Julie's Mix Tape and Iri Button are some of the worst designed addons in DBD

As the title says, these addons are terribly designed. It doesn't mean it's overpowered, it's still Legion, but it is incredibly problematic. Of the two, honestly Julie's Mix Tape is worse. The game gives you one counterplay against Feral Frenzy (stunning) and Julie's Mix Tape completely eliminates it. This effect's unhealthiness is amplified by Iri Button, which in reality rewards the killer for the survivor performing the counterplay.

So the counterplay is supposed to be: if the Legion is stunned in Frenzy, they lose power and lose distance whether they break the pallet or go around it.

What the counterplay ends up doing: if the Legion is stunned in Frenzy, they gain power back immediately, lose zero distance because they are able to vault the pallet and catch up immediately, and they even get rid of a pallet along the way.

It doesn't stop there, as it gets even more unhealthy with Spirit Fury + Enduring, as the killer gets even more easily rewarded for getting stunned. These addons and these perks promote an extremely unhealthy, mindless playstyle that is not only unfun but promotes zero skill expression, and I really hope they get reworked in the future.

  • they are fine, popular and fun. Make Legion more than just m1 killer with no power after free injury. You can play around those add ons pretty easily.

  • Actually, I agree with this, especially Julie's. It's so brain-off that I really wish it'd be reworked. It could still have something to do with stuns, like a shorter stun duration while in Frenzy, but anything would be better than what it is now.

Iri Button could be reworked to be similar to one of Wesker's addons (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) where you trade pallet vaulting for breaking. Or just giving it a downside to balance it out, either way is probably all that addon needs.

  • pre-drop and spam vaults to force them to either hit you and leave or end power and chase normally

pre-dropping also counters spirit fury enduring, to the point some legion's get desperate and start swinging at every pallet just to get stunned which you can predict and greed the pallet to counter

not 100% reliable but it's something you can do to make their job harder

  • i mean legion basically has no power anyways . Will always be a bottom D tier unless they get a completelly new power.

I think the main issues with the power are that a lot of survivors don't care about being injured—and in some cases are even buffed by it—so forcing everyone to remain injured doesn't do much unless you're a chase demon or have perks like Thana, and the chain hit pretty much doesn't exist when even a single survivor is out of commission.

At a surface level Legion's power is solid, being quick and easy injuries to keep the survivors on the backfoot, the problem lies more in the nuance.

Unfortunately in solo queue, you can go a long time without realizing the killer has these particular addons, which multiplies the issue in size the more people in the match are solo. The main problem though is that I also see some of Iri Button Legions also running Dissolution. Honestly hate the perk design of both Spirit Fury and Dissolution, promotes such a boring brainless playstyle.

Yeah I mean when all the survivors just stay injured the killer is essentially just m1, although there is some skill expression with using power to cut off survivors from resources. Legion being weak is something that also needs to be changed by the developers by perhaps giving him something while he is out of power or chasing someone in the mending state, but his weakness of (usually) having to down survivors as a normal m1 killer is not something that should be solved by unhealthy addons that promote an unhealthy playstyle.

  • Agreed. These addons need to be addressed and they bottleneck Legion's balance

I agree. Maybe some tweaks to deep wound to make it actually mean something beyond cutting endurance would be nice.

Frankly I don't want Legion to change too much, but I wouldn't complain about buffs.
