Is it me, or was there an update to the MMR or something

I know I know, solo queue is awful - but it's usually manageable. I feel like I'm pretty good at looping. Been having a lot of Billy games and I've been able to dodge and mind game to not go down right away. However, my other teammates that I loaded into, they will go down within seconds and while I'm being chased for awhile - I will notice maybe one person working on a gen while the other two show they are doing nothing.

Then when I'm finally downed and get picked up, I notice the survivors doing nothing are just hiding in a corner somewhere like they are scared or I don't see them because they are in a locker. I don't remember it ever being THIS bad where it's 90 percent of games I load into solos are like this. Before I would maybe get a game like this once in one play session, but pretty much every game? Like, what is going on? Is anyone else noticing this? Did they make a change to the MMR or something? Right now playing survivor by myself is unplayable.

  • I swear bots act like better human players. The survivors right now are acting super weird.

I had a Kate not go for an unhook when I was right by the exit gate, which was opened, against a Demogorgon who was chasing an Ada nearby and just stared at me from like 10m and then said sorry in the EGC after leaving since Ada got knocked and Demo flushed her out.

a certain new perk combo has just completely crushed alot of solo survivors will to even bother. Alot of them are literally just trying to outlive each other and go for hatch or a sneaky exit gate open now lol

I’m tryna just do my challenges and wait

to next section to open if I can’t SWF with my friends. It’s completely unplayable atm to solo

Something strange is going on, I've seen it since about two weeks ago as both Killer and Survivor.

I just played a match as Freddy (My Main Killer) against 4 brand new Survivors.

Two of them were participating and two were screwing around the entire time, dropping pallets when I was nowhere around, constantly crouching and pointing at each other, not running away from me.

I killed the two jokers and let the other two go because I felt so bad that they were doing all the work and got stuck with such horrendous teammates.

    EDIT:

Also, the number of Survivors DCing when they realize I have lightborn is wild.

Tonight I had a Thalita DC after she tried to blind me and she was the player who brought the Bloody Partystreamer! Unbelievable.

No lie. Be very wary if a SoloQ teammate brings a Key πŸ”‘ to the trial.

  • I would place my bets on the archive.

I haven't looked over what the current challenges are, but the archive is typically to blame for self-sabotaging behavior.

Not this time. They actually went out of their way to avoid those types of challenges which is great! The challenges are easy for Survivors (and Killer) and just pretty much require normal gameplay for once.

You're right, they're all pretty easy. ...well sort of. I just failed to consume 1 toolbox, because I was immediately tunneled out of the game πŸ˜…πŸ˜“πŸ˜–πŸ˜

Did the Killer have Lethal Presuer? Just use a Brown Toolbox without any add-ons, nice and easy πŸ‘

  • Solo queue is just kind of in a dire spot right now. I think there's a disconnect between the intended experience and the way most players actually play and enjoy survivor.

At this point I don't think they know what to do with maps, but map balance is an issue and gen times can't keep inflating to compensate. 90 seconds+Pain Res alone is a slog, and you probably do that at least twice in a match. Throw balance out and just think about the gameplay and pacing for a second here. You can microwave a pot pie in the time it takes to do gens through some of these slowdown stacks.
