Simple idea to make the rift more casual-friendly while not really changing anything

Make the rebate tiers the last rewards you get. Currently there are 27 tiers in which you regain cells, 20 of these tiers offer nothing but cells. If these tiers were pushed to the very back of the rift, it would only require the people who want to regain all of their cells to complete the entire grind therefore allowing casual players a better chance of receiving all cosmetic rewards without reworking the rate at which you earn Rift Fragments. This may also increase the amount of income that the devs receive through the rift due to the fact that many players would most likely be more willing to have less of a grind but pay for each rift individually rather than buy it once and be forced to complete the grind to get all the cosmetic rewards.

  • I think one way to kill the grind a bit on the Rift would be to award one free tier in the Rift each day after you complete a daily ritual.

You performed a task, you get bloodpoints and a level in the Rift. Boom.

That cuts down the grind more by just doing what you would normally have done each day while still earning the levels by continuing to play.

That's also a good idea as the daily rituals are essentially a simpler version of rift challenges however they are limited. I'd maybe make them give 3-5 shards rather than a full tier though seeing as it could possibly make the archives redundant in getting through the rift. Honestly, anything that lessens the grind would be amazing.

  • I think this idea is good, but I would prefer the ability to complete the tracks whenever you want and switching between them. That would make it more casual-friendly too, like your suggestion, but has the benefit of enabling old tracks to come back in the future.

For more details, see my post here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/95577/battlepass-tracks-should-not-expire-once-bought-players-should-be-able-to-pick-one-as-active

    Tl;dr:

    • let players keep all purchased battlepass tracks
    • players can pick one as active, all progress goes towards the active one
    • old battlepass tracks can be sold again in the future, this lets players who didn't play the game yet when they came out to access the cosmetics and charms in it
    • this makes the battlepass more casual-friendly while still allowing Behaviour to make the same amount of money or possibly even more
