Idea that might improve Corrupt Intervention

As of right now, all this really seems to do is give killers a smaller area to patrol for 2 minutes while survivors just wait for the other gens to open up since that's safer than going inside the killer patrol area.

What if instead of a time limit, the generators stayed blocked off until an open generator was done and then Corrupt Intervention wears off. And for each totem you disable (both dull and hex), a single blocked generator is unblocked while the perk is still active.

The new gameplay style against it would be to see if you can work on an open gen safely or go find totems to get rid of until you can find a safe gen.

Then I would say 5 gens need to be blocked. One per totem. 3 gens, not close together, stay unblocked until your requirements are met. Survivors see the aura of a gen being un locked for 10 seconds. Remove the gen completion requirement.

    EDIT: Typo

Just this and it would be a good perk.

It doesn't need the extra totem drawback.

Having a small patrol area garunteed for the first gen might be too powerful on some killers like Doctor.

It happens against Doctor in normal matches and is manageable, especially with 4 survivors still up. Also, Doctor is pretty close to the bottom on the tier list. I feel like he needs a lot anyway so I don't really see it as an issue.

  • Question. What would the higher tiers do?

I think it 50%/75%/100% of the gen should be completed to unlock other gens. That way it isn't too good.

Didn't think about it till now, but I guess they could determine which generators could possibly get unblocked with a hex clear. One of any of the blocked gens / one of the two closest to the killer/ the one closest to the killer.

Corrupt Intervention is perfectly fine and a favourite perk of mine. Killers forget that you get scored for how long you can keep gens from being repaired in a trial, so limiting yourself (and the survivors) to only 4 gens for a whole 2 minutes is huge. Small numbers count in this game and a smart killer can do a LOT in 2 minutes. Even if survivors choose to wait the 2 minutes out to start working on the farthest gens, that doesn’t greatly hurt the killer.

@DudeDelicious Yeah, it does actually. If you fail to hook any survivors in those first 2 minutes then you are for all intents and purposes playing a game with 3 perks. And just because survivors aren't necessarily working on generators doesn't mean they are just hiding in lockers either.

They can be clearing out all your totems during that time or opening chests. That also gives them time to spread out over the map and position near generators. Having survivors spread out over the whole map makes it very hard to push them off generators.
