My feedback on the PtB

I decided to create a video rather than write up a massive wall of text. So if you want to know my -full- thought process behind this feedback then watch this:

TL;DR

Endgame Collapse

  • I feel it doesn't provide enough pressure for Survivors, and Killers don't have the tools to use the endgame to any form of advantage. The devs put a lot of time and effort into a mechanic that needs to be more than a "don't linger and bully the killer please". Therefore the Endgame Collapse should begin when the exit gates are powered, not when an exit gate is opened

I got wind that the intention behind various endgame changes was to make sure the last survivor gets a fair chance to escape. Hence the Remember Me nerf and the faster exit gates. I believe it's still possible to give the last survivor such an advantage without butchering a normal endgame. So I propose two changes:

  1. Opening the exit gates takes 30 seconds up from 20 (because let's face it, the endgame is ######### for killers). If there is only one survivor alive, they open the exit gates at double the speed.
  2. Remember Me doesn't get nerfed. Instead, when there is one survivor left, they become the Obsession.

The Pig

  • Please undo the change to Pig's endgame. The prospect of using the RBTs with the collapse sounds like a fun, intense experience for both the killer and survivor. I want to experience it from both sides and I know a lot of other people will too.
  • The RBTs turning off inside the Pig's terror radius IS A BUFF. She can crouch to disable her terror radius anyway, and since she can see if the trap is active or not, it gives her "Whispers" on any survivor with an active trap.

The Legion

  • Deep Wound shouldn't tick down when inside Legion's terror radius. This is a necessary evil to deal with the moonwalking exploit.
  • Legion should keep bleedout time removed from FF hits. Otherwise, his power seems useless if chasing a survivor already injured.
  • Legion should keep the power cancelling from missing an attack in FF, it creates a Risk/Reward element to his power and prevents the strategy of whittling down survivors with multiple FF hits from being too overpowered
  • The default cooldown of FF should be 3 seconds, not 4. If the devs are scared of stacking cooldown addons, then nerf the addons.

Finally, Borrowed Time should no longer apply Deep Wounds and go back to what it was before Legionw as released. That way the perk won't get buffed or nerfed whenever the devs adjust Legion.

Comments

  • Great feedback! Hopefully the devs will see this, as it is honest and well-put feedback like this that should be noted for them to check on. :)

  • The endgame collapse isn't supposed to apply massive pressure on survivors. It's supposed to fix holding the game hostage. Therefore, Endgame collapse is perfect and looks awesome.

Well it succeeded. It relieved presssure on survivors. Now they have an easier time at endgame.

  • Thank you for taking my feedback with respect. I've lost all hope for a civil conversation on r/deadbydaylight

Maybe so. I'll be -okay- if the endgame isn't changed. My issue is far more leaning towards the faster exit gates opening and the completely butchering of Remember Me

Alright again for you: the job of endgame collapse was to fix survivors holding game hostage and hatch standoff. Both fixed. Therefore job done.
