Are they going to nerf Judgment into the ground, just like Krasue?

Well, having played The Judgment for over 20 hours now, I’ve developed some serious concerns about the Killer—and I’m certainly not the only one. He was one way on the PTB, then got nerfed a bit and released in a weak state that only dominated low-MMR matches. Then came the first and second sets of patch notes. The second set was actually somewhat justified; that 0.3-second delay outside of Rites of Judgment was exactly what was needed from the start—it encourages active gameplay and close-range chases, making things more fun for Survivors. But then they bumped that delay to 0.8 seconds instead of 0.6, and that ruined everything. I still feel like I’ve only partially mastered The Judgment, but thanks to that 0.8-second delay, the outcome now hinges entirely on my own mistakes. Right now, The Judgment is an incredibly strong killer—basically the new Nurse, but with the added ability to ignore second-chance perks. Honestly, I’m scared—scared of what the future holds for this killer. I realize hardly anyone plays him, but I’ve noticed survivors frequently disconnecting without even trying to play the match. I saw some datamined info revealing code for a "blind" mechanic that triggers while the killer is controlling the beam. That’s insane. It’ll kill the character; even Krasue pick rate will look good by comparison. Everyone will switch to tedious totem builds, and survivors will start quitting matches in droves—it’ll be just like the Skull Merchant era with 30-to-40-minute games where the only real strategy is holding a three-gen. I HOPE BHVR doesn't do that. They could give the survivors an audio cue or a dramatic warning, or just leave it alone entirely. It would be incredibly easy to render this killer completely useless.

  • She is nothing like nurse or blight, not even stronger than hillbilly or Dracula.

The bypassing hook perks goes both ways so she gets can't use the best killer perks like pain res or pop and bhvr added a system that makes the survivor spawn at least 32 meters away from the exile so the judgement can't tunnel them instantly so anti-tunneling perks are not needed as much.

She is also very hard to use and struggles a lot in chase.

  • she’s gambling simulator like Henry. While her power design “has potential” to hit everything no matter what this is something that requires both sides to do a guess that results in a hit. Even best Henry player still relies on people running into his vine attacks. Sniping Judgment is only good against lower mmr even with aura perks. In high mmr there shouldn’t be high winrate on her unless survivors make insane mistakes such as double heals, doubling gens, ignoring aura perks, not paying attention to beam.

  • with all intents and purposes, i don't mean to be inflammatory when i say that it feels like this post was written by ai, but i don't trust that this post was made in good faith either. however, for the sake of discussion i'll say my piece.

the notion that judgement is going to be nerfed feels a little too unjust for what the character is actually designed to do. judgement's whole kit is designed around applying pressure by threatening and forcing the survivor to take risks. this continues to be the case even with the recent adjustments to their non-exile mechanics. a small increase in being able to curve the power to increase the threat potential is not going to suddenly make them extremely overpowered because you are not intended to hit everything all the time.

furthermore, removing aura reading is not going to gut the killer because you still have access to killer instinct, HUD information, and information given to you based on what's going on in the map (crows, sounds, blood and scratch marks). any killer worth their salt should be able to adapt and predict what a survivor may do, or where they may be, if they're paying attention. the over-reliance on aura reading ends up being a crutch for actual game sense, which is not too difficult to develop if you take the time to learn and think about why you or another player might do something.

Unfortunately only a tiny percentage of players are in high MMR and the rest have to suffer. Is that healthy for the game?

There are multiple noob stomper killers in the game. I don't see how judgement is any worse than the others. Especially since you can just use eyes to dodge her giant lazor beams

even mid mmr should be easy against judgment.

You can say this all you want but the reality is that Judgment was a mistake to bring to the game, has very little counterplay, is boring to go against and has already been buffed to the point that even a Ghoul player looks like a brain surgeon using their power.
