Well, can we get a fix on all PC crashes already?

Picture says it all… no voluntary DC, just playing whenever the timer resets and crashing after 1 or 2 matches. It's been over 3 days since the game constantly crashes every other match. The issue seems to be with PC players, mostly on Epic Games.

    is it really a general problem for Epic Players and Not possibly on your end?

    First mention of this i am seeing..


    I would recommend asking their customer support and also attaching logs though and if it’s really a general acknowledged problem they might at least deactivate the DC penalty as long as its not fixed

    I've been having the exact same problem since the latest update. Sometimes I can't even finish a single match because the game keeps crashing. I've been constantly checking the forums, and Reddit is full of people reporting the same issue. So far, I've only seen one developer comment saying that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

    This has been happening ever since the latest patch, and it's getting really frustrating. I've stopped launching the game altogether until they fix it.

    There have been a lot more crashes. I fortunately only had 1 so far but i've seen a lot teammates or killers crash. Nice

    The game is basically unplayable for me. In the last 2 days I've gotten a 1 hour DC penalty, 3 30 minute penalties, and 2 15 minute penalties if I recall correctly. I believe I've gotten something like 9 crashes in total in just 2 days of playing. At this rate if I keep trying to play I'm going to end up with several day or even week+ long matchmaking ban. I just want to play the new chapter. Either the penalty needs to be kill switched or there needs to be an immediate hot fix for this crash

    well then i would expect BHVR should already know about this and my Customer Support advice would not be needed.. sometimes they react slowly but appropriate would be BP compensation, DC Penalty deactivation and a ‘thank you for your unstanding’-‘apology’. At least thats what i think would be their response in the past for such issues

    It's not just PC.

    I'm mostly play on Series X (I play on my partner's PC for PTB purposes) and since the latest patch I've gotten sudden crashes, more often while playing as Killer for some reason.

    I've always hated the change they made to how DC penalties work due to how the game was already more prone to crashes than many games (or cheaters that are literally capable of crashing the server at-will) and just yesterday I got my first unjustified DC penalty after a few crash-to-dashboard. During a Judgement game (going for achievements/quests then no longer dealing with barf-inducing spins again) I just rolled my eyes after the crash and decided to switch to Survivor after a few hours of break... and when I pressed ready after logging back on I got the matchmaking ban notification which doesn't go down until you press ready.

    Yeah I'm not touching Killer until that nonsense is fixed somehow. It takes 20 games to go back one "Milestone" of penalty, and after a day of work, I don't have the patience or time to wait for no justifiable reason after a random crash within 20 games that creates increasingly longer bans that don't reset by just not playing.
