Survivor rates and kill rates are junk data
The first law ( or one of them) in data is GIGO, garbage in garbage out. Amd dbd stats, which the dev team uses to make decisions, are garbage. 5%? 10% 15%? We dont know, and we can't know in the current state of play.
1. We have no baseline margin of error.
How many idling Dr's and blights or throwing players? How many rage quits? How many players trying new builds not really expecting a win? And how many subtle cheaters and exploiters changing the outcome?
We dont know. We can guess, but that is at best roulette, at worst outright deceit.
Why is it like that?
- the games architecture is woefully outdated and anticheats fail.
2. mod team blatant ignoring of issues. I know for a fact the moderation team has said they do not consider farming via a clicker a bannable offense. If they are so lax on that, what else are they letting through?
These issues and a few others ruin the data, and make for a worse experience because decions are being made of off that data.
Dbd can't realistically overhaul the web architecture overnight. But they can start taking moderation seriously.
This is a fix that will make the game more fair for everyone, we all want a fair game.
The cheating problem is a rot in DBD that poisons the whole game, mostly not noticeable at lower mmrs but at high level where every tweak is life and death it ruins any sense of balance.
