This Is Why We Need The Other Queue System
Rank 5 on the day of rank reset and literally in queue for over 1 hour... Video Proof.
Please do something and not let streamers that get to high ranks suffer because they are good at the game.

That's not the queue. Its because youre rank 5 on reset day.
Not everyone grinds out rank on reset. So you've just less people there rn. it's why I take the week before I even try to get higher rank. Just casual farming til the 20th.
Damn double post...
For a regular player that won't be an issue. What about the streamers where it is their job to play this game for a living? Marth here plays this game more as a hobby, but when this game is how you pay the bills and on rank reset day you just get to hang out in hour long queues because you played too much and are too good. Its no excuse for a system that does that.
@Zagrid But that's the risk you take when you stream a game, and it's true of a majority of high ranks in games. Hell, I also play Overwatch and Paladins, and I watch high-ranked streamers in both those games. And Overwatch has a player base that absolutely dwarfs this one.
And in the high-ranks, they can be in queue for an easy 30-40 minutes. High ranks are always a low population.
That would be fine but in DbD case its isn't an issue after 1 week or 2 after the reset. With a game like Overwatch they have a new season every like 3 months-ish? That game also has a skill cap about 1000* higher than DbD because most killer gameplay can be boiled down into chasing, looping, and hitting. A few exceptions but nothing nearly as complicated as Overwatch. The biggest issue and main point is that not only if ranks just didn't reset the issue would basically go away for streamers, the queuing system that the Devs tested and reverted also fixed this issue, it just gave a bunch of people small queue times like 3-5 min that are taken from the streamers that have to queue for over 30 min for a game.
The take away is basically that regular player complaints made the system change back and gave the streamer these horrible queue times. While I do think that from a business stance that this was the right thing to do, streamers are still suffering in higher ranks and it should be a top priority to keep streamers happy and healthy in a community like DbD, because if the streamer base started to drop off because of terrible queue times and really getting burnt out from the game, this game's player base could take a serious drop.
Really, the issue with streamers is more that if they have be playing this game for years and have over 3000 hours playing the same game, they are definitely burnt out. Even if they don't show it. "JuSt PlAy A dIfErEnT gAmE", again issue with money, this is how they make a living. If they swap games, they won't know if they will be able to pay for their house or get their next meal, since most people watch for the game, not the person. Just watch any streamer play something they don't usually play and they might get 1/5th of their normal audience and the more people usually show up, the less they will get when they swap games.
The 2 big take aways are, 1 the rank reset needs to be redone so streamers that grind to a higher rank can still play 1 week after the reset, and the game needs to have a fresh new change to bring some energy back to the streamers. A new gamemode like 2v8 or heck even some new objective so it isn't just fix 5 gens or kill 4 people for over 3000 hours.
The amazing thing is DbD has survived this long off of 1 game mode alone. Most games can't say that. However, it definitely shows in the player base and streamers that they are playing a game that fundamentally hasn't changed in 4 years.
No. Streamers should follow the same rules period. They shouldnt get an extra week for a rank that isnt really a rank.
Streamers have to play a lot, sure, but some are going so far as to purposefully DC to play. Which is sad. And it shows the GAME needs fixes. But they shouldnt get a workaround simply because they stream. If it's a big problem for them, they should be vocal about it as they have the platform to do so.
They could play the other side killer/survivor.
They could play a different gane if this one is really ina bad spot, and most of their viewers would follow for them, not dbd. Some yes, but those arent donating anyway. They're watching multiple dbd streams. If they're donating, it's because they like the person.
Not to mention you can play and NOT go try hard and NOT rank up. As the community has shown, with their post after post, its not exactly EASY to cruise to red ranks anymore.
Rank 5 on the 14th?
That's asking for slow lobbies.
@Carpemortum You are absolutely right. There are some streamers I watch purely for the game play. If they switched games, I'd no longer watch them.
Then there are streamers that I gladly subscribe to, like Krippler and Gentle_Giant over in Realm Royale. I happened to discover them via R.R., but subscribe to them because they're good people that run a good stream. Gentle_Giant is just a chill guy. Krippler is an injured New York police officer that is currently on medical leave (he starts back in several weeks, just had back surgery).
If those two switched games, I'd still watch them and hang with them when I have the time. That's why I subscribe to them: because of them, not the game. Most people I've met on Twitch who financially support a streamer are the same way.
And yet, there is not a single DbD streamer that I've felt any desire to financially support. Looking around, though, not shocking.
