The hatch and dedicated servers.

So, when the ECG was introduced, if both the killer and the last survivor where standing on the hatch while it was opening, the killer would close it 100% of the time before the survivor could jump in. Meaning you did not need to slug and drag the game if you knew where the hatch was.

Now with dedicated servers, both killer and survivor act at the same time, wich mean the survivor jump into the hatch as the killer close it and escape. If a survivor found the hatch while it was closed, they can now 100% escape without any kind of risk when the the ECG trigger.

Basicly, closing the hatch is now impossible if the survivor know where it is too and is ready to jump in. Killers have to slug to secure the last sacrifice. They don't have a choice anymore, dedicated servers took that away.

Are the devs aware of this and is there any plan to fix in the near future ? Soon™ is not an acceptable anwser here.

  • I'm pretty sure you can stand on the hatch so the survivor can't jump in. Just don't close the hatch. Enjoy the "hatch standoff" as in the good old days lol The first one to leave the hatch loses.

  • The servers introduced hatch standoff2.0

  • yeah it's ridiculous, i once closed the hatch and the EGC began and the survivor had adrenaline and everything popped but he still jumped right through the closed hatch
