Exclusive item for chests
What do you think about having an item that you can only find in chests? Personally, I was thinking of something like using a syringe (the animation already exists) that has the same effect as the syringes in med-kit, which would have a considerable chance of being found in chests, something like 33% or a guarantee that at least 1 chest has this item.
I believe it is balanced because the time it would take a survivor to search for a chest and find it is longer than simply healing themselves, and it also encourages survivors to do secondary objectives that many killers ask for.
Perhaps making perks interact with this mechanic, such as pharmacy or Plunderer's Instinct, could increase their choice rate and make them more fun.
What do you think of this idea? Would you change anything?

I do agree chests... Need a reason to open them. But I'm not sure about them adding syringes to it
I want this kind of thing to exist.
I was thinking more along the lines of stronger versions of existing items, that can only be found in the trial.
Also, Plunderer's effect of increasing the rarity of items in chests should be basekit.
Why should it be basekit? You want the buff it gives equip the perks to do so
So you say we should keep the chests worthless and instead commit 1/4 of your build to just get a not awful item for doing something that most people see as actively throwing the game.
Chests give nothing of value 9/10 times you open them. You actively WASTE time on them. The least you'd want from them is something usable, would you not?
yeah but at the same time if you can search chest dramaturgy is just a better alternative tbh
