New player here: Please help me with your advise against the Hillbilly

Hello guys

I am a more or less a new player, baught this game 5 Weeks ago. This season so far i already reached Rank 2 (more that happy about that) as a Survivor and it seems to be that i am doing good against most Killers with one exception: The Hillbilly

How do you play against a good (!) Hillbilly? It seems to be no matter what i do, he gets me most of the time. He is so fast, he is building up so much pressure.

I really would like to hear an advise from more experienced players.

    If you can't avoid a chase with him, try to stick close to obstacles and away from open areas or long paths. If you're on the way to a window and see him revving, try faking him out by running to the window and then to the right instead of vaulting.

    Don't run straight, Run like you're going to turn another direction or towards something so they're forced to focus their aim, and if they screw up you can 180 or 360 them. With more experience you will be able to pick up advanced ideas naturally, or you can keep asking questions and watching vids and seeing how your teammates who last longer in chases play. It is possible to keep running straight and juke him but you have to just time it right, that takes some practice and may not work if he has certain add ons

    Major weaknesses no. He sucks on some maps and if you can adjust to him specifically you can learn how to loop him well which really hinders him.

    Hillbilly's greatest weakness is looping. He can run super fast in the open, but once he's faced with a loop he's just another M1 killer.

    Classic example why the rank system is so busted, as a beginner player you shouldnt be at rank 2 already.


    We can give you some advice though. When you loop the billy, sometimes he will get greedy and assume you are throwing down the pallet and starts chainsawing up.

    If you dont panic now and instead continue to loop, he will waste a lot of time and you can loop a few more times per pallet. Also dont forget that he can turn really fast in the beginning of his charge.

    When he is close behind you and is about to hit you with the chainsaw, try 360ing (near objectts if possible)
