Skull Merchant: Lock On stacks should decay after a while

The stacks (up to 3) you gain as a survivor when you are scanned by a drone (Skull Merchant's special effect: Lock On) should decay after a while when you're not being scanned - just like Trickster's Laceration Meter decays.

  • There's a few changes as a SM main I could deal with to make her feel less bad to play against but this isn't one of them. They already reset when you get hooked, and this change would make getting a Claw Trap basically impossible unless they made it like 60 seconds.

So you have to die to get rid of them? That's pretty stupid thinking. If you were able to dodge the second or third stack for a while you should be rewarded for that. Or you lose a stack after disabling a drone or something like that. That would be fair.

You shouldn't get them in first place unless you are chased. Why the hell would you reward that?

It's not really hard to dodge them...

If you want to get rid of them, you can go for protection hit (so you are injured) and then trigger it on purpose.

It is hard to dodge them when you're in a chase (some Skull Merchants set a minefield of drones) or the drone is inactive and becomes active in that moment you get into it's radius so you can't dodge the scanner.

When a Trickster isn't able to down you with knives you get rewarded as well for dogding them.

Yeah that's the point, it's hard to dodge Trapper traps, Hag traps Clown Bottles etc in chase, also Drones cannot down you.

Trickster can down you at range. Over loops. Over pallet... Also really fast.

Are you really trying to compare drones with Trickster's knives? That's something completely different.

the drone is inactive and becomes active in that moment you get into it's radius

So you want to get rewarded, because you didn't see big yellow circle? Drones are not exactly hidden...

  • no way, the whole point is of skull merchant is to be hit & run trap killer. I hit people with stealth, put 2 lock-on stacks on them and then chase other people. if people that have 2 lock-on stacks go in drones, then i get speed while i chase another survivor.

skull merchant is like ghostface marking but instead of marking people to down them, it is marking people to gain haste effects.

it should be hard to dodge them if I place them correctly. that is biggest skill-ceiling for trapping killers. it is how you place traps.
