Got about 15 games in (am home sick, ugh) and decided to start on survivor this time. I saw about 12 Pain Resonance, a good few DMS and your usual CoB, Surge etc. But zero Eruptions.
Am I just getting lucky?

Probably. I just had my first match of the day without Eruption.

When I have time to play I will equip Eruption.

I'm actually getting a feel for survivor now. Only playing solo today, and got about 8 escapes in 15 (and only 1 horrible loss, which was a Spirit hard tunneling at 5 gens, causing someone to DC).
I ran Eruption for 1 game.

And, did you let go from the gen to counter Pain Res?
I never used it much myself, prefer Jolt! I like chasing more than going around kicking gens.
On SoloQ most of my killers have been running more DMS combined with Pain Res in the last couple of days. Aside from Nurses and Blights they sure love Eruption lol.
I have a theory about Eruption being used mostly at low MMR. Because when I play solo I see it about half the time and the other 3 perks change a lot. But whenever I play with friends none of which play this game anywhere near as much as me and don't escape very often. It's Corrupt, CoB,Eruption,Pain Res every. single. game.
My theory is less skilled killers have no confidence so they take as much slowdown as possible to cover that up. Where as higher skilled killers will still take slowdown but maybe they have a 1-2 perks not slowdown related cuz they know they can get away with it.
