The trailer ended with 'DBD X Jason' so I guess they only acquired the rights to the character itself, just like Ghostface that's the possibility that comes to mind. I don't know exactly how it's going to work out, but I would love to see Tommy Jarvis and the Camp Crystal Lake map.

Eric Pope said on Twitter that we should "Stay tuned". So MAYBE there will be a Map which is TOTALLY not Crystal Lake and the original Survivor Jommy Tarvis or so.
But yeah, when it comes to the license itself, it is only Jason, not Friday the 13th. So it is very likely that we will not see Tommy Jarvis or Camp Crystal Lake in the game.
I'm a little disappointed, I'm hoping we at least get a map. The queue times are going to be horrendous, I can see Survivor queue getting 100x and it's still not being enough. I also hope Jason gets a cool code name, like The Revenant but he'll probably be The Jason.
Doesn't Jason Universe own more than just mask for Jason? I think they have rights for most of the Friday the 13th movies except Jason X and first part?
Jason Universe owns Movies 1-8, and the Friday the 13th Videogame. They do not own the name "Friday the 13th" nor 9, X, Freddy vs Jason, and Reboot. Jason Universe owns the character "Tommy Jarvis" but does not own the likeness to the one in the movie. All this to say i'd expect no survivors but I would expect a "Crystal Lake" map. Because of a loophole with owning Friday the 13th The Game they also own the rights to every look in that game so can still probably bring in a part 9, and Uber Jason cosmetic. This is why Neca figures of Savini, Part 9 are coming out under the name "Friday the 13th The Game" emphasis on the part "The Game"
If it is not "The Shed" I will be disappointed! hahah
lol it looks like it will be The Slasher, which I thought was a good choice for GF but also Jason. It did seem too generic.
