Killer Rank Per Killer

I think killer Rank for match making should be a combination of an overall killer Rank and each specific killer.

BHVR has said they don't think each killer should be balanced and even. If that's the case then it forces high ranking killers to play the same killer each time. It's no fun switching from a high tier killer at high ranks to a lot tier one and getting stomped.

If it was a combination of factors, then when a high rank player switches to clown, they get matched with lower rank survivors until they rank up their clown game, which let's be honest, may mean they stay solidly mid rank when playing clown.

The unfortunate side effect with this would be potentially longer queue times for high rank survivors, but maybe we would see more variety in killers played.

Just a thought. I feel like right now if I want to rank up (for good knows any honestly) as killer, I can't switch to lower tier ones for a little variety, because they just cause me to depip.

Not sure what that has to do with this...

so you're basically saying to have a fresh rank 20 killer ready at any given moment to bully less skilled players? Would you be okay with each different survivor having a different rank?

No... it's like people don't read.

Im suggesting a combination of an overall rank that goes up slower and then a killer specific rank that progresses like the current. So if you had a rank 10 nurse, your clown is likely 15. Rank 1 nurse, clown is maybe 8.

I'm not the devs, so finding specifics of the algorithm isn't my job.

But the devs have said they don't want all killers to be equally viable. If that's the case then there is currently no point in playing lower tier killers past a certain rank. That's boring and bad game design. This would give players who play a lot, yet still want competitive games, the option to play other killers and not get stomped.

As for survivors, no. They are all functionally the same. BHVR hasn't explicitly given some of them worst abilities or said they don't want all survivors to be the same.
