Changing Aura Colors

Is allowing us to give Auras our own preferred color REALLY gamebreaking?

This is a faint memory and might even not be accurate, but i remember one of them saying during a developer stream that if we could set the Aura to the brightest setting we could make it so we always see it as clear as possible.

And i'm just like: Isn't that the point of them?

Again, it sounds stupid, so it might be a fake memory.

Anyway, allowing us to give Auras our own colors isn't gamebreaking at all, we can choose those we think are pleasing to the eye, or those that alert our eyes that something's going on, but most of all, you'd make EVERY colorblind person happy and encourage more of them to continue playing or even join as a new Fog member!

Are there any negatives to doing this besides confusing yourself with your own Aura color selection the first few matches?

Cause i can't think of any others than that one.

  • I don't know why bhvr doesn't allow us to change those minor simple things which aren't giving an advantage to anyone but only helps people who are colourblind.

Is BHVR lazy? To busy? Do they think we are just sheeps and should just keep quite and follow completely braindead and that we couldn't handle "complex" settings? I have no clue, but whatever it is I'm very sure that bhvr has no legit reason to justify the missing of settings like this mentioned.

  • The only thing I see about this with effecting gameplay is the ability to hide your aura behind the aura of a gen, due to the colors being similar. Can't do that if your aura is purple while the gen's is still red. Other than that though, would be a cool thing to add to the options menu. Maybe add a whole screen for different aura colors for gen's, killers, fellow survivors, so on so forth.

Well it is the Survivor's aura, but the Killer is the one who sees it, hence the Killer is the one in control of the Survivor aura.

EDIT: Well, not completely in control either.

Survivors control their auras when it involves their own abilities, like Bond & Empathy, but Killers control the colors of their abilities, like Bitter Murmur & Barbecue & Chili.

  • Colorblind threads here, on steam and reddit have talked about this for a long time now.

At this point, seeing no action, I'd say they don't care about it.

But here, take a red pallet stun vfx that no one ever asked.

Yeah, i too started suggesting it about a year ago.

    Not actively, but still.
