Why do I depip if the killer leaves mid-match?

Like what the hell? Why does the game still have problems like this? Obviously the killer should only depip while the survivor suffer no penalty. Simple problems like this should've already been fixed.

    It's a bug. Dedicated servers will fix it, so we'll just have to grit our teeth and bear it for now.

    It's literally the same the other way around.

    Survivors DC killer can de-pip.
