As a mentally disabled person, I absolutely despise BHVR pushing Nurse/Wraith.

Wraith's whole thing is being a genocide survivor who people who hurt others for money. Nurse tortured people for a living. That's what they did in turn of the century mental asylums. They tortured people. In order to get money, Nurse participated in the institutionalized torture of some of the most vulnerable people on the planet. Even ignoring the hate crime she committed, even ignoring her tome and her canonical eugenicist beliefs, she still tortured people in exchange for money. She's the exact sort of person Wraith would realistically rip the spine out of. In order to imagine a relationship between them you have to ignore literally everything that's been established about their characters.

I find it hard to imagine BHVR hinting at a relationship between the two of them if she had committed a hate crime against literally any other marginalized group. Do the devs think the sort of abuse that she committed is a thing of the past and therefore doesn't need to be taken as seriously as other bigotry? Do they just not think ableist hate crimes are a serious topic that needs to be handled with care? Because that's what they seem to be saying whenever they post romantic stuff between these two. It doesn't help that the ways people defend Nurse's actions are the exact same ######### people say when defending the murderers of disabled people in real life.

From my understanding wasn't her job for like 2 decades helping the patients in a mental asylum? I'm pretty sure the terrible conditions were what eventually drove her mad and led her to kill both patients and staff alike. Unless there's some other place where they dropped this lore you're talking about, she didn't torture people and definitely not for money.

Saying BHVR is pushing Wraith/Nurse when it was just one cosmetic pair released years ago is a real reach.

Also Nurses lore isn't quite what you say it is and honestly nurses lore is a mess and it's hard to pin her character down because her bio paints her as a heartbroken woman who slowly went insane working at an asylum performing what she saw as mercy killings on patients. Then you have her tome lore painting her as someone who believed in eugenics and killed patients because she didn't see them as human. We really need a second tome for nurse so we can have a clearer picture of her cuz it's unclear which version of her BHVR wants to actually present at this point in time.

I Will argue on good faith (even if the post doesnt do it)

1. wraith is not a moraly white character, even after killing the squad that was killing the people of the village he did still turn a blind eye to azarovs bussiness until he couldnt take it anymore. He does not seek justice unless it affects him personally.
2. Nurse is literally insane, the whole point of the tome imo is that her believes (the whole eugenics and cleansong stuff) is a twisted way of showing that the years of abuse, the death of her husband and all what she witnessed in the asylum made her insane, the whole point of the story is that by nurses logic she is probably the most impure one in crotus prenn, yet her hiprocisy and insanity eludes her. While the tome does have valid critisims, they are killers, they are mostly moraly wrong, they are evil, an evil being being hypocritical is nothing new.
3. this is all due to a skin collection and some comments by the devs, like why even bother. when people discuss for example oni the discussion will either be related about gameplay mechanics, balance or probably skins, there are so few people that would be talking about how oni is hinted to kill a child just because his son is a bum. better yet the blight and doctor are examples of unethical research and I have seen maybe 4 people discuss this, you know why? because its a videogame.
4. last point leads me to this point, they are videogame characters, at some point people will treat them like that, you dont see people discussing "blight is a critique of research used and funded by companies taking advantage of vulnerable population" even close to people saying "blight is obnoxious and bhvr needs to nerf his ass". because most people are just playing dbd and if some people created a ship between two characters I dont think the lore ramifications were a priority on that.
