Three Ideas For Rampage
In my opinion, Rampage is far and away Jason's weakest perk, but I also don't think it'd be that difficult to fix it. I've got three ideas, two of which are buffs to its current effect and one of which is a full rework for reasons I'll get into further down.
- Idea one: Double token gain per pallet break
This one's pretty simple, because the main issue this perk has is just that it scales way too slowly for a perk that also only counters a survivor action. Doubled token gain means you hit the reasonable break points for value much quicker while retaining the perk's current shape.
- Idea two: Start at 8% Haste, gain tokens up to five via pallet break to increase it to 13%
Similar to the above, but letting the perk start with a noticeable Haste effect from the jump. Again, it operates based on survivor actions, so it's allowed to be pretty good— survivors can avoid it triggering at all.
- Idea three: Full rework. After being successfully pallet-stunned or blinded, Rampage activates for X seconds. while Rampage is active, gain X% decreased basic attack cooldown, increased basic break speed, and increased basic vault speed.
The thing about Rampage is that it's vying to be a sidegrade to a perk that people already don't really want to use despite it being perfectly okay. This rework preserves the idea of the survivor action triggering the berserker rampage, but reworks what you get to make it more the "ultra m1 killer" mode. It's kinda funny this version of the perk would be even less useful for Jason himself, but sometimes that's how it is with teachable perks.
No numbers pitched, they'd need to be tested.
Those are my ideas, and personally I'd use any version of the perk pitched there. I'd like to see this perk improved, I like anti-flashlight tools that are more interesting than Lightborn.

All it needs is to gain tokens on special breaks to be decent. That, scared to death and game afoot are worthless not working on special breaks.
Hard disagree. I really don't think killers with special breaks are the ones who need this kind of effect, it's better to lean into what it does right now in boosting killers who just have to deal with pallets.
This goes triple for Scared To Death, that perk just needs a bit of a range increase and it's fine but it definitely isn't an effect special break killers should have.
The way I see, m1 basic-break-only killers aren't going to use this perk anyway. Enduring spirit fury will always be more practical. If you over buff it, it will feel brainless to play against. The only killers that would get any fun synergy out of it are special breakers
Well, the full rework I suggested would fix that, at least. I still don't think it'd be healthy to give this effect to special break killers.
I like it as it is for full flashlight squads, I got it in Gideons once and I was zooming toward the end.
I've been saying it recently but it's been making me reconsider Shadowborns usefulness
but I suppose it being gained faster couldn't hurt to test. it procs off of blastmine and also flashlight saves, so it can really come in clutch.
I agree that it needs to ramp up faster. Though I think it is actually better than Scared to Death so it's not Jason's worst perk imo, but either way it could still use a bit of a boost
