Is there a difference between lag switching and just bad wifi

I get messages saying i need to stop lag switching but my wifi is just really bad sometimes.

    If your problems are that bad you shouldn't play killer until dedicated servers. You have a massive unfair advantage.

    i understand what you are saying but most of the time my wifi is good but i will get that odd games when my wifi is just bad

    If they are lag switching your game will basically freeze for 4-5 seconds and the killer will be free to move in that amount of time. That also happens to everyone in the game at the same time.

    Lag switching and lagging are very different things. When someone lag switches, everyone's game will freeze and the killer can do as he pleases. When it comes back, you'll be down getting picked up or something that's complete bs.

    It's fusturating they took 2-3 years over 200 million in to think about dedicated servers. If the players were smart they would have never started the game in your lobby and left. So tell them there mehuhhhhh

    I have the same problem i have fiber and My speed is 100/10

    some days My internet are Really good.

    but most of the time My internet jumps down from 100/10 to like 40/10 and Sometime like 3/10 if its Really bad and then other people get bad commection to me. I usually end up dc myself cause bad connection and no point of playing

    also there is this weird thing if someone uses the microwave My fiber connection goes to even worse Almost dies for a a bit.

    As survivor I tend to play with relatively high ping, and I can assure you that normal lag is way different than lag switching. If you're not doing it and people accuse you of that, they don't know the difference or they're just butthurt and trying to get an excuse.

    Ping indicator doesn't mean anything.

    What's to stop me as killer, from me and you having 30 ping to each other, and then my net starts being #########, and suddenly that 30 ping turns into 700 ping?

    Guess you should have never started the game in my lobby and left. Mehuhhhhh.
