Bringing Solo Survivors up to the SWF Level.

I have some suggestions for how we can buff survivors to the level of SWF groups and I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback.

  • great idea also make kindred as a base kit on survivors and it will be balanced

  • Is it a good idea to buff to SWF level? ๐Ÿค”

Killer already hate SWF every match being = to SWF wouldn't be very fun,

  • @Bbbrian2013 Here's the thing:

Right now, if killers were buffed to be able to counter SWF they would CRUSH solo survivor players. So in order to actually be able to buff killers we need to buff solo survivors first.

First, we level the survivor playing field so that survivors have a consistent power level. Then we can buff killers to match or surpass that level.

"As a balance change for the killers, all killers will get a flat speed bonus of 5% to base movement speed. So most killers will have a base speed of 120% or 4.8 m/s. The 110% killers will now move at 115% or 4.8 m/s."

@KillermainBTWm8 You've quoted me, now what?

  • As long as I get the option to disable this feature. I like not knowing what other survivors are using. And HUD is already annoying

Technically if solo survivors are close to swf, then killers can be buff. So players who mostly play killers would be more satisfied then anything.

  • solo will never be swf level. even if voice chat is added to the game, not every one will utilize it. your ideas do make solo stronger, but they'll always be inferior to a group of friends in discord who actively play together and understands each other's playstyles.

also, killer ms doesnt need to be touched. the survivor changes wouldnt matter if every killer (player) dominated in chases. not to mention how you would have basically no time to do the optional secondary objectives because your team is getting rolled. I think the ms would make survivor sweaty and killer a snoozefest, as it would be too easy to win chases

  • @artist @KillermainBTWm8 The killer movement speed being increased is to help balance out the potential situation of everyone always knowing where the killer is.

  • There should be a seperate Queue for SWF it's just that big of deal. It's actually unbelievable solo players and Squads are in the same queue for a match.

I understand the game's player base is not big enough to split the two but they had to think about it before they implemented it. Now we have to find solutions to a problem that is unsolvable. That's why there is after 3 years still no solution because the devs are unable to do anything because of the risk breaking the game balance wise.

  • Making kindred base kit, and making a built in bond for 20m (the perk makes it 60m) would suffice.

    Then buff killers.

  • was just quoting your balance change which I think is decent but it would be better to see how these changes would work and adapt (thats what a PTB is for) I am not against a killer speed buff and killers would need much needed buffs too with this

  • I'm against any passive aura reading that targets the killer. SWFs harm the game by being able to coordinate through voice communication. That's the power. You get to choose your teammates, coordinate your builds, and keep a constant flow of information at all points during the game. This has nothing to do with the killer. So why would passive aura reading against the killer be what you ask for? You'd need passive bond to see your teammates.

That's the problem with trying "Buff" solo survivors. You're playing the game correctly, the game is built for you as it is. The problem is that the game was not primarily designed with the level of coordination that SWF brings. You can't buff up to that as its not a game mechanics or stats issue. It's a mode of play issue.
