BHVR PLEASE Can you make it so people cant click on my profile through your game.
I'm just tired of harassing messages being thrown my way, constant grief, insults or people trying to poke fun just for playing your game.
It's also causing false reports to my profile which I'm having to manually deal with because members of your community seem to think that's acceptable.
This should be a quality of life extension onto the anonymous mode, being on console I cant stop messages unless I stop all communication and I shouldn't have to for 1 game not to mention the false reports can impact my profile.
This is something that needs sorting please.

Even worse is that the killer looks at your profile/game hours/friends and starts running out of the lobby like a little girl
Go to Options - Online, and under Gameplay Privacy, turn on Anonymous Mode. That way people will only see your character's name and no profile to click on.
You can’t do that on console. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure EntitySpawn is on console.
for console you can turn off messages for anyone not in your friends list though.
My profile is private to where they cant see my games, friends, recordings etc. so that's not an issue but they can still message etc. Which is where the issue lies as I play multiple multiplayer games so having communication on is a good thing for those other games just DBD seems to just be toxic harassment
Had that since it came out, people can still hover over the characters name and click and it will bring up your profile. So even with that mode on where they cant see my tag and they just see "Ada wong" for example doesnt actually stop them gaining access to my profile and sending horrible messages, harassing and false reporting because they lost or something
That's really weird, because on PC it does prevent going onto their profile.
Should be fixed then.
it hasn’t been implemented for consoles (yet) - iirc they stated they will look into this though, it sure what the current official statement is though.
No matter how you play in a video game you shouldn't get messages like this...
And not that it matters but I play pretty fair and dont do any form of BM in the game as I dont see the point. Wouldn't surprise me if you are part of the problem and think this stuff is acceptable over a game.
Yes, threats are a big problem. The problem is that the killer looks at the steam profile and insults without being punished if the survivors saw the killer profile / prestige then the killers did not behave like that because they could receive a complaint
That's not at all the reason, people are sending horrible messages because they're being entitled and getting angry over a video game not because a killer can see prestige etc. Which mean nothing.
Plus majority of messages are from survivors endgame, the above example is from a survivor WHO WAS ON MY TEAM.... like theres just no reason for it and I shouldn't be getting private messages like such, regardless of side/role
