Wesker is currently becoming unplayable, and it’s incredibly frustrating

I honestly feel like Wesker is in one of the worst states he has ever been in, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy playing him.

A lot of Wesker players are currently complaining about the state of his power. His dashes feel extremely inconsistent, especially when trying to dash near walls or other pieces of geometry. A huge part of Wesker’s gameplay is based around learning and mastering his movement, his techs, and his interactions with the map. However, after patch after patch, more and more of those techniques are being broken or made unreliable.

What is especially frustrating is that many of us have hundreds or even thousands of hours invested into mastering Wesker. We spent countless hours learning his dashes, his collision, his techs, and how to make the most out of his power. When these interactions are changed or become inconsistent due to patches, all that time and experience suddenly feels like it is being thrown away.

The current wall interaction is probably one of the biggest problems. If a survivor is close to a wall, there seems to be a significant chance that Wesker's dash will simply fail to register the hit, even when it visually looks like the survivor should clearly be hit. Sometimes it feels like the game just "eats" the hit. This makes playing around walls incredibly frustrating and turns situations that used to be predictable into complete coin flips.

And this isn't just about losing games. It's about the character no longer being fun to play.

I remember Wesker around the Vecna patch being in an absolutely fantastic state. He was incredibly fun to play as, and, in my opinion, he was also fun to play against. His power felt responsive, his techs were satisfying to learn, and there was a real sense that mastering his movement actually rewarded you.

Unfortunately, it feels like every patch since then has made things progressively worse. Instead of improving the experience, more and more interactions have become inconsistent, and many of the techniques that made Wesker unique and enjoyable are being negatively affected.

A lot of Wesker mains are simply starting to stop playing him because he isn't fun anymore. That's honestly a huge shame. Wesker has one of the most unique powers in Dead by Daylight, and there is a massive community of players who have dedicated an absurd amount of time to mastering him.

Please, Behaviour, consider looking at Wesker's current state and, if possible, bring him back closer to the state he was in last year or around the beginning of this year. We aren't asking for him to be overpowered. We just want his power to feel consistent, responsive and rewarding to master again.

Wesker was in a genuinely great spot before, and it would be a shame to lose such a fun and unique killer because his core mechanics have become increasingly unreliable.

Please don't let thousands of hours of Wesker mains' experience and mastery become irrelevant because of inconsistent interactions and bugs. We just want to enjoy playing Wesker again.

  • Yes, exactly this. We don't want him to be reinvented or his whole mechanics rewritten, Wesker was perfectly balanced before 9.5 - yes, there were some bugs, but when BHVR decided to change significant things about his collision and patched out Sky Wesker, everything went downhill and new worse bugs are piling up every patch now, even resulting in a killswitch and - as OP said - Wesker mains losing their fun in playing the character they spent tons of hours to learn in the first place.

Revert Wesker to his prior state from 9.4 and start fixing bugs like grabbing through pallets or walls from there. Leave Sky Wesker in the game as this change in particular did not only remove a fun goofy mechanic, but ruined his power fundamentally - this is what causes Wesker to stop mid-dash because there is a minor pebble or root on the floor. This makes his power go to waste and it feels like getting robbed in game. It's not fun! We're not complaining about losing games, it feels like the game itself robs Wesker players from hits, grabs and chain-bounds.

  • Removing Skai Wesker was a total mistake; because of it, serious problems started emerging — problems that prevent you from performing chain dashes. In the middle of a dash, there might be a texture like a mini‑hummock, and Wesker releases the survivor without hitting them, while also losing distance himself. His best state was 9.4.0; we need to take this as a foundation, keep Skai Wesker, and fix the bugs with the palette pull‑out.
