The expectations of certain players are just super ridicolous

I never played another game where so many players, be it survivor or killer, have so many expectations towards either their teammates or the other side. Some examples I encountered just the last couple of days:

-Bill on Ormont with Boil over, unbreakable, Frip Frop, Power Struggle. I noticed when hooking him before that he had boil over so I was guessing this was his build, since its pretty popular right now. Hes the last one alive lying beneath a pallet, his unbreakable already wasted. I went around for a bit and couldnt find hatch. Since I knew he had power struggle, I didnt pick him up but let him bleed out. ⇒ Results: A lengthy essay on why Im not allowed to do that, held him hostage and report in endgame chat

Meg with no mither, that I downed and hooked 3 times (not tunneling) ⇒ Result: Lengthy complaint in endgame chat that I didnt let her use her build by hooking her immdiately and not slugging and report.

Ghostface with Devour Hope, had had already 5 stacks when i found his totem and cleansed it, which resulted in him not being able to mori the survivor he was chasing ⇒ Result: Getting facecamped through anticamp, lengthy complaint with a lot of insults in endgame chat why that ruined his archive challenge and 3 different comments with insults on my profile.

Claudette on Yamaoka. Literary just switches lockers the entire game, waiting for hatch. Killer has already sacrificed our other 2 teammates, she has an endgame build with Left behind, Sole Survivor, low profile etc. Killer was chasing me and refused to down me, which led to me just standing there and doing nothing. He then went around searching for claudette and finally found her in basement locker (without me pointing out where she was) then hooked her and me afterwards ⇒ Result: Lengthy complaint by claudette in endgame chat, that I should have just been so annoying by jumping in and out of lockers, throwing pallets etc. that the killer is forced to hook me and that I am reported for teaming.

I could continue the list even further but just picked out the most prominent examples of the last 2-3 days.

Something a lot of people apparently dont understand in DBD is that the other side or your teammtes are not responsible to make your builds work but YOU are. Dont expect anyone but yourself to play according to how you want or need it for that match and most importantly, dont get mad, blame and report everyone just cause they didnt do what you want or needed for your build.

  • These are fine examples. The only kind here I've not experienced myself is the killer complaining he got robbed of his mori.

I'm almost certain there are way more (not too bright) kids (because I can't imagine they are adults) playing this game than we would expect.

You don't even have to look at your games. Just read the outrageous claims you can read right on these forums.

It's like they don't know we play the same game and can't see right though the "untruths" (to be nice) and exaggerations.

On the end-game-chat side I've been lucky these past few months. Bar an horrible game night where I had salt and insults after insults, my lobbies are pretty wholesome or at the very least uneventful.

    Recent example:

I was playing a Billy for the first time in months (daily) and didn't even look at my build. All I needed was a few chainsaw downs: I didn't really plan to win, but win I did.

Long story short I closed the hatch and found the last survivor. Trying to let him go, I carried him to the door. I was probably as surprised as him when I saw the door opening mechanism being blocked for way more time than was left. I felt truly sorry for that.

I was expecting some salt but instead I got a "nicely played" after that pretty cruel, if totally unplanned, ending.

  • It’s only going to get worse when FNAF attracts its playerbase to Dbd

  • I can’t stand people that do that left behind build that perk should get another rework because all it does is promote the most boring survivor playstyle in the game

Oh dear. You are probably right.

  • The weekend is not the best time to play this game, especially Sunday evening. It feels like that's the time kids who are tired and do not want to go to school tomorrow have their hissy fit online. Haven't been on a Sunday for a decent while, but did it this evening and probably should've waited until tomorrow, when emotionally stable people return.

Sorry to hear you had those idiots to deal with. Hope your week starts off on a much better note.
