
