Knight Beta Design (Artbook Spoilers)

It looks like an older knight design gave him white/blond hair, but more importantly, his scarf is reminiscent of a woman's shawl with its geometric/floral pattern and the fringe/lace around the edges.
Knowing that Tahros revered his mother and she loved him (and his siblings) dearly, I wonder if this was supposed to convey that visually with it being a shawl of hers that he managed to keep with himself. It could have also been an unrelated scarf that kust happened to remind him of his mother, but i like to this this was something of hers. The scarf in his final design is a plain red one, looking to be of a thicker, sturdier material, but I'd like to think it was still something of hers.
