Talk to me about STRIDOR: how useful/viable is this perk?

Comments

  • Like unrelenting and bloodhound, great for learning. But don't rely on it. I like it on my spirit, but I really should learn to play her without it. There is a wonderful feeling of turning round and instantly twatting someone chasing you as you are carrying someone else to the hook.

  • Its #########. Learn to play without it. The increase isn't that noticible anyway. If you want to track injured survivors easily then Bloodhound is the superior option.

  • I think it's only useful on spirit for track the survivor more easily.

  • It was good when there was no sound occlusion, but now with messed up sound its pretty much worthless.

  • Cheers boys, appreciate the comments so far xx

  • Trash cause it doesn't interact with sound properly. It'll help you find survivors from a further distance, but it doesn't help with positional accuracy.

Ex: You hear a survivor moaning LOUDLY, like they're right in front of you. In reality, because Stridor doesn't work correctly, they're likely to be 5-8 meters in front of you.

It's really dumb if you're trying to use it on Spirit, but it's good if you frequently lose injured survivors; however, I'd suggest Sloppy Butcher in this case, since there's no real counter to bleeding.

  • Paid for good headphones, got a free Stridor.

Yes, despite everyone always saying the music blasts through footstep noises, i can actually still hear them and their direction.

Technically, i could also equip Stridor to maximize the effect, but that'd like asking for a 5% buff on Overwhelming Presence.

Basically, it has a purpose i guess.

But the right headphones almost cancel its use completely.

  • you really got to get used to the perk before it actually pays off.

for me its just confusing, as i would not be able to tell how far a survivor is away from me just by the groaning and breathing.

if you got used to it, its super good for tracking though.
