Playing any killer other than Nurse is just suffering simulator

So, I've been playing only Nurse for quite some time, and things were going fine. Sometimes I win, sometimes not so much, overall the game felt balanced. But then I decided to have some variety and try Blight.

And boy oh boy

Boy oh boy

Oooh boooooy

It's a nightmare. Pallet after pallet, stun after stun, constant indoor maps where his power is even less usable than Nurse's, his power only hits one time out of ten attempts, teabaggings, teabaggings all the time! I don't remember the last time I was teabagged as the Nurse, but now it's just granted, at every pallet, after every lose at the gates, it's like I'm not the killer anymore but some kind of party entertainer! And of course I can forget about wins, I can barely tear out a 4k with tooth and nail, and only when I manage to tunnel the first guy out. Out of the last 5 games I only won once, and that was thanks to tunneling.

Judging by how MMR works, I should be at the baby bracket of MMR, since I haven't touched Blight for ages. And this is the experience I get. Considering the Blight is the strongest non-Nurse killer in the game, I can only imagine what kind of hell other killers have to suffer through. Now I don't even know what I will do after they inevitably nerf the Nurse by content creators' recent requests, I can't imagine myself playing any other killer like this! I guess after the Nurse nerf I will have no choice but to quit for good, since playing soloQ survivor is even worse. Are there even any plans to substantially buff killers across the board?

  • It sounds like you've learned how to play Nurse, and neglected the fundamentals of any other regular killer. Of course you're going to be doing a lot worse than with her, since she plays incredibly differently.

The killer specific MMR is only a minor difference, since most killers have transferrable fundamentals, they're not going to put you against new players for picking a less-played killer. However, in your case, you haven't built up those skills, so it's going to feel like whiplash.

My advice, keep at it, but try not to care too much about winning or losing initially. It'll be a nightmare for a while, but your skill will develop and your MMR will end up in a more fair position.

Learning the killer fundamentals will open up the other 40 killers in the game, and there's a lot of fun to be had there. You'll be much better off in the long run if you don't put all your eggs in one floating basket.

  • Blight is comparable to nurse, when mastered.

Doesn't seem like it, yesterday I had a game against a survivor who had 8 hours in the game. Didn't seem like they were in SWF. So I actually get matched with fresh-new baby survivors, who somehow know how to rush gens and juke Blight (not that one specifically, but others in the same queue, i.e. in the same MMR bracket).

That sounds more like a backfilling issue I'd say. I imagine that lobby had survs in and out a few times, and after some waiting the system just grabbed someone and threw them in.
