Demogorgon and Haddonfield

has anyone else noticed that this is easily one of the best maps for demogorgon in the game?

there are tons of small corridors (the fences around the houses) survivors have to walk through that allow for some very easy shred hits, he can hide his portals very well in the houses to surprise survivors on gens and we all know this pallet spot behind the car next to a house, right? yeah he makes that easily the most unsafe pallet on the entire map, so if you cornered someone there, its basically a free hit (unless you are me and just immediately charge into the car xD). also, thanks to Haddonfields small size he gets some insane map pressure going with good portals.

on top of that, balanced landing isnt too great to use against him anyway, thanks to the huge distance he gets when shredding off of high places, so if they run in a straight line, you catch up to them pretty much immediately.

PS: my last game with Demo (lvl 1, so no add ons / offerings / perks other than surge lvl 1) in rank 8 on Haddonfield ended up being a 2 pip with a 3k (one found the hatch before me), so my opinion might be a little biased thanks to that right now xD

so how do you see this?

do you think Haddonfield is actually a good map to get for Demogorgon, or would you still consider it to be the worst / one of the worst maps to get on him?

id like to hear your opinions ^^

may we meet in the fog!

  • I agree. The one time a Gorgon stealthily snuck up on me it was when he placed the portal on the balcony of the house. I was doing a gen inside the house and keeping my eye on the stairs. When I heard his tuba chase music I kept an eye on the stairs but he blindsided me by appearing behind me from the balcony.

  • Basically this map is the worst for every killer, except the Nurse XD So no, I don't think he will be good on this map... Thanks Strode's house builded in infinite.

Ironically while being one of the worst killers in the game, the Trapper does good on Haddonfield with a good trap setup.

  • Yeah he's one of the few killers besides nurse and spirit that can be very viable on this map. Trapper with a lucky totem spawn on the decks with only a window access for the impossible devour hope cleanse, and possibly hag/Freddy are sort of the only others who can kind of ignore this map.

Ah yes good point, I forget about that...

yeah, that thing is really strong xD

though, as i mentioned above you can use your shred to rigther get a hit or reduce their looping potential, IF they decide to loop it.

if i am not mistaken, players will usually go on the balcony over the main entrance and then drop down, running alongside the building towards the backdoor to to get back inside and up the stairs. if you charge your shred and then unleash it the second you turn around the corner after falling off the balcony, i think you could get a hit on them or make quite some distance.

if they jump down the balcony and immediately run inside the building from the main door, shred up the stairs and hug them!

this may not work, but i think it may have potential... i'd have to try that though xD

and never forget: always give them hugs!

cause demo is such a good boi :3

EDIT: grammar. cause my english is 11/10 right now xD

  • oopsies, double post xD

  • While Haddonfield is definitely survivor-sided there's a lot of drama here and killers are overestimating survivor skills on this map.

If Haddonfield were as broken as people say this map would have a 100% escape rate.

In the end it still comes down to skill and while really good survivors can really give killers a bad time on this map in practice for most people this map isn't that bad and lots of killers can do well on it.

That could be hard to do since Strode's house is really specific.. with balanced landing and the fact that sometimes when you jump it ''push you away''

If the window next to the basement is not open, then yeah the second strategy will work.

    i mean...

its not impossible to kill survivors, but it still is the most unbalanced map...

and the wrong killer will have a very hard time on this map, sadly :/

Freddy can be very good, especially with a good DH totem spawn. Makes it really hard for survivors to cleanse, and you can chase them easily.

True that. His snares can make some of the loops very bearable.
