Is it possible for the Carlos Oliveira skin get a remodel?

Love that they added Chris Redfield and Carlos Oliveira as alternative styles but they really made Carlos look puffy and more hefty rather than muscular and fit like a mercenary.

While fans love his physique, his broad shoulders and bulky tactical gear make him a massive target. It makes him incredibly easy for Killers to spot, even when hiding in bushes or around loops. Sleeker, more refined geometric modeling would help bridge the gap between aesthetics and practical gameplay

And his hair looks like a torn sponge, applying BHVR’s updated hair-rendering tech—seen in recent model leaks—would give his curls the natural volume and movement they deserve.

In Resident Evil 3 Remake

Carlos is incredibly fit, fast, and light on his feet. However, because his DBD model is stretched over Leon’s skeleton, his tactical vest and gear end up looking bloated and boxy instead of form-fitting. A dedicated model would allow his gear to wrap tightly around a slim, athletic frame, making him look like a streamlined soldier rather than a walking square.

Leon stands with his shoulders pushed back and his torso rigid, which spreads out Carlos's clothing and makes him look wider than he actually is. If Carlos had his own model, he could have a relaxed, loose, and slightly slouched stance. This would instantly make his silhouette look thinner, sleeker, and more natural when he's running around a loop.

  • I doubt the models will get changed until next year at the earliest. Our 6 Resident Evil characters didn't get new artwork for their prestige reward badges, likely because Capcom don't have an interest in doing further collaborations with Behaviour right now. Instead, BHVR used pre-existing key art for the Resi rewards. In terms of reworking something that already exists (like character models), I'm unsure if they could do it without Capcom's approval and to what extent, but even if they can, they don't have much financial incentive to do so with seemingly no new Resident Evil content in the pipeline.

The best chance of seeing a model rework will be next year, when Behaviour release the graphical overhaul they announced back in June of this year (presuming it doesn't get delayed into 2028, of course).
